Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1416 Pill Monarch

Chapter 1416 Pill Monarch
Kent had finally become a Pill Monarch, where he would be required to master the concoction of Tier 13 and 14 pills.
This stage is the final barrier that separates mundane pills from Divine pills.
Starting from Tier 15, the Pill Dao would judge every pill made and determine if its quality is worthy to be considered a pill. So, to all alchemists, their chance to call themselves that name ends at Tier 14.
Many see the next path as risky and dangerous. Judging a pill comes with a tribulation, so even as an alchemist, one is required to have the means to withstand it.
It is also the stage where one determines a secondary path to walk so they can handle the tribulations.
Kent had no problem with that. However, he had only become a Pill Monarch, so he had to go through the process again.
He had received the Pill Monarch knowledge as usual.
The enlightenment had opened his mind and eyes to quite a lot. Aside from creating a unique method for achieving perfect extraction, the enlightenment had given him a path to tread that would one day enable him to make this method a technique worthy of recognition.
For now, it was merely him jumping from one technique to another, making sure that with every change, a new method was added.
It may sound like he had created a new technique. However, the truth is, he had only copied what already existed and made it into something worth what he was after.
He would have to make it his own later, the moment he finds a way to ensure the method was not merely him jumping from one technique to the next, but actually one that automatically adapts to every change.
It may sound simple. However, when put into focus, there is more to it than a normal person could see. Kent spent a whole month comprehending the path, and now that he was out, he would handle that.
Aside from that, the Pill Dao gave him a unique gift that allowed him to view the Pill Dao Mission Board, which only a few were allowed to see.
It turns out all the Daos in existence have missions for those they deem worthy. Many years ago, a mission was given to Pill Celestial Kevin Sage, a mission that opened the first path to what many consider the next stage of alchemy.
A stage above the Celestial stage.
This time, he was allowed access. However, before he could view such a mission board, he had to reach the Pill Legend stage.
He was still too weak to see something like that. However, even if he could view it now, having no idea what he had to do was better than knowing and having no means to accomplish it.
However, away from the progress he had made, when he opened his eyes, memories of his life as Kevin Sage flooded his mind.
It was memories of his childhood up to the point he started walking the path of alchemy.
It turned out he was born as a half-elf. His mother was an Elf, and his father was a human. Naturally, he was rejected by his mother’s side, so he lived with his father.
His father, however, was a con artist. He was someone who had mastered the craft of using his cleverness to deceive even a king.
It can be said that his father was a very brilliant person, and Kevin liked him more than anything. Getting rejected by his mother swayed his emotions, making him see his father as his hero.
And thanks to genetics, he also took after his father’s cleverness. Long before he reached the age to start cultivating, he and his father had run many cons, some even involving bandits and demons.
His greatest grift was when he and his father, in a bid to pay back the Elves for rejecting him, decided to steal a precious artifact from the Mother Tree.
They succeeded, but after that day, everything changed.
The Elves cast a curse on the thief, and it affected his father. It took just a few days for his father to die, despite his trying his best to cure him.
He even asked for help from the Elves after he returned the stolen item, but they did not bat an eye. So he watched his father die, and that was when he swore to avenge him.
This meant he had to become a cultivator, and a powerful one. And to achieve that, it meant he had to join a sect.
However, as the son of an infamous con artist, no sect was willing to accept him. Nobody wanted to associate themselves with him, not when the youngest heir of the Elves made it his mission to destroy him.
For a couple of years, he had no help and faced many roadblocks, until one day he met an unlikely master who was the reason he began walking the path of
alchemy.
This man was once praised as a genius. However, because of a single mistake, the entire world became his enemy. He was cast out and riddled with many bad
names.
However, when he met Kevin, the look of ridicule that many had given him wasn’t seen in Kevin’s eyes. This made him like his character instantly.
So he took him in after learning of his worries and decided to pass down his knowledge. It wasn’t the path Kevin wanted, but he knew it was a start.
In just a few months, Kevin learned all the basics and even managed to finally step onto the path of alchemy. The memory ended at the part where he concocted his first pill, which, to his shock and his master’s, came out as a 95% pure pill.
It was at that moment that he discovered he was born to become an alchemist. But while he was thinking that way, his master also realized his chance for a comeback had arrived.
Kevin was the key to everything, and so he made him a proposal. If Kevin could become a Pill Saint in two years, he would give him all he had acquired over the years, and in return, he would help him get revenge.
The revenge, in a twist of fate and destiny, was on the same person. Kevin wanted the Elves to feel his pain, and so did his master, who lost everything
because of the Elves.
Kent took a deep sigh and laughed. “I can’t believe I was a con artist back in the
day.”
He shook his head, the look of amusement appearing on his face. So far, his past had been dark from the start. Chaos had no parents. Jest was born a slave whose mother died the same day he was born.
Faceless also lost his mother in an attempt to protect him. And finally, the Ruthless Bandit had to kill his own family as a way to free them from their
suffering.
However, here comes Kevin, whose father was a con artist, so he chose to be one too. That just left Kent stunned and unsure of what to even think about.
Although his mother rejected him and his father later died, he can be said to have had the best childhood yet. His father was a con artist, but he loved him
with all his heart.
So his death triggered him to become somebody. That path was what he started walking again, only this time, instead of killing Elves, he was doing it to
kill a god.
