Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1488 Meeting a Client

Chapter 1488 Meeting a Client
An hour later, Vika returned with a small blush on her cheek. Since only an hour had passed on the outside, it meant she had spent a day inside the tower.
Kent was done mixing the paints and was brainstorming what to paint first.
When he saw her appear, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. She tried to hide it from him, but she failed terribly.
“Let me guess, you met Selene.”
“H-How did you know?”
Kent chuckled, “Selene tends to have a certain effect on people. Looking at how embarrassed you are now, there is no doubt she was the cause.”
“She is so shameless in a sweet kind of way.”
“That is my Selene. None of us truly knows what goes on in her head. Just that when it comes to being shameless, she is second to none.”
Kent didn’t even know where her shamelessness came from. When they met, she was the shy type, making herself scarce so that she wouldn’t fall for him.
Kent was still green back then, so he felt like she wasn’t interested. However, after tasting the forbidden fruit, her personality flipped.
She not only made it so her sister Neomi would join her in the harem, but was also behind the sudden downfall of most of the women in the dragon harem. Because of her, most of them did things they never knew they were capable of.
Even Vexthra had to give it to the shameless Saintess; she is one of a kind.
“I will be sure Fallon stays far away from her. Who knows what she would do to my sweet collector?” Vika laughed, then focused on the blank canvas.
“Are you coming to paint?”
“Yes. I am just putting some things together first.”
“Then I will not disturb you.”
She sat back and started staring at him. Kent knew his first art would determine how long he would stay in Snow City. With three powerful ladies by his side, even crossing the sea using a ship was possible.
However, if he could use the teleportation channel or, even better, the teleportation gates, which he had just discovered existed, it would go a long way.
It’s been a long time since the universe has seen a Spirit Painter. Now that he is back and with a mission in mind, he will take the universe by storm again.
After sitting there for ten more minutes, he lifted the brush and started to paint. It would take some time, but with the experience he has under his belt, he has nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile, after Fallon left, she made her way toward the busiest part of the city, where the various activities were rather chaotic. Her destination was an antique store where artefacts from several eras were on display.
While she only collected paintings, there were those who collected all kinds of stuff. This particular client was one for whom she had collected quite a sum of paintings, some of which nearly cost her life had it not been for the people she worked for coming to her aid.
In the world of collectors, the competition was rather severe. A slight mistake and not only would the item be taken off their hands, but it could also be taken from their bodies, too.
When she got to the store, as expected, it was packed with admirers who came from far and beyond to look at the items on display.
While some people chose not to show their collections, most didn’t mind. Some even went out of their way to sell the item at many times the price they bought it for.
Fallon merely collected for others, so she had no business with what they did with whatever she got for them.
Seeing the long queue, she only stopped for a moment before she started walking toward the entrance.
“Hey, lady, can’t you see we’re all in a queue?” The people in the queue started to complain; however, Fallon didn’t even bother to look at them.
“What a bitch. If not because leaving this queue would send me back even more, I would have snapped her neck to put her in her place.”
“Same here.”
The more she walked forward, the more their curses increased until suddenly, they all stopped.
“Welcome, Lady Fallon,” the two Immortal Lord guards at the gate bowed when Fallon approached them.
This sight made everyone who insulted her tense.
They had no idea she was someone important. But even if they didn’t know, just the fact that Fallon moved forward with her back held high was enough reason to tell everyone she wasn’t here like them.
Now, looking at her back, fear and panic started to set in. In their minds, she could easily tell on them, and they would be sacked and even banned from entering the store ever again.
Thankfully, after talking to the guards for a few seconds, one of them took her inside. The other one arrogantly smirked. “The items many of you are about to see were collected by the fine lady who just entered. In the future, learn to show some respect.”
Those who feared they would be banned exhaled, feeling like they had jumped the gun. If only they knew they still stood in the queue simply because Fallon chose not to make enemies this time.
In the past, she wouldn’t have hesitated to use her standing to expel the people who rained curses on her. Now, with a god and his minions after her, she knew keeping a low profile was paramount.
Aysel may be safe now, but that doesn’t mean she would call attention to Kent and her new companions.
She was led up the stairs by the guard, and after a few minutes of climbing, they came to a stop in front of a golden door.
The guard knocked, and a voice came from inside.
“Let her in.”
“My lady, you can enter.”
“Thank you, Sam.” The guard opened the door, and Fallon walked in.
“Glad to see you are still alive, Fallon. The last time I tried contacting you, I was told you and your family no longer lived on the Elven Continent,” an elven lady said, sitting behind a desk with a round pair of eyeglasses suspended on her nose.
She looked so down-to-earth that one would mistake her for a mortal; however, she was actually a demigod.
Fallon said nothing and only sat down on the chair she was given. The demigod lady sighed and decided to change the topic.
While she started by asking where she had been, as someone who valued the safety of her workers, she had already become aware of Fallon’s predicament.
The only reason she said nothing or did nothing was that against a god, even she was powerless. Also, she was not a martial cultivator, so offending a god was the last thing she wanted.
“Hope you are well.”
“I am fine, Lady Annette,” Fallon answered. While she had expected Lady Annette to at least offer her help back when she was in need, she also knew Lady Annette had no obligation to aid her, not when their relationship was the type that ended at ‘find an item, and I will pay for your service.’
“I am here with business, like always,” Fallon said before taking out the painting of Kent’s mom. The moment Lady Annette’s eyes landed on it, her entire body shook.
