Chapter 407: Against Two Legendary Realm
Amber was still trying to shake Damor off as she hurried forward, her only thought being Ray and Florence. Her movements were sharp and desperate, but suddenly she felt it. A heavy pressure washed over the battlefield, and her steps faltered. She turned her head, her eyes widening at the sudden change in the air.
Even Damor froze.
His whole body went stiff as he stared at the figure that had appeared out of nowhere. His breath caught in his throat, and for a moment his mind refused to work.
“How…” he muttered, his voice low and shaken.
“Teleportation…” Damor asked, unable to process what he had just witnessed.
His grip on his sword tightened, and his brows furrowed deeply. After a few seconds, he shook his head forcefully, trying to calm himself.
Appearing exactly when danger appeared.
It had to be an artifact.
That was the only explanation his mind could accept.
Amber came to the same conclusion. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied the white-haired man, her chest rising and falling as she steadied her breathing. No matter how powerful he felt, teleportation like that was rare without external help.
Then the white-haired man slowly turned his head toward her.
“You… protected them.”
His voice was calm, yet it carried an unquestionable authority. Amber looked at him for a moment, surprised by the sudden command. Their eyes met briefly, and something about his gaze made her instincts respond before her mind could argue.
She nodded.
The moment Damor heard that, his chest tightened painfully. It felt as if he had been completely ignored. His pride, already strained, cracked loudly inside him. His aura flared as rage surged through his veins, and he roared.
“You dare ignore me? You are acting cocky in front of a Legendary Realm expert. She is my prey.”
He raised his sword high, preparing to strike Amber from behind, his eyes blazing with fury. But before he could move forward, a voice sounded from behind him, cold and clear.
“I couldn’t hear it properly. Say that again.”
Damor’s entire body shook to its core. A chill shot straight through his spine, and his heart skipped a beat. Slowly, stiffly, he turned around.
Ethan was standing there.
He was not close, yet the pressure he radiated made it feel as if he was right in front of Damor’s face. His posture was relaxed, but his presence alone felt suffocating.
SWOOOSHN!
Damor reacted instantly, leaping backward with all his strength, creating distance between them. His instincts screamed danger, louder than they ever had before.
Amber did not waste this opportunity. She immediately turned and retreated, moving toward Ray and Florence without hesitation. Damor clicked his tongue in frustration, his eyes burning as he watched her escape.
Before he could act again, a powerful presence surged beside him.
“Damor… you can’t take him alone. We need to team up.”
Rayon’s figure shot up from the shattered ground and appeared beside him. Blood still stained his lips, and his breathing was rough, but his eyes were sharp and vicious. The two of them stood side by side, drawing their weapons as they faced Ethan.
Ethan stood there quietly.
His expression was blank, almost empty, as if nothing in front of him mattered. The battlefield around him was filled with destruction, broken land, and fallen bodies, yet he looked untouched by it all.
Seeing this, a wide grin slowly spread across Ethan’s face.
“Don’t mind my face. I may look calm, but I am anything but calm.”
His voice was steady, yet there was something dangerous beneath it.
In his entire life, there had been very few moments when Ethan had truly been pissed. He was not someone who lost control easily, and rage was not something he welcomed.
But this moment was different.
Among all the times in his life, this one ranked number one.
His son had been just a single step away from dying.
That thought alone made his blood boil.
His gaze shifted slightly as he looked around the battlefield, at the corpses scattered across the ground. Broken bodies, torn flesh, and blood soaked into the earth. His eyes locked onto one corpse in particular, the chest torn open, the heart missing.
He was not a saint. He did not interfere in everything.
But once he saw something, it became difficult for him to ignore it.
Ethan slowly opened his eyes wider, and a deadly killing intent radiated outward. The air trembled, and even the ground beneath their feet seemed to sink slightly under the pressure.
“The choice is still valid,” he said coldly. “Kill yourself or—”
“FUCKKKKK YOUUU!”
Rayon roared, his face twisted with rage and humiliation. He did not wait for Ethan to finish. His body surged forward, weapon raised, aura exploding as he launched himself straight at Ethan.
BOOOOOM!
A sharp collision rang out as the two forces clashed. The impact sent out a thunderous shockwave that shook the world around them. The ground cracked violently, dust and debris shooting into the air as the clash echoed across the battlefield, signaling the beginning of a terrifying confrontation.
Damor moved first.
The moment the shockwave settled, he stepped forward without hesitation and swung his sword with full force. The blade tore through the air with a heavy roar, carrying crushing pressure behind it. His stance was firm and grounded, both hands gripping the hilt tightly as he poured all his strength into the strike. The ground beneath his feet cracked as he advanced, stone splintering under the weight of his power, each step filled with raw force and wounded pride.
Rayon followed immediately.
Unlike Damor’s heavy and dominating approach, Rayon moved like a shadow slipping through the cracks. His rapier flickered in his hand as he lunged forward, his body leaning low and fast.
The thin blade pierced the air with sharp whistles, aiming straight for Ethan’s vital points. His movements were precise and vicious, every thrust calculated to kill with the least effort possible. His eyes were locked on Ethan’s chest and throat, searching for a single opening.
