- Chapter 351 - 349: Scrambled Eggs and Split Earthworms!

“Let’s talk this over calmly. How can you say I’m toying with you? If you’re not satisfied, I can give you half of them right now.”
The Bodhisattva fell into silence once again, and after a long pause, replied: “10 days. In 10 days, I must see them, or we’ll just go down together!”
Hearing such words, how could he not understand? They just wanted to buy time.
Now that Su Mo has returned, no one can predict when he might attack the Western Heaven, so for the Buddhist Sect, time is incredibly precious.
10 days is the maximum he can offer; if it can’t be resolved, he’ll just have to kill them and make a run for it.
Anyway, if they can’t capture Map Control, they’ll die eventually. Rather than that, why not take someone down with them?
The Void was also silent for a long while, and eventually, after some discussion, the two agreed with the other’s terms.
They were just stalling for time; it’s impossible to stall for too long all at once.
It’s like you say you want to open a window, but the other person disagrees; if you say you’ll tear off the roof, they’ll surely agree to let you open a window.
As a great person once said, time is like a mop swabbing up water on the floor; the more you mop, the more there will be.
Who exactly said this, Tu Hongwu has already forgotten; if need be, he plans to attribute it to himself.
In the blink of an eye, 10 days passed. Originally, there was one Bodhisattva, two Arhats, and thirty thousand Buddhist Soldiers here. Now it had upgraded to seven Bodhisattvas, twelve Arhats, and a Future Buddha overseeing it all.
Such a lineup would be enough to flatten a top sect.
Yet they chose to wait here quietly.
Not allowing the other party any chance to escape.
Moreover, over the days, the space had been reinforced to a degree even the Daoist Master couldn’t break through. Even if the other party wanted to escape, it was impossible.
They even transmitted the outside scene into the Void, allowing those inside to see what the outside situation looked like.
To extinguish any thoughts of escape the other party might have.
In fact, they had considered other methods to force the people inside out before.
But each time, something bloody would appear in the Void, causing both immense panic and anxiety.
Recently, the things Old Long threw out could almost piece together half a person.
Although they realized these body parts didn’t hurt him at all, meaning Tu Hongwu hadn’t been harmed.
Yet they dared not gamble.
They could be 100% sure the dragon wouldn’t dare to harm Tu Hongwu.
But they couldn’t be 100% sure Tu Hongwu wouldn’t harm himself.
After all, he was someone who faked his own death to deceive his apprentice—a ruthless person who, if he suddenly couldn’t think straight, might genuinely kill himself, and everything living here would perish!
The world in flames, all things buried together!
Others merely talk; Su Mo is really capable of acting on it.
Not only is he capable, but he’s already done it once!
Of course, it depends on the situation. Right now, they hold a sliver of hope, but if it comes to it, letting the whole Western Heaven perish with them isn’t out of the question.
“The 10 days are up. It’s time to hand them over!”
The Future Buddha’s voice resounded like a great bell.
Merely his voice made the entire space tremble slightly.
Seeing the situation outside and the stance of the Buddhist Sect, Tu Hongwu knew that all his thoughts had been seen through by the other party.
Not only wouldn’t they allow him to delay any longer, but they also wouldn’t let them have any chance of escape.
Old Long’s lips started quivering, and a blood-colored coffin slowly floated out from Old Long’s clothes, in the blink of an eye transforming to the size of a normal coffin.
The coffin lid opened slowly, and Tu Hongwu, clad in a blood-red robe, stepped out and adjusted his robe.
With a wave of his hand, the space before him turned into a mirror. He meticulously adjusted his hair and clothes, attempting to retrieve a pack of cigarettes from his System Space, only to find that over the past 20 years, he had already smoked them all.
The cigarette he had planned to save for himself had been lit a while ago in memory of Bai Yuanhao.
“You, you, you how…”
Tu Hongwu gently waved his hand, signaling him to say nothing.
Then, looking up at the sky, he spoke slowly, “You just want to capture me and negotiate with my apprentice, right? Fine, I’m here now, say what you need to say.”
At Tu Hongwu’s words, silence reigned once more; no Bodhisattva or Arhat in the sky dared speak.
The Maitreya Buddha, large and slightly obese, smiled amiably: “Donor, why not come out for a chat.”
“Say what you have here. Are you afraid I’ll run? Although I’m not free here, at least I can end my life anytime. Out there, it’s uncertain.”
“Donor, you jest. We Buddhists hold compassion in our hearts and do not seek to kill; converting beings is our duty. How could we harm your life?
If you are worried about them, I can have everyone withdraw and discuss with you alone, how about it?”
Looking at their smiling faces and their hypocritical words, even Map Control, who prided himself on being thick-skinned, had to admit that if you wanted to talk about being thick-skinned, it had to be them.
Damn it, what do you mean I’m worried about them? The one I’m most uneasy about is you!
“I won’t say much. Before we talk, I don’t want you to accidentally harm others. First, send this Old Long out…”
Before Tu Hongwu finished, Maitreya Buddha smiled flower-like and shook his head. This was what you call a smile without speaking.
“Don’t be quick to refuse. I haven’t finished. Today, if you send Old Long out and guarantee his life,
even if I die here today, I can assure you my apprentice won’t kill you when he arrives.
Otherwise, everyone here dies—eggs shattered, earthworms split in two, and dust mites on clothes will be sun-dried for three days!”
Maitreya Buddha’s smile stiffened, his head-shaking stopped, and he nodded gently: “Donor Tu’s words are reasonable. Our grievances shouldn’t involve others. Donor Long, please!”
With that, Maitreya Buddha gestured in a welcoming manner, appearing truly amiable.
Old Long turned to Tu Hongwu, wanting to say something, but Tu Hongwu shook his head: “This matter is beyond your handling now. Remember, stay as far away as you can, and if I survive, I’ll find you.”
