Chapter 1439 Plan to find Black Widows’ whereabouts
Catching up with Crimson Dagger and learning about the rest of his friends sure brought Kent some form of happiness he never expected.
Learning how some of them are faring put him at ease. Of course, some of them may have ventured into uncharted territories over the past million years, but knowing they are alive put him at ease.
At least they are alive and will one day reunite with them, as he did with Crimson Dagger.
But hearing the one called Black Widow had gone missing and possibly ventured into a calamity zone left him wondering just why she would do something like that.
There are about 7 calamity zones in the universe. Legend has it that they existed long before the primordial era fell, so there is a good chance they were formed at the dawn of time.
Over the several eras that have passed, no one can boldly say they have ventured into a Calamity Zone and explored everything it contains. Many tried, and many didn’t return, not because they were incapable. Most legendary warriors tried to uncover the secret of these calamity zones, but were not heard from again.
So, for a friend of his to venture into such a harrowing place left him wondering why she made such a decision, and even worse, why she didn’t tell any of her friends and teammates.
The Midnight Shadows were formed on the idea of how a family should be. So she should at least have made them aware she planned to do something this reckless.
“Knowing the kind of person she is, I am sure she wouldn’t waste her time chasing after someone in the high world,” Kent suddenly said. “So this can only mean she had indeed ventured into the Nameless Temple and left the mark for you to find since she knew you would have prohibited her from entering.”
“I arrived at the same conclusion. However, why would the Cult of Wisdom hide her whereabouts?”
“That is a bit strange indeed. It is like they are hiding something.”
“They are always hiding something. However, to the rest of the Cult of Wisdom, I am someone important to the Black Widow. They respect her because of her intelligence. So if they hold her in such a high regard, what then is preventing them from telling me where she is?”
Kent thought for a moment, but nothing came to mind.
He also found it strange that such a person would go on a mission without her own people knowing. It just doesn’t make sense, not when everything is considered.
To the Cult of Wisdom, Black Widow is Scholar Nania. She rose through the ranks, becoming a Supreme Scholar, something only a few had achieved, so there is just no way they wouldn’t keep track of such a person.
The Cult of Wisdom knows something about everything. So there is just no way they wouldn’t know where Scholar Nania had gone.
“You mentioned they are looking for a gem they discovered in a high world, right?” Kent asked, and Crimson Dagger nodded.
“Is there a chance this person is named Jest?”
“How do you know that?”
“Let’s just say I accidentally passed a test they put out and became an accidental member.” Kent smiled weakly. “I initially wanted to ignore them, but from what I have discovered these last few days, it seems I must go to them.”
Crimson Dagger stared quietly at Kent for a few moments before a smile appeared on his face. “Looks like you came back with more mysteries, Jaqen.”
He paused for a moment and then asked, “Does this have something to do with your suspicion that you had lived other lives before the Faceless Assassin?”
“Yes. But I can’t tell you, Titus. You know, Karma and all.”
“I understand.”
“Good. Of course, one day you will know more, but for now, we have to find Black Widow’s whereabouts.”
“Since the Cult of Wisdom is saying nothing, we can only turn to the next option, which is for you to become a member and find out from within their ranks.”
“How do I go about that, then? I already told you I will embark on a dangerous mission soon, so I need to prepare.”
“I learned they will be opening the 12 Knowledge Seals five years from now. You can make your name known any day, but when the time comes, you must place in the top three to become a member, a respected member.
You must also become an Immortal before then, so you have to work hard to ascend to the rank of at least a Root Immortal in the next five years.”
“I can manage that.”
In five years, he would be back from Elina’s galaxy and be ready to ascend. The only way to get information from the Cult of Wisdom is to become a respected member.
Kent had not yet made any advances or had any ambition to become a member. However, when the issue with the Dark Queen surfaced, he knew he had to join them.
This would give him access to some hidden knowledge not available to just anyone. From what he had learned about the Cult of Wisdom, even the Universe Council usually comes to them for information.
So they know a lot, and he wants his hands on all of it.
“Another thing, have you heard of a Unique Planet called Brymrr?”
His next destination is the home of the Lord Genesis, which is Planet Brymrr. It was where he grew up and started walking the path of the sword.
So he plans on returning home after being away for billions of years.
“Planet Brymrr is or was once the home world of a legendary swordsman who lived during the Divine Era. From what I learned over the years, a Sword Supreme rules over it now.
Recently, word even started to spread that she has awakened and returned home after being away for billions of years.”
Kent furrowed his brow. “This Sword Supreme, do you happen to know her name?”
“Unfortunately, no. But I know she is a dangerous person and the only god in the universe to have attained the rank of a Sword Supreme without actually reaching the rank of a Supreme.
There are some other rumours about her, but most are just people trying to make her appear more mysterious.”
Crimson Dagger paused and gave Kent a hard look. “Don’t tell me you plan on going there.”
Kent laughed. “What, you think I am that crazy? I just want to have a look and perhaps seek out a friend of mine or maybe an enemy from the past. Regardless, I have to go there, so if you have something else to say, now is the best time.”
“Unbelievable.”
In the end, Crimson Dagger started telling him all the dangers of a Unique world, specifically, the dangers of Planet Brymrr.
He offered to accompany him, but Kent said no. His reason is simple. If he were to appear in such a place with a Supreme as his bodyguard, he would draw too much attention.
So he will go alone. If there is a danger that he can’t wiggle his way out of, Vexthra will be on call to come to his aid.
He could have decided to wait and first go to Elina’s galaxy before seeking out Inaya. However, knowing the kind of danger waiting for him, he knew he had to use this journey to prepare for what awaited him at the Star Gateway.
