Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Introduction to Higher Domain #3 [2]
“Still,” Emilia continued, her tone becoming a bit more serious again, “moving from one district to another isn’t something you can do freely.”
“Oh?” Leon raised an eyebrow, clearly interested.
“To go from the [Newbie District] to the [Advanced District], you need to complete your assessment once you reach level 75,” she explained, “and after that, if you want to enter the [Awakener District], you need to pass a special test given by the [Awakener Lord].”
That was pretty much everything Emilia knew about the structure of this place so far, and Leon simply nodded as he processed the information.
By this point, he had already formed a clear understanding of how this domain worked.
And even though it was different, it wasn’t something he couldn’t adapt to.
’It’s crazy to think that some players might spend years inside this kingdom,’ Leon thought as he looked at the buildings around him, many of which looked worn down, ’but I guess in some areas, it must feel almost like a normal life.’
The place they were currently in, however, was far from that.
The streets were crowded, the buildings were simple, and there was a constant noise in the air that made it clear this was just the starting point for everyone.
“Don’t worry,” Emilia said with a confident grin as if she could read their thoughts, “you can think of this as the outskirts of the kingdom, things get much better once you move further in.”
“Alright,” Leon replied calmly.
Both he and Celeste knew that they would need to adapt to this new environment quickly.
Because unlike [Higher Domain #1], where they had more freedom to explore, this place was more structured and restricted.
Still, the sheer size of the [Awakener Kingdom] meant that there would be plenty of opportunities hidden within it.
As they continued walking, Leon suddenly thought of something important.
“But wait a minute,” he said as he looked at Emilia, “how do you even level up here if everything is inside the kingdom and the dangerous monsters are outside where nobody can survive?”
Hearing that, Emilia’s smile grew even wider, almost as if she had been waiting for that exact question.
“I wondered the same thing when I first got here,” she admitted, “but once I figured it out, it actually made a lot of sense.”
She then pointed forward toward a massive tower-like structure in the distance.
“Let’s head to the [Central Hub],” she said, her tone filled with excitement, “you’ll understand everything once we get there.”
Leon and Celeste exchanged a brief glance, both of them curious about what she meant.
And without saying anything else, they simply nodded and followed her.
As they continued walking deeper into the [Newbie District], the atmosphere around them slowly began to change in a very noticeable way.
The streets that had once felt cramped and chaotic were now much wider, allowing players and natives to move more freely without constantly bumping into one another.
And the buildings themselves no longer looked worn down or hastily constructed, instead appearing more refined, organized, and even somewhat elegant in their design.
The number of guards patrolling the area increased significantly, along with the presence of groups of players who seemed far more disciplined and focused.
“Players from the [Advanced District] and [Awakener District] are not allowed to enter the [Newbie District],” Emilia explained calmly as she walked slightly ahead of Leon and Celeste, occasionally glancing back at them, “which means that for now, this place should be relatively safe for people at our level.”
Leon and Celeste both nodded as they listened, slowly starting to piece together how this [Awakener Kingdom] truly functioned beyond just its surface-level structure.
Even though they understood the basics now, they both knew that actually experiencing it firsthand would be the only way to fully grasp everything.
“Makes me wonder,” Leon suddenly spoke as he looked at Emilia with a faint smile forming on his face, “what did you get in your assessment?”
Hearing that, Emilia immediately smiled back.
“Unfortunately, no x5 multiplier on Strength or Agility,” she replied with a light shrug, clearly aware of what Leon was hinting at.
“Damn, too bad,” Leon shook his head as if he was genuinely disappointed, “that would have been amazing.”
“Heh… I don’t really need Strength anyway,” Emilia said, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear, “but Agility would have been nice, I won’t deny that.”
As she said that, Emilia opened her status panel without hesitation and quickly sent the relevant information to both Leon and Celeste.
“My talent gained a new passive,” she added, “and I also got a new skill, both of them are pretty strong, so I can’t really complain.”
Leon and Celeste immediately focused on the panels that appeared before them.
They carefully read through everything she had just shared.
—
[Elven Saintess (SS-Level): You are the saintess of all elven races, whether normal elves, dark elves or high elves, you stand above them all as their saintess.]
[Your reputation with all races is increased slightly more than anybody else, making them more eager to cooperate with you.]
[Your magical abilities are significantly boosted, you do not need to chant or use too much mana to cast spells, and your cooldowns are reduced as well.]
[Your relationship with beasts is among the best there is, and they will always be loyal to you no matter what.]
[New Passive: You can sense danger coming your way much more efficiently, allowing you to predict whether something catastrophic will happen to you or your companions.]
—
Leon read through it once, his expression remaining calm as he already knew of most of it.
“Yeah,” he nodded, “that new passive is pretty good.”
On the other hand, this was the very first time Celeste had ever seen Emilia’s talent in full detail.
And the moment she finished reading it, her eyes began to sparkle with amazement.
“Wow…” she said without holding back, “your talent is way better than mine, it’s so much more versatile and useful in every situation!”
Without hesitation, Celeste also sent her own talent panel to Emilia, allowing her to see it clearly.
Emilia read through it quickly, and almost immediately, a grin spread across her face.
“You must be joking~” she said, clearly amused, “your talent is insanely strong, you just need more [Embers].”
“I’ve been trying to find a way to get more,” Leon added with a slight shake of his head, “but so far, nothing. We’ll have to figure it out eventually.”
Once again, Leon briefly considered using his [Divine Answer] to get a guaranteed solution, but he dismissed the idea.
That skill was far too valuable to waste on something that could likely be discovered through exploration and experience.
Still, there was no doubt in his mind that obtaining more [Embers] would drastically increase Celeste’s strength.
As for the skill Emilia had obtained, Leon turned his attention to the next panel.
[Star Comet (Ancient Lv.1): Use the power of your Spirit to summon a star comet from the sky to annihilate your enemies.]
“Ancient-rank,” Leon nodded, “Indeed, it’s incredibly powerful.”
That was only one rank below ascendant after all.
