Chapter 1020: Kent Vs The Hell Flames (2) [End of Volume V]
[Fourth Opponent – Primordial Flame of Corruption – Hell Lord: Belphor, the Corruptor]
“Welcome to my domain, human,” Belphor said, his expression smug.
Kent didn’t say anything, though his expression said he wasn’t having a good time. He could sense his health rapidly depleting from the moment he entered the domain of corruption.
“This is my domain, the domain of the Primordial Flame of Corruption. In here, all your healing abilities are sealed, so you can only do your best to kill me before you run out of health.
However, your dying isn’t too bad. With your strength, good looks, and even killing three hell flames, I will be sure to corrupt your body and make you my hell general of corruption.
You will play a big role in my conquest when I break free from this place.”
Kent could tell the bastard had no plans on fighting him, so he stood 400 meters away, ready to make a run for it.
’A wise move if you want to wait for your opponent to die.’ Kent had to give it to the Primordial Flame of Corruption; he was a good schemer.
’Too bad you met me.’ Yet again, Kent had the best medicine for this disease.
“I have to say, your planning and plotting are spot on. You really have a higher chance of killing me. However, that was if you had met me before I attained the Nirvana body….” A smirk appeared on Kent’s lips.
He extended his hand, and a black flame appeared.
“Or before I got the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.”
The moment the Nirvana flame appeared, the domain of corruption trembled. In an instant, all corruption in the domain started to be devoured by the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
“Is-is that a Nirvana flame?” Belphor’s body was trembling to the point that if he could sweat, he would be bathed in it by now.
Kent smiled. “Yes. The Umbral Flame of Oblivion. Are you scared?”
Belphor looked at the black flame that was rapidly devouring the domain and could only shudder in sheer terror.
“Please stop, I surrender,” Belphor said, dropping to his knees. “If you don’t stop, I will cease to exist.”
“Oh… Aren’t you a Primordial Flame? Aren’t you from the Universe, just like a Nirvana flame?”
“Yes. I am a Primordial Flame. However, I am only a High-grade Primordial Flame, not a True Primordial.” Belphor was almost in tears, seeing that Kent had no plans of putting away the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
“What is the difference? This is also just a spark of the true Nirvana flame. So aren’t you all the same? I mean, you even have a seed unlike this one.”
“Yes. But a Nirvana Flame is a True Flame regardless of the nature they are in. As for me, I am not even close to becoming a True Primordial Flame yet. Please, let me live, and I swear to serve you with everything I have.”
Kent smiled, and then he put away the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
“There you go.”
Belphor sighed.
“Thank you.” He had come this close to dying, so he could only thank his savior.
If only he knew that things could have been much easier if Kent had used the Verdant Flame of Renewal to merely heal himself or the Radiant Flame of Purity to cleanse the corruption affecting him.
However, he didn’t want to do that simply because of something he wanted Belphor to do for him.
It was never in his plans to kill poor Belphor. Kent was not that wicked. The Primordial Flame of Corruption was powerful, and as someone going to hell, he needed something that powerful to aid him.
So he never planned on killing him in the first place.
Though he knew with a flame that had gained sentience, fear was the only way to make them submit to him.
So he unleashed the Umbral Flame of Oblivion, which, at the moment, looking at the expression on Belphor’s face, he knew he had made his stance clear.
“Can you contact the other Hell Flames?” Kent asked, and Belphor nodded.
“Good. Tell them what happened and advise them not to resist.”
Belphor nodded and closed his eyes.
In the next five minutes, Kent subdued the other three flames named the Primordial Flame of Oblivion, the Primordial Soulflame of Damnation, and the Primordial Flame of Tyranny.
They surrendered, knowing true death awaited them if they resisted. Not even a sliver of their flame seeds would have remained.
—
Gaap held a shocked expression.
“He-he has a Nirvana flame. Just what kind of monster did I allow into my tower?” His expression showed both shock and fear.
Nirvana Flames, like Belphor said, are True Flames regardless of which form they are in. Therefore, it means Nirvana Flames don’t undergo a growth phase like Primordial Flames.
So naturally, Belphor, who was a mere High-Grade Primordial Flame, was no match for the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
However, Gaap’s shock and fear were from the fact that Kent was able to handle the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
Not even gods could handle a Nirvana flame like that. So for a mere mortal to have a handle on it that intimately, he was both in shock, and the fear was also evident.
“Is this even real?” he said, but looking at the expression on the White-bearded Man’s face, he could tell he wasn’t the only one in shock.
“I’ve underestimated you, Sage. You are much more dangerous than I gave you credit for,” he said, his hand brushing through his beard.
“However, walking the hell road is different from defeating a Hell Flame. After all, the laws won’t allow you to use a Nirvana flame there…
It will be a trip of pure dedication and no interference from any Cosmic being.”
He smiles.
Pill King Sark was mistaken about one thing… Primordial Flames are not Cosmic Flames; it’s rather Nirvana Flames that can be regarded as Cosmic Flames.
A Primordial Flame becomes a Cosmic Flame once it becomes a True Primordial Flame. Kent would be able to use his other flames aside from the Nirvana Flames in hell.
Then again, hell had no idea the kind of monster coming through.

(A/N: End of Volume V. It was a wild ride that I have to say, was a little over the top. Of course, we swerved off a bit, not ending as it was intended to go. However, it was a wild ride.
Now, we can only wait for what is coming.
Kent now has two major things he wanted to accomplish before going back.
One is to form a Flame Core. The second is to form the Blood Core Gate.
Of course, we have the minor ones, such as cultivating the Primal Body Tempering Art to unlock more of his bloodline powers and forming the Blood Life and Death Seals.
But hey, he is going to hell, so I believe anything can happen.
Of course, some of you are worried he wouldn’t have anything to do when he finally ascends to a high world.
Trust me, there is plenty waiting for him. After all, this is the Universe where there is a lot to do. So fear not, the Primordial Chaos Dragon hasn’t begun his conquest yet.
