Chapter 218: Life Draining Orc Warlock
’Tempest!’ Godfrey’s expression changed as he felt a heavy drop in his mana, and a dust cloud appeared above the trees.
’Whatever could kill Tempest so fast has to be the boss of this floor.’ Godfrey covered himself in Echo armour and shot forward, blitzing right past trees like a golden phantom.
He swiftly retrieved the rest of his knights.
On the other hand, the orc warlock frowned deeply when Tempest disintegrated into light particles.
The moment it turned, the warlock’s lupine ears perked, and the orc turned its head back. It frowned as Godfrey stopped where Tempest crashed.
He could see the outline of his knight on the ground. His eyes went to the orc warlock, who was already sizing him up.
It spat a mocking look in its eyes as his size was simply pathetic compared to what the orc warlock had faced.
The orc warlock turned completely and crossed its arms. It was massive, robust, with intimidating muscles, and nearly thirteen feet tall.
Godfrey gazed at the hundreds of corrupted orcs behind the warlock with gleaming eyes. Most of them were Throne Tier and Saint Tier. A terrifying army that could wipe out top guilds’ elite combatant teams.
To think the difficulty would rise up so much. Was this the last floor?
“Your defiant gaze amazes me. Somehow, you think you can defeat me and my army?” The orc warlock language made Godfrey’s eyes narrow slightly.
“Think?” Godfrey manifested a longsword as diagrams appeared behind him, from which Lament, Dirge and Lysander came out from. Dirge and Lament immediately entered Black-Out, Lament rising to 15.0 while Dirge rose to 14.5, and they unleashed their forces.
“You want to fight us, the most powerful creations of our god, with these weaklings? Only those three are worth a glance.” The orc warlock mocked.
“For an orc, you talk a little too much.” Godfrey brandished his longsword.
The orc warlock carried his arm up as if he wanted to suspend the clouds. That move caused greenish mist to pour out of his palm, and life began to drain from his knights.
Lightning crackled and Godfrey appeared behind the orc, slicing the spot at the back of his knees. To the warlock’s shock, Godfrey’s sword sliced through his flesh and he fell to his knees.
“Argh!” Roaring in fury, he absorbed life from the earth and trees around, healing instantly before summoning a black axe.
Just then, Lament charged towards the corrupted orcs. They were strong with powerful builds, but the Heavy Cavalry was the Golden Order’s best, and now that their leader was a 15.0 Throne Tier, the Night Cavalry were all 13.0 Throne Tier.
Coupled with the speed of their horses, their power almost doubled. After all, the strength of a cavalry was its charge. As a shock troop, they were meant to deal great damages in one swift blow in order to shift the tide.
That was exactly what they did. They rammed into the prideful corrupted orcs, tearing through their ranks with ease.
Dirge’s shadows joined the battle, but none of them were a match for the 16.0 Saint Tier Lysander in Black-Out State.
He simply took out his axe and made one move. That alone left lots of heads rolling. Lysander was a phantom, flickering with speed that was almost impossible. He didn’t leave a sound, that large axe swung too easily, like it weighed nothing.
He danced through the ranks of the corrupted orcs with the grace of an elf and the killing efficiency of a Golden Order knight.
While this fight went on, the orc warlock swung his axe, unleashing a green crescent arc that drained all life from everything it hit, strengthening the warlock and enraging him further.
“You’re strong, I’ll admit. But… not strong enough to back up your claims.” Godfrey’s voice rang in the orc’s ears, and it looked down to see Godfrey at his side.
Just as he was about to move, Godfrey swung his arm. He was too fast for the orc to follow; it only noticed when everything went upside down.
The orc warlock lost his head!
’That is for Tempest and look…’ Godfrey turned to the other side of the battlefield, where the last few of the orc warlock’s warriors were cut down by Lysander.
His eyes went to the bald cliff. There, a woman stood, unsure if she should be hopeful or not. Godfrey went up the hill with a single leap. Upon landing, he sensed a dungeon core in a huge tent made of several beast skins stitched together, but ignored it as he faced the woman.
“Do you have a son?”
Her eyes widened.
“Jasper. I— What happened to him?” She almost broke into tears.
“He’s fine. He’s under protection. Once I get the core, we should be out of here.” Godfrey went into the tent, grabbed the core, but when he came out, his eyes landed on a gate of light not far away.
’Another gate?!’
Godfrey looked at the Divine Tier core in his hand. More gates meant stronger bosses, but it also meant he could try aiming for unsealing the next castle chamber.
“Lysander.” Godfrey tossed the core to his elf knight. Lysander caught the core. After absorbing it, he rose from 15.0 to 16.0, a massive growth of 1.0 which, for his tier, was incredibly massive.
Two more bosses of this grade and the dragon knight would be unsealed!

Antarctica.
With a scream, a ten feet tall woman with immaculate proportions fit for a female Amazon warrior sliced through a white gorilla. This Amazon warrior was a humanoid summon and fused with her was her summoner, Eliza.
The Amazon warrior lifted up her head at the dozens of trees launched at her and the others fleeing. She brandished her sword and small round shield before slamming them together.
That action produced a soundless wave that shattered the tree trunks mid-air.
Just then, an Asian Weaver Ant flew right past her, crashing through several trees.
Eliza’s expression grew heavier as she saw her guild master, Caspian, atop his summon, the Ironfrost Phoenix.
A massive beast with feathers that were like steel and ice so cold it was proclaimed the coldest in the entire region. Not even dragon ice could beat it.
At a flap of its wings, a massive amount of sharp ice would be sent down and they would rise up to form walls of ice. Caspian had been doing this to slow the gorillas down, but the more they ran, the more they were pushed into a corner.
Some of them were already badly injured. Worse still, the gorilla boss had not made a move.
