Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights - Chapter 217: An Easy Kill

Chapter 217: An Easy Kill
Godfrey was currently sitting at tier 19.6. In Black-Out, he could touch the periphery of Origin Tier but that would change depending on who he gave this core.
His stronger knights gave him less in Symbiosis. Mountain could give him a complete 50% return but calling Mountain right now would leave the boy outside, defenceless.
Especially now that he discovered the boy’s mother might be in one of these floors. It was strange how dungeons handled normal humans.
The probability of her being alive was low.
Back to the main issue. Ballista was guarding his mother so he wasn’t available. Which leaves Tempest, Lament, Dirge and Lysander.
Pushing Lysander upward might help him unlock the next knight but this core wouldn’t give him much. On the other hand, it could do wonders for Lament.
His Mounted Knight was still his most iconic.
“Lament.” Godfrey muttered softly as he opened a portal from which Lament came out astride his warhorse.
Lament had reached his limit at 12.5 which was why he was hoping a 13.8 Throne-Tier core could stimulate his potential.
Mountain had shown growth, same for Ballista and Tempest.
“Here.” Godfrey stretched forth his hand and Lament took the core. It melted, the pure mana flowing through his arm into his body and down to his mount.
A pale golden glow emanated from Lament. A spiral golden horn grew out of the plate armour on his mount’s head. Lament’s armour became more intricate with double pauldrons, scar like openings on his great helmet replacing the teary eye holes and the golden foliage on top of his great helm became fuller.
A huge round shield with lots of runes etched round and round like a spiral manifested out of golden light and hardened into a heavy looking metal shield.
Lament and his mount grew so much that together, they were sixteen feet tall. His cloak was split into two and had different colours, one side pale gold and the other ghostly silver.
He grew from 12.5 to 14.0 with a potential of 15.9!
His evolution made Godfrey smile. Not only was Lament now more powerful, through Symbiosis, he the summoner also inched closer to the Origin Tier without Black-Out State.
With Dirge and Lament behind him, Godfrey went through the next door. After two more floors, Godfrey’s expression grew solemn.
The two bosses he faced weren’t that much stronger from the first one and his knights handled them. There was no need for him to step in, however, he doubted the boy’s mother was alive anymore.
And… contrary to what he first assumed. He might be in this dungeon for a while. Each floor was like a world of its own, it was better when the monsters came toward you but going after them took much time.
“Let’s go.” He told Lysander, Dirge, Lament and Tempest as he approached the next gate. The two cores had gone to Dirge but she didn’t evolve. It seemed like he would have to invest in Tempest for now.
As he came out from the other side of the light gate, Godfrey found himself in a forest. The trees were thick with a large canopy of green leaves. There wasn’t much grass but different sizes of boulders were a common sight, some trees even grew on them.
“I wonder which monster we’re going to fac—” Godfrey’s eyes widened at the sight of a shoe. A woman’s shoe lying beside a tree with thick roots.
’This might be where she is.’ He said inwardly. “Tempest, summon your bear army and head south, Dirge, you head north. Lament, you’ll head west and Lysander head east.” At his command, the golden knights moved out.

Tempest walked into a clearing with thirty lightning bears, the bear lord increasing their numbers to thirty one.
Tempest eyes gleamed as he tightened his grip around his weapon’s hilt. Before him were orcs, hundreds of them in a valley, thronging the bald cliff of a hill.
All of them were green skinned, not the normal kind. It was a repulsive green. Dark and ominous. These orcs were also taller than high orcs, with the shortest of them being around nine feet.
They wore beast skins and fangs. All of them faced the biggest orc Tempest had ever seen. This orc stood on top of the bald hill and he held a human woman by the head, hovering her above the horde.
This orc wore a white bear’s skin. Its head was on the Orc’s head with the bear’s fangs tilting downward while the arms of the bear came down the orc’s shoulders, right to his chest.
The woman it held up struggled, crying as she stared at death right in the eye. And the death she stared at were the hundreds of ravenous humanoid beasts awaiting her fall.
These were corrupted orcs, high orcs that had been blessed by the berserk demon god to become rampaging monsters of overwhelming brute strength and madness.
They ate their catch alive. They were the worst kind of orcs to face, they were plagues. Even the greenery in and around this valley had faded.
Tempest knew these orcs very well because of the cost it took to bring them down. There were two chimeric phoenixes, the male and the female.
Unlike other knights, he wasn’t made to rule over troops but to become a terrifying machine of destruction to his foes by working with his partner, the female chimeric phoenix knight.
Lightning crackled through Tempest’s Double-Bladed Greatsword as he remembered how she fell to these orcs.
It was like he was back there, as that orc stabbed a rod through her chest. The sight of her tendril wings growing dimmer reflected in Tempest’s eyes like he watched it happen once more.
The orc warlock noticed Tempest and raised an eyebrow. It lifted its large, muscular arm and pointed at the knight.
“Vuka!” His voice reverberated through the valley. Hundreds of robust orcs turned, their eyes on Tempest and his lightning bears.
Roars filled the valley as they charged upward.
Tempest entered Black-Out State, and his wings lifted him off the ground. The bear lord roared, brandishing his claws before leading his immortal until of bears against an army of Throne and Saint Tier orcs.
Tempest aimed to recover the human woman while his bear army acted as distraction but when he flung his Double-Bladed Greatsword at the orc warlock, it simply grabbed it.
All that velocity and lightning was useless against the 19.9 Divine Tier orc who flung the sword back.
Tempest grabbed it, calling forth a descent of lightning on the orc after it tossed the human woman aside. The warlock leaped out of the pillar of lightning, moving so fast, Tempest only reacted when the warlock hit him.
His claws dug into Tempest’s chest plate as it raised the other hand and slammed down on the Knight’s head.
Dust exploded high, leaving a mushroom image in the sky as the forest shook.
The warlock grinned as it rose to its feet, tilted its head toward the sky and roared victoriously.
An easy kill.

A/N: One more Chapter is coming. I just need a break, probably a nap and I’ll get back to the next Chapter.
