Chapter 1425 The Ninth Floor – The Damned Prison (8)
Kent remained locked in place, his Jade Void Wings creating a force field around him.
Thousands of spears, formed from the metal element, kept bombarding him with deadly attacks, each impact creating cracks in his shield.
He had already summoned all his blood runes, but under the assault of a Peak Immortal Emperor, his defence slowly started to crumble.
Noctyrr started using his four Immortal Qis to reinforce his attacks, so while Kent’s defence was strong, the continuous assault seemed to slowly start to eat away at his force field.
“This is an eye-opener, Kent said inwardly, feeling thankful he was experiencing this battle firsthand.
Once he returned from Planet Brymrr, he would head to the Star Gateway, where he would be facing Immortal-level spatial beasts.
He knew it would be a dangerous journey. However, before this battle, he had this confidence that he would be able to handle an Immortal King and even go toe-to-toe with an Immortal Emperor.
He didn’t place much emphasis on his target since he knew he had become powerful over the last few months.
However, from what he had already seen and was experiencing, he knew that if he didn’t prepare even more, there was a good chance he would be walking to his death.
He could see it loud and clear now. This is a Pseudo-Calamity beast, but he was struggling to hold it back.
Even if he were to face an ordinary Immortal Emperor, just a small mishap, and he would die like a fish.
Unfortunately for Noctyrr, the Chaos Dragon had been working on some powerful stuff over the past couple of weeks and even years.
Before coming on this mission, he received a message that his [Death Star Cannon] was ready for use. He was happy to hear that, but he certainly didn’t expect to need it now.
He had no plans to fire it right now, but he needed its containment feature because he planned to use a soul attack against Noctyrr.
“At the end of the day, I created these tools for battles, so it is not bad to use them when I find myself in a slight pickle.”
Although he would have loved to use nothing but his sword to win, it became clear he was way past that, so he tapped into his soul universe, and at once, the planet shuddered.
Up in the air, over 20 meteors appeared through the clouds, burning with an incendiary might.
Noctyrr felt the danger, so he turned away from Kent, sending all his focus to the colossal stones falling from the sky.
Kent used that chance to distance himself. Watching the meteorites fall with overwhelming might, he felt regretful that they were being used against a single opponent.
He created them purposely to be used against multiple targets.
However, since he had already made the call, making it count was the next best thing he could do.
“RISE.”
He commanded, and a colossal gate rose from the ground, casting a giant, eerie shadow over the place. In an instant, the entire space turned cold. The feeling that appeared couldn’t be described in words. No amount of words would do it justice.
However, seeing the expression that appeared on Noctyrr’s face, everything could be summed up in only one word: fear.
Kent saw fear in his eyes, and that made him smirk. However, as they say, there is no mercy for the damned.
“OPEN.”
CRACK
The gate swung open, and from within, waves of water poured out, filling the air with all kinds of agonizing screams.
Noctyrr was drowned in an instant, his scream blending with the resentful screams coming from the Hell River.
After using it during his mission to the Void Forest, it had become even more terrifying.
On top of that, Kent had become even more powerful, so adding to the resentful souls that were absorbed, it could be said the [Underworld Soul River] had become even more dangerous.
Kent kept count, waiting for the pressure to come. Ten seconds into the activation, he felt it. However, the [Death Star Cannon] activated on its own and started channeling the pressure into the containment.
Kent gritted his teeth, his mind getting overwhelmed. Sixteen seconds later, a drop of blood fell from his nose, then it seeped from the corner of his lips. He endured for three more seconds before deactivating it. A second later, and he would die or worse, sustain a soul and mental injury.
He dropped to his knees, gasping for breath. The water receded back into the gate, and it vanished back into his soul sea.
He retrieved a Tier 13 pill and swallowed it. A wave of energy washed through his body, causing him to take a big breath.
“That was crazy,” he said, but then he laughed.
Looking ahead, he saw Noctyrr sprawled on the ground, his face pale like a white sheet. He was also gasping for breath, but looking at how pale and broken he had become, it could be said even a Root Saint could end him.
Kent didn’t waste the chance. He threw Gaap forward, who moved with precise speed and stabbed through Noctyrr’s head, ending him in an instant.
“HAAAA.”
Kent let out another deep sigh, then sat down in a lotus posture and closed his eyes. Gaap transformed into his humanoid form and stood guard.
He sustained more than one injury. By using the [Underworld Soul River] that intensely, he sustained both mental and soul injuries.
Though not that grave, it was still deep enough to warrant immediate care.
So he needed to heal them before taking any step.
Thankfully, he managed to kill Noctyrr when he did. If he had failed to gain the
advantage as he did, things wouldn’t have ended the way they did.
But he won in the end, so that is all that matters.

Kaizo stood on Titan’s body with one leg, his expression filled with disdain.
“How weak. I expected Calamity Beasts to be strong, but I guess I expected too much.” Looking at the wrecked body he stood on,: was clear he had done a
number on him.
Titan was supposed to be the opponent Kaizo had been waiting for his entire life. However, when they finally met, the outcome was rather disappointing. Having the ability to heal and reform his body from sand and rocks should have made him a perfect counter to an undead like Kaizo.
However, he became arrogant from the start. So when he should have gone on the offensive or bolstered his defense, as Kaizo had advised, he stuck to his
speed.
By the time he realized he was wrong, it was already too late.
“Before you die, know you have been a great disappointment to all brutes out there,” Kaizo smirked. “Now die.”
He raised his leg, and with a thunderous stomp that caused cracks to appear in the ground, he stomped on Titan’s face, crushing his head into chunks of rock. There was no surviving that, not when he had absolutely no way of healing. “Master was right. If I want to have the battle of my life, I must hit the road,” he sighed. “When we are done with this dungeon, I will go on vacation.” His wings appeared behind him again, and he took to the air, speeding toward the south of his location. A couple of minutes ago, he sensed a powerful fluctuation coming from there, so he wanted to check it out.
From another location, Eliane was also heading in the same direction. She also
sensed the fluctuation, so since they cant chat using the Tower, heading there might give her some answers to what had happened.
From other locations, a few others who sensed the fluctuation also headed in
that direction.
