Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1489 Sweet Deal

Chapter 1489 Sweet Deal
“Where did you get this?” Lady Annette asked, her greedy eyes locked on the painting. The beauty of it all, and the fact that just looking at it fills her heart with all kinds of emotions, deepened her desire to own it.
No collector would look past such a beautiful painting.
Fallon smirked and put the painting away before this greedy bitch would snatch it off her hands.
“I have taken on a client who paints. This is his first work, which he completed in under two hours. I am here because he wants to dominate the world of painting, and to do that, people like you are needed.
He will provide the painting, you will display it, and spread his name. Of course, you can also purchase it, which will become yours, and you can do with it whatever you desire.”
“I am not declining what you said; however, wouldn’t it be better to just auction it?”
“Auctioning it would indeed spread his name. But that would be for the ordinary folk. He has no qualification to place an auction in any of the S-Tier auction houses.”
“But I do,” Lady Annette smiled. “Because of my reputation, I can place an item there.”
“Yes. With your connections, you can easily put one of his paintings on sale at any of the S-Tier auction houses. I know you and Lady Tilly are more than just friends. Using her auction house wouldn’t be too bad.”
Lady Annette blushed but said nothing. She sat there and began analysing what Fallon had just said. In her mind, there was no harm in using her services to sell a painting if it meant she herself would have her name spread far and beyond.
She had been in the game for long enough that she could tell when someone was trying to break into the scene. This meant that since his name was not yet known, she would have the privilege of making him famous.
Once he became famous, his name would be tied to hers, which in this regard would make her own avenue famous.
But there was a downside, which had to do with whether or not the person she would be dealing with would be able to remain consistent and provide when requested.
A god or many gods might fall in love with his painting, and they would want some. What then was the guarantee he would be able to provide? The last thing she wanted was angering gods.
“I would have to see three more paintings from this person. If I like them, I will ensure that one of his paintings is auctioned within the next week. The other two will be displayed here for all who want to see.
Though I will advise you to hurry. The Annual Wealth Auction is just two weeks away. If what you bring me is enough to make me happy, I might even throw in a VIP ticket for you and whoever you can bring.”
A smile formed on Lady Annette’s face, causing Fallon to narrow her eyes. She knew the lady before her wanted to say something, but she wanted her to ask first.
“Just spill it, Lady Annette.”
Lady Annette giggled and said:
“I even learned that one of the Spirit brushes will be auctioned this time around. Now, while I am not certain, I can tell this painter of yours may be a spirit painter. Now, I am sure they would love to have such a weapon.”
Fallon narrowed her eyes further as she stood up. “I will make sure my client hears your request and gets back to you. Be sure to stay close to your communication.”
Fallon stood up and started to leave. When she reached the doorstep, she turned and looked back at Lady Annette. “I wasn’t here, and you most certainly have never been in contact with me.”
Before she could say anything, Fallon vanished into thin air, her presence completely erased. She used the tower to move since Kent had granted her permission to enter and leave as she pleased.
After she was gone, Lady Annette picked up a communication jade token and called someone. A few rings later, a lady spoke from the other end.
“Make it quick, Annette. I have an auction to prepare for.”
“No need to be uptight, Tilly. I just wanted to tell you I may have found a potential Spirit Painter, so that brush mustn’t be auctioned.”
“A Spirit Painter?”
“Yes. I am yet to confirm, but I am 80% sure, and when confirmed, I will come to you first. So maybe take out the brush from the line-up and also reserve one more slot for me.”
“I will not take out the brush since it was given to me by a god. But I can reserve a slot for you.”
“Tch, why did I even bother to ask?” A frown appeared on her face, but quickly went away. “Fine, just be ready to process everything hastily when I come to you.”
She hung up and took a deep breath. She planned to use her superior senses to follow Fallon and see if she could find the person she works for much more quickly. But the sneaky lady just vanished into thin air.
“Don’t disappoint me, Fallon.”
—
Two hours had passed since Kent had started painting. Fallon had already returned to his side. After leaving Lady Annette’s office, she entered the tower and appeared inside the Mountain Garden. Once she appeared there, the tower brought her back to her store.
She joined Vika to watch as one detail after another was added to the painting, gradually bringing it to life. An hour and a half into it, Lene also arrived using the same method as Fallon.
She joined them, and a few minutes later, Kent stopped and turned around, making sure none of them saw what he was about to add to his painting.
They saw he was painting an eye; however, he hadn’t added the pupil yet. This made them wonder why that was the case. After all, from what they could sense from the painting, it wasn’t something simple.
Its profoundness was just too vast for them to make sense of. Maybe that was because it wasn’t complete yet. But even so, they couldn’t help but wonder why he turned away from them.
In the end, to not disturb him, they chose to wait for him to finish.
Thirty minutes later, the painting started to glow. Lene immediately waved her hand, creating a dome around the store to shield the light. The last thing they wanted was to create a scene.
Thankfully, the light only lasted for two minutes before dispersing.
Kent then stood up and walked away, his back turned to the finished work. Five minutes later, he turned back and looked at his work, bringing a smile to his face.
Of course, while he made it look like he was smiling, what he was looking back at was a bit scary. A few seconds later, he shielded his eyes and gestured for the ladies to turn the painting around.
Lene moved and held his hand. “Are you okay, Master?”
“I am fine. It is just the success of my painting that caused me to nearly injure my soul.”
“Success?” Lene moved him to sit down first before she walked toward the painting. A few steps in, she stopped when she saw the pale looks appear on Fallon and Vika’s faces.
“Turn it away from them.”
Lene obeyed and turned the painting away, causing the two ladies to gasp for breath. They both turned and looked at Kent, their expressions changing.
The dragon merely smiled.
