Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1374 Beautiful Swordsmanship

Chapter 1374 Beautiful Swordsmanship
The Ten-Star Sword God only wanted Jest to last for five minutes. However, the moment he activated the Irregular pattern, everything changed.
In that moment, Jest went from a sword King to a sword prodigy that only appears once in an era. His image in his mind had shot up several degrees.
“Kid, where did you learn that?” the Ten-Star Sword God asked, his expression filled with shock. He may be the remnant soul of a sword god, but what he was seeing was just out of this world.
“I happen to know a lot about sword movement. The rest was just me making sure every movement of a sword—every last pattern—is memorized, then flipped and mixed up in a complex sequence.
Basically, I picked what you know and turned it upside down. But aside from doing that, I went ahead to twist it into a form that even if you see it, you wouldn’t know it.”
Be it the Ten-Star Sword God or the others watching the battle, hearing what Jest had accomplished, they knew it wasn’t something someone of his standing should know.
The kind of thinking that goes into mastering those sword moves is just not something someone at his level can do. Many sword legends came before him, but none can say they have mastered all sword moves.
So the idea that Jest knows all sword moves is just not possible.
But the fact that he is going strong without missing even a single sword from the Ten-Star Sword God shows there is more to him than they all seem to see in him.
Three of the Ten-Star Sword God’s blades slashed in from the left in a blinding arc. Jest twisted his body at an impossible angle, his sword meeting the lead blade in a collision that sent sparks cascading like fireworks.
“Awesome,” many disciples muttered in unison.
At the same moment, four broken swords shot upward from the ground beneath him, intercepting the other two attackers and forcing them to veer off course.
The Ten-Star Sword God let out a low chuckle. “Not bad. You indeed have some potential, kid, but can you really win against a sword Emperor of my caliber?”
He clapped his hands once.
The ten swords suddenly froze in midair, then realigned into the shape of a massive, radiant sword formation—a perfect ten-pointed star that pulsed with blinding golden light. His sword intent was being harnessed to the maximum.
The pressure increased tenfold; even the air itself seemed to solidify around Jest.
Jest gritted his teeth.
Blood began to trickle from the corner of his mouth as the oppressive sword bore into his body. The load bearing down on him was just too much for him to remain standing, but he remained standing.
His eyes burned brighter, determination oozing from them. He raised his free hand, palm outward, and whispered, “Shatter.”
He clenched his fist.
Every single broken sword in the realm answered at once.
They detonated outward in a deafening explosion, sending thousands of fragments flying.
The fragments turned into deadly shrapnel, hurtling toward the Ten-Star Sword God from every conceivable direction.
The golden star formation flickered under the onslaught; several of its points cracked and dimmed as the broken blades did what they were commanded to do.
The Ten-Star Sword God narrowed his eyes.
On the first floor, Adrian, whose sword realm Jest had copied, also narrowed his eyes. “I didn’t know you could do that.”
Even he, the owner, didn’t know he could further break his broken swords into fragments to land an attack like that. If he had known, perhaps he would have used it against Jest.
“What a monster,” he smiled and continued to watch.
Inside the cave, the green-haired lady also kept a close eye on the battle, just like every last disciple and elder who was watching with an unblinking expression.
“Just who are you?” she muttered, her expression turning a bit dark. She suspected Jest had somehow managed to learn her sword realm after he clashed with one of her Nine Emotions Sword Realms, Seraphina.
Initially, it was merely a suspicion, but after seeing what Jest had done with Adrian’s sword realm, she was inclined to believe he had copied it.
Naturally, if he had indeed copied it, then he must die, for she could not have someone running with a loophole into her sword realm.
However, now that she was seeing what Jest was capable of, she couldn’t help but see him as an asset. This put her in a complicated situation, but the more she saw him fight the Ten-Star Sword God, the more her interest in him grew.
After four minutes, the Ten-Star Sword God finally saw that he would lose the battle. But even with this discovery, he didn’t seem to care about it.
“It would be best if you use your sword realm,” Jest said with a smug smile. Blood trickled down the corner of his mouth. The pressure he was under was just too much for him to handle.
This was a battle between swordsmen, so all other treasures and skills he knew were useless. However, even though they could work and give him an edge, after four minutes of battling the Ten-Star Sword God, he realised he was no match for him.
Surviving 5 minutes is fine, but he cannot defeat him. But he also didn’t want to lose without seeing his sword realm.
“Are you sure you want to see it?” the Ten-Star Sword God asked, a smile playing on his handsome demon face.
“But of course. You have 30 seconds, which means it is my win. But I cannot head to the fifth level without seeing your sword realm.”
“The moment I activate my sword realm, you will lose, so let’s wait out the thirty seconds so you can pass. You have already proven yourself to me and everyone.”
Jest had no objections, and frankly, nobody who watched the four minutes of beautiful swordsmanship would have any objections. Jest had proven himself, and all could see that.
So, allowing him to pass was just something none of them minded. They all thought he wouldn’t even be able to pass the first level. However, he was now on the fourth level, and that was just something none of them saw coming.
“There is something I want to know,” the Ten-Star Sword God said. Then he asked, “When you are there, there are 1.6 million sword moves out there. Were you joking, or is that the truth?”
“It is the truth. Before coming here, I had the privilege to meet someone whose understanding of the sword is just beyond any man’s or god’s understanding.
He confirmed that there are indeed 1.6 million moves, and I have mastered all of them. My mission is to rise to the peak and pave the way for all who have been stuck at the last stage.”
The Ten-Star Sword God narrowed his eyes and asked with a small smile, “You want to become a Sword Celestial?”
“That is my main goal, yes.”
“Does that mean you are walking your own path?” This question, however, drew everyone’s attention, for they all wanted to know just what the hell was going on with Jest.
No sword king should be that monstrous.
