Chapter 1408 Value Of True Immortals

After parting ways with Risana, the ladies returned to the Legion Tower to address the issue with the twenty-one True Immortals.

For now, in the harem and legion, Vexthra knew Yi Lai could gain some dragon candidates from it. She is a necromancer who can only have dragon undead. She herself had become a dragon after her rebirth.

When she awakened this class and bloodline, she came with only one dragon undead. Later, she received another one when she sent the Hand into the dragon trial.

Back then, when they fought the Forsaken Race, they captured the Hand who was responsible for opening the Forsaken Door.

However, instead of killing her, she chose to send her into that trial where, if she failed to pass, she would be in pain for all eternity.

Thankfully, she passed and returned as a flame dragon. The best part: she returned as a Heavenly Ascension-stage cultivator with many powerful abilities.

Yi Lai may have only two dragon undead under her command, but she is terrifying. They are all top-quality undead.

So she can benefit from these Dark Elves by sending a few into the dragon trial.

The description said that by sacrificing something of equal value, she can summon a Death Agent.

Initially, she could only summon one, but after she consumed the Innate Talent Booster Pill, that number shot up to three.

This means that if she were to sacrifice three True Immortals, she would receive three Death Agents. That is a good trade in her eyes, so the twenty-one True Immortals can be shared among them.

“I will be needing just five of them,” Veera said with a thoughtful expression, then she added, “While having all of them would be great, I don’t have enough soul strength to handle more than five True Immortal undead. So five is just fine.”

“Same here. I also need just five. The dragon trial at the moment can only accept five candidates. I would get more quota when I reach the Empyrean Stage,” Yi Lai also said with a gentle smile.

“Well then. I will be taking three, bringing the total to thirteen,” Elaine said. “This means we will have eight more.” She turned to Uncle Drew. “Don’t you need some?”

“That won’t be necessary. All fourteen Night Agents only need Hell spirits or underworld souls to grow. I have loads of those, so we can keep the remaining eight for when you three need some more later.”

Everyone nodded.

Adding thirteen True Immortals to their mix is worth more than having twenty-one slave True Immortals. Elaine would be getting three top-quality Death Agents, while Yi Lai, if they pass the dragon trial, would come out even more terrifying.

As for Veera, she had already drawn the schematic for the kind of undead she planned on creating. This means they are going to get more from what they would have had if they had gone ahead and enslaved the twenty-one True Immortals.

Because Kent hates that, they also have slavery. So the undead would be okay.

“I guess I will need one of them,” Sylara said, her red eyes shining with buried hunger. “Well, I will be needing his blood essence to draw my first Blood Tattoo.”

Vexthra nodded and turned to the four ladies. “You can select the ones you want.”

Without having a say in anything, fourteen True Immortals were selected. Three went to Elaine, five each to Yi Lai and Veera, while Sylara took one.

She merely wanted the blood essence, so Avotha killed him by burning his body, leaving only the blood essence. The body became useless, with no blood essence left, so burning it was the best option.

After they were selected, the remaining seven were sent away.

With Vexthra’s assistance, Elaine took the three True Immortals to her Life and Death Space. She would need a couple of weeks to summon all three Death

Agents.

Thankfully, her sisters are there to escort her in her endeavors.

As for Veera, Avotha killed the five True Immortals she selected. Taking their energetic bodies, she vanished into her Necro Space, where she started working on creating five legendary undead.

Yi Lai, on the other hand, opened five portals and sent the five True Immortals into each. Unlike Veera and Elaine, who are guaranteed to receive powerful subordinates, she can’t have the same guarantee.

That is because unless the five True Immortals pass their individual dragon trials, none will be returning as dragon undead. So she had no idea what would

be happening at the end of the day.

She could only wait and watch what walked out of the five portals.

Uncle Drew and the rest of the legion chose to wait with her. If a portal closes,

it means the one taking the trial had failed, and so their suffering will be

eternal.

From what she learned when the Hand had her trial, when she entered that realm, she was transported to a Dragon Tower where her potential was

measured.

She had a God-tier talent, so she entered the Dragon God Trial, which required

her to battle three dragons. The first one was at the Peak Core Formation stage. The second was at the Peak Spirit Ascension stage, while the third was at the

Peak Spirit King stage.

She barely managed to win.

However, from what she said, if she had awakened a Dragon Supreme talent,

perhaps she would have failed. So while her future ends at the God stage, having someone like her by her side is all Yi Lai could ask for.

She would need Gods, Supremes, and even Celestials for what is coming, so

having a God is not too bad. Now, it is her hope that the five True Immortals would return stronger than ever.
