Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1140: Split Heart

Chapter 1140: Split Heart
Kent and his mom spent nearly three hours with Elaine’s parents before they left. The dinner was exactly as Kent expected it—delicious in every way.
“We will come back again,” Lady Enyo said, waving goodbye as she and Kent left.
She may have been jealous of Elaine’s mom’s cooking being picked over hers. However, now that she had the privilege to taste it, she couldn’t help but finally understand why Kent was keen on her cooking as usual.
After they left, Kent took her to Nature City, where the Elves were still settling in. There were millions of them, so it was only right to take some time to fully settle in.
“I will stay here for a while and make sure everyone has settled in, then I will enter seclusion to handle a few things.
Once I come out, I will then come and spend time with my daughter-in-law,” Lady Enyo said, using her hand to brush a strand of hair from Kent’s face.
“Okay, Mom. I also need to enter seclusion and attend to some matters. It will be a while before we meet again. However, now that I know you are here, I won’t have to worry about anything.”
Lady Enyo nodded and went to join Vexthra and the rest of the ladies.
After she left, Priestess Runa and Lyna approached him.
“Are you leaving?” Lyna asked, seeing that Kent was just about to leave, before she approached him.
“Something like that. But I have time for you ladies.”
Lyna took a scroll from her space ring and handed it to Kent. She had given it to Runa; however, seeing that she would stay with them for a while, she handed it back to her to give it to Kent.
“Lord Agni said I should give this to you.”
Kent received the scroll, but he didn’t open it right away. He first asked about Agni, “How is the Flame Lord?”
Lyna’s expression turned dull. “He is on the run again. I don’t know where he went, but he returned all of a sudden and handed me this scroll before leaving in haste.
He only told me that when I meet you, or in case I happen to meet you one day, I should tell you to never visit the Flame Demon Temple.”
“Wait, isn’t he one of the fourteen Flame Lords?”
“He is. However, I believe they are the ones after him.”
After Agni handed the first form of the [Finger of Destruction] technique to Kent back inside the flame tower, they had some interesting conversations.
It was through their conversation that Kent found out Agni was the 14th member to join the Flame Demon Tower – beings who have dedicated their time and life to studying the Flame Art.
Becoming a member, even if only a member under a flame lord, is an honour demi-gods will kill for.
According to him, he reached this stage after forming four flame cores.
He even told Kent to come there when he reached the Immortal World, citing that if he wanted to walk the true path of the flame, visiting the Flame Demon Tower was the path forward.
Of course, Kent was more than willing to visit there one of these days. However, it now appears that he will be visiting for a different reason. Agni helped him, and now, it looks like he needs his help.
“Thank you, Lyna.” Kent put away the scroll. “If you need anything, ask Vexthra or the three troublemakers over there.”
Kent then turned to Gaia, who was looking at him with a smile while hugging his mom’s hand. This sight made him smirk.
“When you are done messing around, take Lyna, Adina, and Priestess Runa to the system store to pick some treasures and techniques.”
“You don’t have enough tower points for that, big brother.”
Kent smirked. “Put a negative there. I will pay later.”
“If you say so. In any case, don’t blame me for putting you in debt. Of course, if you think you can scam me and get away with it, then think a million times.”
“Are you threatening me?” Kent teleported, and before Gaia could react, she was hanging upside down.
“Hey, put me down.”
“Ouch.”
“Put me down.”
“Ouch.”
“Grandma, save me!”
Finally, Kent stopped spanking Gaia’s tiny butt and set her down. “Next time, don’t hide behind my mom and try to play pranks on me. I know you have taken more than is required to build the city.”
“Use the tower points you are hoarding to pay for the stuff they will be buying.”
“You…” Gaia pouted, but when Lady Enyo brushed her head, she puffed her cheeks and made a funny face, telling Kent he was doomed.
“Tch,” Kent just smirked and left. He needed to attend to some important matters, so messing with Gaia could wait.
Soon, he appeared in the Sword Tower and sat on the Sword Bridge, which had been transformed after the requirements to become a Sword Saint changed when he traveled to the past.
Initially, he was meant to challenge all 13 levels; however, that requirement was scrapped.
Now, instead of facing clones of himself, he would be facing Sword Kings and Emperors who walked the sword path and were now dead or had ascended to godhood.
He wasn’t about to take on that trial yet, so he sat at the edge and took a deep sigh.
“Okay, Tower, tell me what is wrong with my mom’s heart.” One of the many things Kent wanted to figure out was the issue with his mom’s heart.
According to her, when she died and escaped to Planet Mekyn with Paragon’s help, her heart started to give out sometimes when she was stressed or extremely tired.
Whenever this happened, she would have to go into seclusion for years and suffer alone. So Kent asked the Tower to examine her and provide a solution.
⟦I have scanned and examined Lady Enyo’s condition and discovered she has something called Split Heart. This is due to her merging with her other half’s soul. Her hearts hadn’t fully merged yet⟧
“Strange, but how come her soul merged, but the heart couldn’t? Also, shouldn’t it merely be her soul merging?”
From what Kent learned about his mom, she had two souls—half souls—that lived in separate bodies. Now, she had merged with her other half, making her whole.
This process said nothing about whether or not her heart should merge. In a way, it was only her soul that should have merged. So, how then was her heart now having an issue?
⟦I am not sure why, but I believe whoever saved her had literally saved her from the jaws of death. They might have even gone against the Dao of Death, saving her.
And since this body isn’t her original immortal body, there may be some struggle between her immortal body and this mortal body.⟧
“I see. That does make some sense. In any case, do you happen to have a cure for it?”
⟦I do. She just needs to consume a drop of Spirit Ascension Dew.⟧
“Wonderful. How much does it cost?” Kent asked, already prepared to owe more Tower Points. However, if it were for sale outside the tower store, he had more than enough money.
Unfortunately, neither of the two methods he envisioned was an option.
⟦The master would have to travel to an Immortal World to get it. The Spirit Ascension Dew can only be found in an Immortal World, unfortunately.⟧
“Just great,” Kent sighed, feeling another headache coming. This one, however, he knew no amount of preparation would ever prepare him to face all threats easily like he did with the High Worlds.
’No need, I will find a way. For now, I need to focus on what I can solve without much difficulty.’
