Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights - Chapter 212: The Hunt

Chapter 212: The Hunt
Mrs. Joy’s eyes opened and they gleamed. As she sat up, she saw Valentina looking at her.
Through the glass, several others also gazed at her. Her eyes locked on her children, who stared at her like they saw a corpse gain life.
A portal appeared beside her and a tall black horse emerged. Mrs. Joy placed her palm on her summon’s neck with a soft smile.
“I have a summon.”
Percival and Priscilla rushed in and embraced their mother.

Some hours later, when it was close to the evening, Godfrey stood on the North Gate with Percival, Isaac, and Lucy as they watched Valentina, Mrs. Joy, Freya, and Priscilla having fun in the tall field.
Mrs. Joy mounted her horse, who galloped on clouds. It also manifested clouds beneath Priscilla and Valentina’s feet, lifting them off the ground.
“I can’t watch anymore, I’m going to join them!” Isaac declared as he leaped over the wall. Lucy giggled softly and yet followed him after glancing at Percival.
Percival glanced at Godfrey. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. I understand your rage,” Godfrey responded. “What frightened me was that I thought you would be much calmer than me. I’m afraid of what I would have done if I was in your place.”
“I’ve seen what it’s like when you lose control…” Percival looked at Godfrey. “…It’s terrifying, but I’m an Origin Tier now. I can stop you.”
Godfrey smiled softly. “I’m counting on that. Meanwhile, I don’t think I’ll stay in paradise for long. The fight against the red gate increased the tier of some of my summons, but if I want to access stronger ones, I need to be more proactive in dungeon raiding.”
Percival blinked. “You have another summon you haven’t awakened?!” He was stupefied. Six was already a world record; Godfrey wasn’t the first to have six, but he might as well be the only one with an array of such strong summons.
But seven? Godfrey would truly break the record, becoming the first summoner to own seven summons!
The most terrifying thing was that each one was stronger than the last.
Godfrey didn’t reply, but the look he had said it all. Origin Tiers were stepping out of their hiding places, and he wouldn’t be able to handle them with his current strength.
Something told him this dragon knight and the others would be much different than the rest, in regards to strength, of course.
He was about to unlock some powerful knights with powers beyond belief. Knowing that he could have access to such power made Godfrey unable to sleep well.
He needed it. If Cain managed to get a hold of Sebastian, then the entire paradise was doomed.
Deep within him, he felt it. Cain was coming for his mother, and this time that self proclaimed god intended to succeed at all cost. Percival’s situation revealed to him that there were more hidden cards Cain could pull out.
“Should the gang join you?”
“No. I need all the cores I can get.” Godfrey’s reply made Percival click his tongue.
“Quite a selfish king,” he mused. “What about her? She likes it here.”
Godfrey looked at Freya, who lay on a floating cloud with a blissful face. “We all like it here. It’s a place we can express ourselves without judgmental gazes and the authorities hunting us down.”
“Isn’t it strange? If you think about it, the hate we receive is because of one man. Cain. Not only because of what he did in the past, but because he has never allowed it to leave the minds of people. He caged that fear inside of them, forcing them to chase people like us out to either join his followers or become a vagabond. The entire structure was built by him, with his clones unknowingly voting for his ideals, strengthening his political power,” Percival said with a solemn face.
“How’s progress with Lucy? At this rate, I don’t know who will get her. You or Isaac.” Godfrey’s out-of-subject reply made Percival glare at him.
“Stick to Isolde,” he snapped, and Godfrey laughed.

Two Grand Black Moons stood in a tall, walled hall with a massive image of Cain’s summon.
“The Silver Moon has given the go-ahead. Once the genie makes the wish, we will have what we need to resurrect the Lord of Summoners,” one of them said to the other.
“What about the boy who has the Phathani as his summons?”
“Bodhi will be sent to lead the mission, and he is an Origin Tier summoner. Failure, I believe, will not be possible.”
Both esteemed figures walked through the hallway, receiving bows from those they came across until they entered the grand hall, and their faces paled at the sight of the huge glass that held a great amount of water where Cain was placed.
However, right now… their god was nowhere to be found?!
Both of them quickly kowtowed, trembling heavily. The door behind them opened, and the sound of heels tapping the hard floor struck their ears repeatedly.
Both of them looked and saw Nerissa in her silver robe, which couldn’t reach the floor because of the great length of her heels. Her eyes fell on them.

In a bar within a dungeon city, a handsome man with black hair held a small glass cup in his hand. His eyes would shimmer, and the cup would change its colour.
’I guess with the black glimmer, I can project my own illusion into the world and it would become a reality,’ Snow mused inwardly.
“Godfrey can close down a Divine Tier red gate. That’s impressive, but I hope that’s not all he can do. The mana tree should have given him a fruit. If it hasn’t, then he hasn’t reached the Origin Tier, but that’s impossible.”
“Hey, handsome!” A girl waved at him with a charming smile. Snow shot her a glance and waved his hand.
“Get lost.”
The girl’s face changed. Just then, Rowana walked through the dancing crowd, came to their seat with wine in a small bucket filled with ice. She looked stunning in her glittering pink gown.
Snow looked at her, and her pink gown changed to black with glittering silver shimmer. Rowana glared at him.
Snow reversed the effect and took the wine. As he was about to pop it, two men in black suits approached him, one of them being Agent Bram himself.
“Master Adonis White. It’s been a while. We’ve noticed you’ve been a lot more interested in dungeon raids than school of late,” Bram told him with a firm tone.
Snow raised an eyebrow. “And what does that have to do with you?”
“Well, since you won’t become an agent anymore, you’ll be paid as a freelancer, and your mission will be to help us find Godfrey. I assure you, the reward will be worth it.”
