Chapter 1424 The Ninth Floor – The Damned Prison (7)
[Lilian’s Battle]
Lilian is a no-nonsense kind of gal.
When she is with her sisters, she can be sweet and lively. However, when in battle, there is no gentleness about her.
In fact, when locked in battle, she always goes for the kill, regardless of what or who her opponent is.
This time around, her opponent is a maniac who values torture over killing their target.
Her opponent is the Bloodhowl Devourer, a hybrid wolf-humanoid stitched with beast remains. Most of its body parts seem to want to fall off.
From the moment she laid eyes on her opponent, she knew the battle could end in one of two ways.
The first plan would be to use her innate ability to create a sub-zero-degree domain where her ice abilities would be unmatched, or a superhot domain where her flame abilities would grow devastating as the temperature rose.
Lilian immediately knew which one to use. After all, she had no plans of letting her opponent die the easy way, so she put away her staff and transformed into a flame dragon instead.
The moment she turned into a dragon, the wolf became a dwarf before her. It sensed the danger immediately and tried to attack; however, Lilian had no intention of delaying the battle.
She flapped her wings and took to the air. The wolf followed, but soon realized that, despite being a Spirit Immortal, Lilian was superior in aerial combat.
So it stopped pursuing her.
However, while it chose to stop pursuing its prey, Lilian had no plans of letting it off. So she went ahead and unleashed her innate ability, instantly setting the forest on fire.
In no time, the wolf found itself trapped in a burning region, one so superheated that the very ground began to melt.
ROAR
Lilian let out a powerful dragon roar and took a nosedive, her claws coated in flames. She came with a deadly speed, landing a powerful kick on the wolf’s hide.
BOOM
The wolf lost its balance. The impact tore a chunk off its back, causing blood to pour out. However, because the surroundings had become so hot, the blood began to sizzle, producing a painful sound and sensation that traveled deep into its body.
It tried to run back, but Lilian was already upon it with a breath attack.
HOWL
It let out a painful howl as its entire body was set on fire, one that couldn’t be put out easily.
Standing 4km away, Elsa and Mara smiled, enjoying the battle. Unlike Kent and the others, who appeared alone in random spots due to the special missions, the two of them appeared in the same place.
They tried reaching out to the others, but it was made painfully clear to them that this mission was not as simple as it seemed. So they started roaming about.
Along the way, they encountered a few dangers, but with the two of them working together, they easily handled those threats.
A few minutes ago, they saw smoke and felt the heat in the air when Lilian activated her innate ability. So they moved toward it, and lo and behold, it was just who they suspected.
“I guess she was among the seven who received the special mission,” Mara said, a smile playing on her lips.
Elsa nodded. “It seems so. However, to think she had become this powerful already when she hadn’t even reached the Immortal stage. What a monster.”
“Oh, please, as if you didn’t just kill a Root Immortal with a mere glare.”
Elsa laughed. As the Soul Sentinel, she could easily mess with the soul however she wanted. So killing a Root Immortal wasn’t that much of a struggle for her.
“Maybe before you talk about mine, why don’t you reveal your sword realm? I held back when we fought the two-headed lion, hoping you would reveal it, but I guess a monster doesn’t need their sword realm to take down a Spirit Immortal.”
“I guess we all have become monstrous.”
“I guess we did. And after this mission, I am sure we will all become even more powerful.”
Mara nodded.
“What are you two talking about?” Mara’s sword appeared in her hand instinctively when a voice came from behind then.
Turning around, their gaze landed on a white-haired lady whose resemblance to Lilian is uncanny.
“LILIAN…” they exclaimed, turning back to look at the battle where Lilian was still bombarding the wolf with deadly attacks.
“How are you here when you are locked in combat with that wolf?” Elsa asked, completely bewildered. She is Lilian’s mother, so despite them having the same man as their husband, she still sees herself as a mother figure when Lilian needs it.
They share secrets together and reveal all they have gained whenever they both make a breakthrough. So seeing two Lilians appear two left her in shock and a bit betrayed.
“Sorry, I didn’t tell you. I was hoping to surprise you, which now that I did, I feel terrible I didn’t tell you earlier on.”
“So you can separate into your elemental affinities now,” Mara asked, also stunned.
“Yes. The me fighting is my flame dragon form. This is my ice dragon form. I was keeping watch, making sure nobody snuck up on me, only to find you two here.”
“We sensed your flame, and as your mother who knew everything about you—or at least I thought I did—we decided to come protect you.”
“Oh, come on, Mom, no need to be angry about this. I am sorry.” Lilian hugged her, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Elsa pouted but smiled a second later. “You are lucky, you are my second favourite person.”
“Who is your first?” Lilian now had a pout on her face.
“You are my daughter and all, but until you can grow a dick as beautiful and perfect as Kent’s, he will always be my favourite person.”
Mara giggled, and Lilian smirked. “I guess you are also my—”
Elsa covered Lilian’s mouth, making sure she didn’t end the sentence.
4km away, Lilian kept bombarding her opponent with all kinds of flame attacks. After ten minutes, the wolf became charred but still alive.
Lilian roared and transformed into her redhead form. She summoned her staff and, with a casual wave, a large ball of flame, about 200 meters in diameter, formed in the air and descended on the wolf.
Its entire body was incinerated, leaving not even a bone behind. She waved her staff again, and the fire around receded. The only thing that remained was the smoke and heat.
She flew away and joined Elsa, Mara, and her ice body.
Looking at how identical they looked, a question formed in Mara’s mind.
“I am not Selene, but I have to ask, can both of you have sex with Kent and feel what the other is feeling?”
“Yes and no,” redhead Lilian answered. “I can make it so if I am having sex with Kent, the other me won’t feel a thing.”
“How envious,” Elsa said, pouting again. “So, if I am to get you straight, you have the means to make it so only one version of you will have sex while the other remains oblivious.”
Lilian nodded.
“So in other words, if redhead you were to grow tired, whitehead you can take over.”
“Yes.”
“Damn it.”
