Chapter 360:We Need To Find More
King Albrecht walked slowly down the steps of the throne.
“Listen carefully,” he said. “This is not a war to be won by sheer force. This is a war of intent, information, and timing.”
He gestured toward the large map spread across the marble floor.
“First, fortify the defenses along the border. Seal all minor mana nodes. Demons follow corrupted mana flows.”
He continued without pause. “Hold the line. Do not advance recklessly. Buy time.”
“Hire mercenaries and adventurers to supplement the forces,” he added.
“Send envoys to the empires for aid, and to the Church of Light, the Church of Nature, Love, and War. If demons walk openly, higher powers are already involved.”
His gaze hardened. “Until we fully understand the situation, we will not rush like madmen.”
The court fell into deep silence.
A strategist spoke carefully. “Your Majesty… if the demon army advances before we uncover the source?”
King Albrecht did not hesitate.
“Try to delay them,” he said.
He looked around the hall, meeting each gaze in turn.
“The frontier will not fall because of fear,” he said quietly. “We have withstood several calamities and I am sure we can pass through this as long as we co-operate.”
A faint, cold smile touched his lips.
“If the demons think we are prey,” he said, “then let them come closer.”
“Only then will they realize,” he finished softly, “that they have to chew plates of iron if they think they can take on Frontier.”
He turned back toward the throne.
“Now,” he said firmly, “implement the national emergency.”
The court bowed as one.
…..
Six months passed, and the delivery dates of Ethan’s wives finally drew near.
By now, childbirth had become almost routine within the Blank household. With the help of magic and the support of the Church of Light, the process was nearly painless for the mothers. Healers, priests, and midwives worked together with practiced ease.
Even so, Ethan could not calm himself.
Every time, it was the same.
No matter how many children he already had, the moment of birth always made his heart tighten. A strange mix of nervousness and anticipation churned inside him. Maybe it was because he truly looked forward to meeting his children. Or maybe it was because of the system rewards tied to their birth.
Whatever the reason, Ethan could not sit still.
This time, his feelings were even stronger. Julia and Rina had both broken through to the Master rank not long ago, and a sharp flicker of excitement burned in his chest. Children born from such mothers were bound to be special.
By now, the Blank household had an entire building dedicated to childbirth and recovery. It stood slightly apart from the main manor, large and well-guarded, filled with healing formations, warm light crystals, and trained staff. It existed for one purpose only. The safety and comfort of his wives.
The efforts of the past months had finally reached their moment of fruition.
Soon, loud chimes echoed one after another inside Ethan’s mind.
[Detected birth of host’s child.]
[The child is born with A-rank Mage potential.]
[Reward: Gift ×1]
[Detected birth of host’s child.]
[The child is born with B-rank warrior potential.]
[Reward: Gift ×1]

[The child is born with C-rank warrior potential.]
[Reward: Gift ×1]
[Detected birth of host’s child.]
[The child is born with B-rank Mage potential and B-rank Magical Affinity.]
[Reward: Gift ×1]
Ethan froze in place.
His eyes widened as he stared at the floating notifications.
“All of them…” he muttered softly.
Every single child had decent potential. And one of them was even A-rank.
A slow breath escaped his lips.
This was no small matter.
He wondered what kind of gifts the system would grant this time, but his thoughts were interrupted by joyful cries from within the building.
“Wooah!”
“What a lovely child!”
“I can’t even find words to describe their beauty!”
“As expected, Lord Ethan’s bloodline is extraordinary!”
The nannies, midwives, and priests spoke one after another, their voices filled with awe and excitement.
Ethan laughed softly and pulled out several heavy sacks of gold coins. He handed them out generously, almost tossing them into waiting hands. The staff bowed repeatedly, their faces glowing with joy.
Then, without wasting time, Ethan stepped into the recovery room.
Inside, Claira, Rina, and Julia lay resting on soft beds, their faces pale but peaceful. Gentle healing light wrapped around them, slowly restoring their strength.
Julia looked the most exhausted. She had given birth to the A-rank child, and even with magic, the strain was obvious.
Ethan moved to her side first. He gently took her hand, channeling a bit of warm mana into her body. He adjusted her blanket, checked her breathing, and stayed close until her brow relaxed.
“You did well,” he said softly.
Then he moved to Claira and Rina, repeating the same care. He helped them drink warm tonic, wiped the sweat from their temples, and spoke to them in low, steady voices until their tension eased.
Behind him, Diana, Lia, and Sophia entered quietly.
“Five children…” Diana murmured in disbelief.
“Yes,” Lia replied with a smile. “Rina and Claira both gave birth to twins.”
Claira had given birth to twin boys. Both had white hair like snow and deep amethyst-colored eyes that already looked sharp and calm.
Rina had given birth to twin girls. They shared the same white hair, but their eyes were crimson, bright and lively.
Julia had given birth to a single son. He had black hair and deep ocean-blue eyes that felt strangely profound when they opened.
Sophia leaned closer, her eyes sparkling. She gently poked one of the babies’ cheeks.
“Oh? You’re looking at me like that?”
The baby blinked, then suddenly burst into a loud cry.
Sophia flinched. “Eh?!”
Another baby joined in, and soon the room filled with crying.
“See?” Lia laughed. “You scared them.”
Sophia crossed her arms. “That’s impossible. They’re just too sensitive.”
Ethan chuckled as he carefully lifted each child, holding them close. One by one, he whispered names, giving each child an identity and blessing.
When he was done, he stood back and smiled deeply.
“Ladies,” he said, half-joking, “it seems you’ll need to work hard again.”
Rina puffed her cheeks. “No, we can’t work harder. You should find more wives.”
Julia nodded seriously. “Yes. We need to find him more.”
Sophia straightened her back and puffed out her chest. “Leave this to me, sisters.”
Ethan rolled his eyes, amused.
“I don’t want to marry just anyone,” he said calmly. “Find me strong awakened women. If I’m marrying again, I want a proper fighting team.”
Sophia froze.
Her confident expression slowly collapsed.
“…That might be a problem,” she muttered.
Ethan laughed softly, the room filled with warmth, cries, and quiet happiness.
