Chapter 474:Valen Blanks
Detected the birth of history offspring.]
[The child is born with X rank Knight potential and hidden talent Berserker.]
[Reward: Special Gift *1]
X rank with hidden talent.Ethan didn’t know what surprise it would bring him later.
For a few moments after the strange tremor faded, the hallway outside the delivery room slowly returned to calm.
The guards who had drawn their weapons slowly lowered them again. Servants who had panicked only moments earlier began whispering quietly among themselves while exchanging nervous glances.
Ethan still stood in front of the door.
His arms were folded and his posture looked calm, but his eyes remained fixed on the wooden door of the delivery room.
Inside, faint voices of the midwives could still be heard moving around. The soft crying of the newborn baby had quieted slightly, but it still echoed faintly through the room.
Ethan quietly exhaled.
Even after fighting countless battles and facing powerful enemies, this moment made his heart feel strangely tense.
This was different.
Very different.
A few moments later the door slowly opened.
One of the midwives stepped out.
Her face looked tired, but there was clear happiness in her eyes. She wiped her hands on a cloth and bowed slightly when she saw Ethan.
“Congratulations, my lord,” she said warmly.
“Lady Amber is safe.”
“And the child is healthy.”
The words instantly relaxed the tension in Ethan’s body.
His shoulders lowered slightly and he gave a small nod.
“Can I see them?”
The midwife smiled and stepped aside.
“Of course.”
Ethan walked inside the room.
The air carried the faint scent of herbs and warm water. Several attendants were quietly cleaning the room while placing fresh cloth and bowls of water aside.
Amber was lying on the bed while looking exhausted but peaceful.
Her hair was slightly messy and strands had fallen across her face. Her cheeks looked pale from the effort of childbirth, but her eyes softened the moment she saw Ethan enter.
A gentle smile appeared on her lips.
In her arms she held a small bundle wrapped carefully in cloth.
Ethan walked closer slowly.
For a moment he simply looked at Amber.
“You did well,” he said softly.
Amber chuckled weakly and rolled her eyes slightly.
“You should try doing it yourself next time.”
Ethan gave a quiet laugh.
“Maybe I will pass on that.”
Amber shifted slightly on the bed and carefully raised the small bundle in her arms.
“Come here,” she said quietly.
Ethan stepped closer.
Amber gently uncovered part of the cloth.
Inside was a tiny baby with soft skin and small clenched fists. The child’s face looked calm as he slept peacefully.
Ethan stared at the baby silently. For a moment he did not say anything.
Amber then gently placed the baby into Ethan’s arms.
“Hold him properly,” she said softly.
Ethan carefully adjusted his hands and held the child. The small baby stirred slightly, his tiny fingers twitching, but he did not wake up.
Ethan looked down at him quietly.
A faint smile slowly appeared on his face.
“This little one caused the whole fortress to shake,” he said.
Amber laughed softly.
“That means he takes after you.”
Ethan looked at the baby again.
His mind briefly remembered the notification that had appeared earlier.
X rank knight potential.
Hidden talent Berserker.
A very unusual child had been born.
But at this moment Ethan did not think about talent or power.
He simply looked at the sleeping child.
After a moment Amber spoke again.
“So.”
“What should we name him?”
Ethan raised his head slightly.
He thought quietly for a few seconds.
Then he looked down at the baby again.
“Let’s call him…”
He paused briefly.
“Valen.”
Amber repeated the name softly.
“Valen.”
She smiled and nodded.
“I like it.”
Just then another voice sounded from the doorway.
“So this is my grandson?”
Duke Lancelot stepped inside while folding his arms.
His sudden appearance startled Ethan slightly, but he was already used to it by now.
Ethan still did not know exactly what realm his father-in-law had reached. But he knew one thing clearly.
Within a moment, this man could cross an entire kingdom if he wished.
If Ethan had to guess, Duke Lancelot was most likely either a Saint Knight or a Transcendental Knight.
“You are here?” Ethan asked.
“How can I not be here when my first grandson is born?” Lancelot replied calmly.
He walked closer with his usual serious expression. But his eyes clearly carried curiosity.
He stepped beside Ethan and looked down at the baby in his arms.
For several seconds he did not say anything.
Then he sighed quietly.
“Well.”
“At least he doesn’t look ugly.”
Amber immediately frowned.
“Father!”
Lancelot shrugged his shoulders.
“I’m just being honest.”
But after a moment he leaned slightly closer and examined the baby again.
A faint smile slowly appeared on his face.
“…He looks strong.”
Ethan chuckled quietly.
“Give him a few years.”
Lancelot snorted lightly.
“I hope he doesn’t inherit your habit of causing trouble.”
Amber rolled her eyes.
“That is definitely coming from your side of the family.”
For a moment the three of them simply looked at each other. Then the room slowly filled with quiet laughter.
……..
A few days passed after the birth of Valen, and during that time the fortress slowly returned to its usual rhythm as the excitement of the birth gradually settled into a warm and lively atmosphere that filled the estate.
Soldiers resumed their training routines in the courtyards, the sound of metal striking metal once again echoing through the fortress grounds as drills and sparring sessions continued from morning until evening. Officials returned to their daily duties and began managing the affairs of Blanks with their usual seriousness while servants moved busily through the halls carrying messages, reports, and supplies between different departments of the estate.
Amber spent most of her time resting in her chambers while attendants carefully looked after both her and the newborn child. The room that had once been quiet now carried a constant soft presence as nurses, maids, and healers took turns ensuring that both mother and child were comfortable and healthy.
Duke Lancelot remained in the Palace for several days after the birth, carefully observing everything with his usual calm and sharp gaze before finally leaving once he confirmed that Amber and the baby were completely safe.
Meanwhile Ethan finally found some quiet time for himself after many days of constant attention and responsibility.
