Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1162: Darkness

Chapter 1162: Darkness
Obviously, the last thing Kent expected to hear was who his original father was.
Kent is already aware that he was born from the same energy that made the Universe. He is aware that he is a True Primordial just like the six who had lived before him.
He is even aware that, aside from his life as the Chaos Dragon, he has lived other lives, of which one was Lord Genesis, the greatest swordsman to have ever lived, and the other was the Faceless Assassin, the most dangerous assassin known to the universe.
He had yet to learn more about his other lives, but he was confident they were exceptional people as well.
He knew this much because he had already started recalling the memories of the lives he had lived.
However, he never for one second questioned where his lineage came from.
He most certainly didn’t question how he came into being as the Chaos Dragon. Of course, Leviathan told him he was born from an egg, but he didn’t believe him.
But now, Bhaalzhar had hinted at what could be the biggest reveal in his life.
“This is too confusing,” Kent said, feeling a slight headache
“Just who are the True Primordials? What was your purpose, and how do I fit into all of this?”
Bhaalzhar smiled and snapped his fingers, manifesting seven balls.
“I have already told you that the true overlords of the universes were the True Primordials… well, we still are the overlords, considering our influence still lives.”
“What is that supposed to mean to me? Aren’t you guys already dead?”
“Technically, we are not dead. However, in terms of mundane understanding, we are indeed dead. And before you ask, know that I will not reveal anything, not when that will be putting your life in danger.”
Kent didn’t say anything.
Bhaalzhar took a deep breath and added, “Though you must know that whatever we started, you will be the one to finish it.”
Some things, like they say, are better left unsaid. However, Kent knew he had to learn about his lineage or at least know something.
Thankfully, he seems to have grasped something.
This time, Kent seemed to have thought of something, and so he shifted slightly and asked in a somewhat skeptical tone.
“Is the Celestial stage the strongest in the Universe?”
Speaking in coded language can sometimes come in handy when discussing moments that directly go against Karma and fate.
Kent knew some things were better said in code, so he asked a question that, when answered, would allow him to piece things together.
“I created the Claw Art when I reached the Demigod stage. It helped me kill gods, but my ambition goes beyond that.
I want to kill far stronger than that, so for the better part of my Godhood and Celestialhood, I focused on the technique, adding more forms to it. It has seven forms, and killing a Celestial needs at most the fourth form. Anything beyond that, and one would call you a madman.”
Kent nodded, getting his answer.
However, now that he knew Celestials aren’t the peak, the question remains: why are there no beings stronger than Celestials in the universe now?
Sure, the Celestials are powerhouses.
They are beings who control the laws. They can shape reality to their liking, reverse time to prevent casualties, and even alter how the universe is perceived. They are terrifying beings.
So the idea that there are beings far stronger than that is just absurd. Kent knew for a fact that the Celestial stage is the peak of this universe.
So if that is the case, then where are they if there are people like that? How long have they been around? Where were they when the Universe nearly came to an end during the Primordial Era?
Kent knew Bhaalzhar was not going to answer him, but asking himself these questions made him get them out of his mind.
He also knows one day he will find answers to his question. Bhaalzhar merely dumped a big plot on him and decided not to answer any questions.
“Tell me about my father then.”
In the end, asking about someone else makes sense. He knew Bhaalzhar exaggerated when he said his father was darkness.
“I cannot speak his name, for he will be the one to say it. Even our True Primordial names carry weight.”
Kent nodded.
He is already aware of this. Even his own name holds some power that his followers can use to command others with his permission. Lyna used it when she came and handed the scroll to Runa, the High Priestess.
“However, I can tell you that Darkness was the most elusive of us all. Among the six of us, he is the hardest to kill.
It wasn’t because he had the most overpowered healing ability. He had none; however, he had the darkness, the shadows. He walked between the shadow and darkness, making him someone who could slip away anytime he wanted.
We have lived for a very long time, but not once has an enemy ever caught us him a trap. Back then, we called him a coward; however, we later found out that he is the opposite.
Killing him is hard. However, you also wouldn’t see him coming. Every shadow can be him; every darkness can manifest into a dangerous assassin.
So when the time came for you to be born, we handed your life crystal to him, for in his hands, we were assured he would accomplish the mission.”
Bhaalzhar smiled. “And now that you are here, it seems we were right to give him your life crystal.”
“Then he was more like a guardian, seeing that he only guarded my life crystal.” Kent smiles, knowing his thinking is probably shallow.
Considering he wasn’t born the normal way, there is no telling who and what can be called his father or mother. So perhaps he had to accept whatever he got.
“Guardian, you say, that is true. However, to make sure you are born, one of us was to activate the creation process by ejecting our core essence into your life crystal. Darkness was the one who did that.”
“I see. I guess I will be glad to meet him one of these days, then,” he smiled, feeling somewhat happy.
“Oh, you will. After all, you already have one of his techniques,” Bhaalzhar said, causing Kent to raise his brow. A second later, however, he understood what he meant.
“The Faceless Art.”
Bhaalzhar smiled. “Indeed. The Faceless Art was one of his finest creations.”
Kent couldn’t help but be impressed that his old man had created a technique that once made him the most dangerous assassin. Although he didn’t know him, he felt proud to learn this important detail.
“In fact, among the eighteen Primordial Techniques ever created, the Faceless Art is among the top five. What you have now is merely the first form.
There are still two more forms out there, and let me tell you, learning all three forms of the Faceless Art is going to make you a very dangerous person.”
Bhaalzhar gave Kent a dubious smile and added, “Your mission is more important than us, so you must take everything there is to have.”
Kent sighed and asked, “And what are those things?”
