Online Game: I Have A 100\% Drop Rate - Chapter 178: Using The Elemental Skill Stone

Chapter 178: Chapter 178: Using The Elemental Skill Stone
[Elemental Skill Stone (Mythical): Using this will upgrade two of your element-related skills by one level as long as the skills are below level 5.]
Leon gazed at the stone’s description one last time to fully understand how it worked, and a wide grin spread on his face.
“Amazing,” he muttered under his breath, his tone filled with genuine satisfaction.
Out of everything the [Will of Nature] had dropped, this was easily the best item he had received, and aside from the [Will of Nature’s Curse], which had its own strange advantages, this might actually be the most impactful reward he had gotten from the entire fight.
Without wasting any more time, Leon immediately opened his skills panel, wanting to see exactly what he was working with before deciding how to use the stone.
[Skills: Appraisal (Common Lv.5), Vision Enhancement (Common Lv.4), Powerful Fireball (Common Lv.6), Storm of Lightning (Elite Lv.4), Crescent Slash (Epic Lv.2), Darkness Barrier (Epic Lv.2), Abyssal Slash (Legendary Lv.3), Blood Beam (Legendary Lv.1), Celestial Hand (Ancient Lv.2), Ice Spikes (Legendary Lv.1), Vine Cataclysm (Legendary Lv.1), Crimson Dance (Ascendant Lv.1)]
“Hm.”
Leon couldn’t help but notice something right away.
Despite having a wide variety of skills across multiple ranks, most of them were still at relatively low levels, far lower than what he actually wanted them to be.
With his [100% Drop Rate] talent, getting [Skill Stones] should have been much easier compared to other players, but the truth was that he simply hadn’t focused on that aspect yet.
He had been moving forward constantly, fighting stronger enemies, clearing dangerous zones, and chasing bigger opportunities, which meant that upgrading his skills had taken a bit of a backseat.
’Soon,’ Leon thought calmly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at the panel, ’Very soon.’
Once he started focusing on upgrading his skills properly, his overall strength would increase significantly, even if his [Combat Power] didn’t directly reflect it.
Higher-level skills often gained new effects, improved efficiency, or completely changed how they worked, which meant that investing in them was always worth it.
Out of curiosity, Leon quickly checked his [Storage Space] to see how many [Skill Stones] he had accumulated so far.
[Skill Stones x50]
“Not bad,” he said quietly, though his tone didn’t sound particularly impressed, “but not that good either.”
For most players, having fifty [Skill Stones] would already be considered an incredible amount, enough to significantly upgrade multiple abilities.
But for Leon, it still felt lacking. He wanted hundreds.
Still, it was more than enough to work with for now.
Looking back at his skill list, Leon quickly identified which abilities were eligible for the [Elemental Skill Stone].
Since the stone only worked on element-related skills that were below level 5, that narrowed down his options.
[Storm of Lightning], [Darkness Barrier], [Blood Beam], [Ice Spikes], and [Vine Cataclysm].
Among those, the first choice was obvious.
Fwoosh!
Leon poured his mana into the [Elemental Skill Stone], and as it began to glow faintly in his hand, a panel appeared before him.
Ding!
[Which skill do you wish to upgrade (2/2 uses left)]
“Storm of Lightning.” There was no hesitation in his voice.
The skill was already at level 4, meaning that upgrading it to level 5 would normally cost a large number of [Skill Stones], so using the stone on it was the most efficient choice.
Ding!
[You have upgraded “Storm of Lightning (Level 4)” to “Torrent of Lightning (Level 5)”]
“Nice.”
Leon immediately opened the updated skill panel.
[Torrent of Lightning (Elite Lv.5): Focus your Spirit and condense it into a torrent of lightning that can hit multiple targets in a wide area and possibly stun them.]
The description hadn’t changed much, but Leon could already tell that the actual power behind the skill had increased significantly.
Stronger damage, wider range, better effects. Exactly what he wanted.
Now, he had one more use left. His gaze shifted to the remaining options.
’Either [Blood Beam], [Ice Spikes], or [Vine Cataclysm],’ he thought, carefully considering each one.
All three were [Legendary]-rank and sitting at level 1, which meant they had a lot of room to grow.
But among them…
“Vine Cataclysm it is,” Leon decided with a small nod.
However, instead of using the [Elemental Skill Stone] immediately, he paused for a moment.
If he used [Skill Stones] first to level it up as much as possible, then used the [Elemental Skill Stone] afterward, he could maximize the value of the upgrade.
With fifty [Skill Stones] available, he could push the skill quite far before finishing it off.
Fwoosh!
Leon quickly pulled out forty-five [Skill Stones] from his [Storage Space], and crushed them all at once as energy surged outward.
Ding!
[You have consumed 10 + 15 + 20 Skill Stones.]
[Congratulations, you have upgraded “Vine Cataclysm (Level 1)” to “Vine Apocalypse (Level 4)”]
“Heh.”
A faint grin appeared on Leon’s face as he saw the result.
Reaching level 4 just like that saved him a massive amount of time and effort.
Normally, the next upgrade would cost thirty [Skill Stones], which was quite expensive, but now…
Fwoosh! Ding!
[Which skill do you wish to upgrade (1/2 uses left)]
Leon didn’t hesitate for even a second.
“Vine Apocalypse.”
The [Elemental Skill Stone] shattered in his hand as its power activated.
Ding!
[You have upgraded “Vine Apocalypse (Level 4)” to “Vines of Torment (Level 5)”]
[Vines of Torment (Legendary Lv.5): Your vines seek nothing but death and agony, they will emerge from the ground and destroy anything in their way, leave none of them standing.]
“…Damn.”
This time, the change was much more noticeable. Not just in power, but in intent.
The skill’s description itself felt more aggressive.
Leon could already imagine how devastating it would be in battle.
He was definitely looking forward to testing it out later.
Satisfied with his upgrades, Leon finally closed his panels and turned toward Celeste.
“Alright,” he said with a small grin, “time to go.”
Celeste, who had been crouched nearby while playing with Pyra, immediately looked up, her expression brightening.
“Yay~”
She seemed genuinely excited, not just about leaving, but about everything that had happened.
Her growth during this entire sequence had been massive as well, especially after using the [Mega Constitution Enhancement (A-Level)] sub-talent scroll Leon had given her.
Her [Constitution] had increased significantly, and her [Combat Power] had now reached around 420,000, which was a huge improvement compared to before.
“Kyu~!”
Pyra chirped happily as she flew in small circles around Celeste, clearly enjoying herself.
“Alright, Pyra,” Celeste said, placing her hands on her hips, “go back inside the [Pet Space], we’re about to leave.”
She didn’t seem very confident that Pyra would actually listen.
And yet—
Fwoosh!
Without any resistance, Pyra immediately flew toward Celeste and disappeared into her chest, returning to the [Pet Space] instantly.
“Wow!” Celeste’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “She actually listened to me!”
Leon chuckled softly.
“That just means your bond with her is improving,” he said, nodding approvingly. “Good job.”
With that settled, both of them turned their attention toward the far end of the [Temple of Nature].
The place where the [Will of Nature] had once been restrained was now empty, replaced by a glowing green portal that pulsed softly with energy.
“That’s our exit,” Leon said as he began walking toward it. “Let’s go, we still have a lot to do.”
Celeste followed closely behind, though she let out a small sigh.
“I hope we can get a little break before that,” she admitted. “This was intense…”
Leon glanced back at her and smiled slightly.
“Sure,” he said. “We’ll head back to [Divine Academy City]. I wanted to wait there anyway.”
The [Temple of Nature] had taken less time than he had expected, which meant that his [Domain Travel] cooldown hadn’t reset yet.
Until then, taking a short break wasn’t a bad idea.
After everything they had just gone through, they had earned it.
A few seconds later, they arrived in front of the portal.
Without hesitation, Leon stepped forward, and Celeste followed right behind him.
Fwoosh!
Their surroundings blurred instantly as the portal activated, pulling them out of the [Temple of Nature] and transporting them elsewhere.
For a brief moment, everything faded into light.
And then—
Ding!
They reappeared on the other side of the [Ancient Gate], standing once again inside the [Will of Nature’s Attack Zone].
