Chapter 179: Chapter 179: The Goddess of Nature’s Introduction, Small Rest Before Domain Travel
Meanwhile…
Garden of Eden, Eternal Domain.
Ding!
[The “Will of Nature” has been killed by “Celestial”]
“…Hm?”
A soft voice echoed through a vast, peaceful landscape filled with endless flowers swaying gently under a calm breeze, as a tall figure resting on a bed of blooming petals slowly lifted her gaze toward the panel that had just appeared before her.
Her expression remaining composed, almost indifferent, as if nothing in the world could truly disturb her state of mind.
She was breathtakingly beautiful, with long golden hair cascading down her back like sunlight itself, her features delicate yet flawless, and her entire presence surrounded by a serene aura that felt both comforting and overwhelmingly powerful at the same time.
“The… [Will of Nature]?” she murmured quietly, her tone thoughtful as she tried to recall something that sounded so distant it almost felt irrelevant.
For a moment, she genuinely didn’t remember. It had been too long.
Too many years had passed since that name held any meaning to her.
But after a few seconds, something clicked.
“Oh… that thing,” she said with a faint grin forming on her lips, as if she had just remembered something trivial, “Too bad, I guess.”
Her reaction was casual, almost dismissive, completely opposite to the intense hatred that the [Will of Nature] had harbored toward her for so long.
To him, she had been everything. The one he wanted to destroy and surpass.
The one he had spent years raging against while trapped in the [Temple of Nature].
And yet, to her… He was barely worth remembering.
All that hatred, all that anger… had been entirely one-sided from the very beginning.
The figure who had spoken those words was none other than the [Goddess of Nature] herself.
[Elowen, The Goddess of Nature].
The place she resided in, the [Garden of Eden], was her personal domain within the [Eternal Domain], a space that existed solely for her, shaped entirely by her will, where she could do whatever she pleased without restriction.
Slowly, Elowen rose from the bed of flowers, the petals shifting gently beneath her as she stood, her height reaching around two meters, her presence both elegant and overwhelming.
Everything she wore was made from nature itself.
Her dress was woven from vibrant flowers that never wilted.
Her sandals were formed from living vines that wrapped softly around her feet.
And above her head floated a delicate halo made of small glowing plants, radiating a faint, natural light.
She was the very embodiment of nature.
And yet… undeniably dangerous.
Because beneath that serene appearance was still a god.
And like all gods… she was capable of cruelty beyond comprehension, willing to do anything to achieve her goals, no matter the cost.
“My garden has been doing quite well lately,” Elowen said softly as she stretched her arms slightly, her voice calm and satisfied, “Only a few more years… and it might finally be ready.”
Her words carried a strange weight, as if she was preparing something far greater than what could be seen on the surface.
But her attention didn’t remain there for long.
Instead, her gaze returned to the panel that had appeared earlier.
More specifically… to the name displayed within it.
“Celestial…” she whispered, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as a spark of interest appeared within them, “Is it actually another one of them?”
There was a brief pause as she thought about it, her expression slowly shifting into something more intrigued.
“If that’s the case… then that would make them number 200.”
A wider smile formed on her face as that realization settled in.
“…Which means they’re all here now.”
There was something unsettling about the way she said it, as if this was something she had been waiting for.
“Heh…” she chuckled softly, her tone filled with quiet amusement. “I guess I won’t be telling the others.”
Rather than reacting with concern or urgency, Elowen simply sat back down on her bed of flowers.
Her posture relaxed as her glowing eyes reflected countless thoughts and possibilities unfolding within her mind.
Around her, several plant-like creatures moved about.
Some were small, almost cute in appearance, with soft glowing leaves and gentle movements.
Others were massive, towering beings made of thick vines and bark, their presence far more intimidating.
They surrounded her like loyal pets, reacting to her emotions as if they could feel her thoughts.
“Calm down, my children,” Elowen said gently as she extended her arms, trying to embrace as many of them as she could at once, her smile never fading, “I’m sure that very soon… you’ll be able to eat as much as you want.”
There was a faint glint in her eyes as she spoke, something dark hidden behind her otherwise gentle demeanor.
…
Back to Leon and Celeste.
The two of them stood once again inside the [Will of Nature’s Attack Zone], having just exited the [Temple of Nature], their surroundings returning to the familiar sight of countless vines slowly moving across the area.
Despite the boss being defeated, the environment itself hadn’t changed.
The vines were still alive.
“Wait,” Celeste said as she looked around, her brows furrowing slightly in confusion, “we killed the [Will of Nature], so how are these still here?”
Leon glanced around calmly before answering, his tone steady as always.
“Because it obviously wasn’t the [Will of Nature] that was stopping people from entering the [Ancient Gate] in the first place.”
“Huh?” Celeste blinked, clearly not following. “Then who was it?”
Leon didn’t hesitate, “The [Goddess of Nature],” he replied.
Celeste froze for a moment, her eyes widening in shock, “A… goddess?!”
Her reaction was completely normal.
After all, beings like gods weren’t something most players even knew about at this stage.
Even Leon, in his past life, hadn’t learned about them until much later.
“She probably placed all of this here herself,” Leon continued calmly. “Though I doubt she even remembers doing it.”
That alone said enough.
To a god, something like sealing the [Will of Nature] and surrounding it with deadly vines was likely nothing more than a minor action, something not even worth remembering over time.
Still, Leon’s gaze shifted toward the [Ancient Gate].
And then—
CRACK!
Small cracks suddenly appeared across its surface.
Until it shattered completely, breaking apart and disintegrating into nothingness.
“…Well,” Leon shrugged slightly, “guess there’s no reason for this place to exist anymore.”
Now that the [Will of Nature] was gone, the purpose of the gate had disappeared along with it.
But deep inside, Leon’s expression turned cold for just a brief moment.
’Don’t worry… [Goddess of Nature],’ he thought silently, ’I’ll get to you eventually.’
“Is she evil?” Celeste asked after a moment, still processing everything she had just heard. “The [Goddess of Nature], I mean.”
“Yes,” Leon replied instantly, without even thinking. “No mercy if we ever see her, or any other god for that matter.”
He paused briefly before adding,
“Though right now… we’re nowhere near strong enough.”
Celeste nodded slowly, absorbing that information.
“Wow… alright.”
Even with their current strength, they were still insignificant compared to gods.
But that didn’t mean they would stay that way.
As long as they kept growing stronger, that gap would eventually shrink.
“How many gods are there?” Celeste asked curiously as she noticed Leon opening his [World Map].
Leon shrugged, “No idea. Maybe a hundred. Maybe more. Doesn’t really matter.”
He wasn’t trying to avoid the question. He genuinely didn’t know.
And even if he did… it wouldn’t change anything.
“Hold on to me,” Leon said with a small smile.
Celeste immediately grabbed his hand.
Ding!
[Do you wish to teleport to “Divine Academy City”?]
“Yes.”
Fwoosh!
In an instant, the two of them disappeared and reappeared just outside the city.
They quickly made their way inside, blending into the busy environment filled with players and natives moving about.
“We can rest for a few hours,” Leon said as they walked. “At least until [Domain Travel] resets.”
“Yay~!” Celeste beamed. “I want to try a restaurant or something!”
“Deal,” Leon replied with a grin.
After wandering around for a bit, they found one of the most crowded places in the area, clearly a popular spot.
It took them around thirty minutes to get a table, but once they were finally seated—
“I want EVERYTHING,” Celeste declared to the server without hesitation.
Leon couldn’t help but laugh.
“Bring everything,” he added.
The server hesitated for a moment before nodding nervously, “A-Alright…”
About twenty minutes later, dozens of plates filled the table, covering it completely with food of all kinds.
Celeste’s eyes sparkled as she stared at it.
“Do all phoenix-race individuals eat this much?” Leon asked with a smile.
“I don’t think so,” Celeste said, blushing slightly. “But I’m special, so… let’s enjoy this!”
“Sure,” Leon sighed, amused.
It took her an entire hour to finish everything.
Leon only ate a bit here and there, mostly watching in mild disbelief as she somehow managed to consume it all.
At one point, she even summoned Pyra to help eat, before sending her back again.
Once they were done, Leon paid for everything, which barely affected his balance, and they left.
“We still have around five hours,” Leon said. “We can rest at an inn.”
They quickly found one near the [Divine Academy] and got a room.
As soon as they entered—
“You can sleep,” Leon said. “I’ll wake you up when the cooldown ends.”
“Alright, thanks!” Celeste smiled.
Fwoosh!
“Kyu!”
She summoned Pyra again, and the two of them quickly fell asleep together.
Leon, on the other hand, sat quietly at the edge of the bed, his gaze calm but thoughtful.
’Well…’ he thought with a faint grin, ’things are going well for now…’
But even then…
’I still need to be careful.’
