Chapter 1496 Dream Illusion Flower & Seven Pattern Butterfly
After reading through the mission, Vexthra and her team concluded that only a few of them should go. They still have the 12th floor and subsequent ones to clear, so they can’t waste weeks on a single floor.
Travelling to a different planet will surely take weeks, if not months.
So after some talks, they decided to send a five-member team on this mission. Since the mission said nothing about the strength of their opponent, they decided not to risk it.
Miryssa had already informed everyone that they had encountered natives from the world they are in. From what she revealed, the people of this world have about five Immortal Lords among them and a few others who are already at the Immortal Monarch and Emperor stage.
Such a lineup is enough to go to this planet and rescue their princess. The fact that they haven’t already told them their opponent is no simple warlord.
So Avotha and Vargus were tasked to lead the team. Going with them is Axiom, who is an Immortal Monarch, and Kailan, who is an Immortal King.
Lastly, they added Fero, who happens to be a dragon and also an Immortal King, just like Kailan. These five can be considered a very lethal force that many would run from.
Vargus is a Demigod, someone who is only a step away from becoming a god. Aside from him, Avotha is a force even more lethal than Vargus. He is a Demigod who has gone against several harrowing opponents and walked out alive.
As someone who trained his entire life in hell, he can be considered a monster.
In fact, two of Vargus would struggle against him. So he would lead, and Vargus would support. Axiom will ensure they don’t die since his handle over the void is next to none.
Kailan and Fero are there to handle the small fries. While that is a bit funny considering Fero alone can take on multiple Immortal Kings, the mission is to rescue the Princess and, if possible, kill the warlord.
“Remember, we have three legendary rewards on the line, so be sure to get the job done and, well, have fun while at it,” Vexthra said before pointing in the direction they should go.
Now that the mission is over, she is back to her goddess strength and can sense the entire world.
It was also because she could sense the entire planet that she put together such a team. There are powerful immortals living on the planet, so she knew the only reason why they haven’t yet rescued their princess may be because she is hard to reach. The warlord may be a threat they can’t handle easily.
After they are gone, Vexthra turns to the rest of her sisters.
“The moment Velyra is done, we will head directly to the 12th floor. For now, use the time to see if you can find anything that will aid Unity.”
They nodded and scattered, leaving Vexthra and Miryssa behind. Miryssa waited for a few minutes before she asked, “We could have sent only Avotha on this mission, and he would have done an impeccable job. Why did you add the others, too?”
Vexthra smiled, knowing Miryssa was right. Avotha is strong enough to kill someone at the God Ascension stage. Sending him on a mission with four others, with one at the Demigod stage, feels like overkill.
“You are right. Avotha alone is enough. However, he alone would take longer than I wanted. The reason, of course, is the rewards.”
Miryssa furrowed her brow, hearing Vexthra’s words.
“The Dragon Ascension Fruit is what I am most concerned about. The reason for that is, of course, to help Kent. The Dragon Ascension Fruit, paired with the Chaos Heart Stones, will not only help him in forming his first Chaos Heart, but it will also raise his bloodline by at least 10%.
I know you are already aware that once he returns, he will be embarking on another dangerous mission, one that he will be tried and tested, draining him of all the strength he has. I want him to have all the power he can carry before leaving.
If he can create a Chaos Heart and raise his bloodline by even 5%, I will be able to sleep at night knowing he will be safe when inside the Star Gateway.
This is why I want them to hurry. If they complete the mission fast enough, he will have ample time to use the Dragon Ascension Fruit.”
Miryssa nodded, understanding why Vexthra made such a decision. “I guess the only delay here will be their travel from this planet to the other planet.”
Vexthra nodded. She knew the moment they got to Planet Skar that Warlord could be considered dead.
After spending a few minutes talking about other things, they also joined the search after Vexthra created a formation around Velyra.

Meanwhile, back on Planet Brymrr, Kent had finished his second painting and was on the verge of finishing the third.
Vika and Fallon had yet to return from the tower, so it was just Kent and Lene. She had booked a hotel for them and was only waiting for her master to be done so they could move there for the night.
Since Vika and Fallon are not around, she wants to spend some quality time with him.
Thankfully, a few hours later, Kent completed the third painting, causing a ripple to spread through the city. Many felt it but failed to track its origin.
After performing his post-painting ritual, he turned to the three paintings he would use to make a name for himself in the coming days.
The first is, of course, the Demon Heart Gaze, which he knew would cause a bidding war when auctioned. Using painting to see one’s heart demon is something everybody will love to have.
In fact, all his paintings would cause a bidding war.
The second painting, for example, is a painting of a beautiful flower. At first glance, it appears ordinary, but if one channels their focus into it, their consciousness will be sucked into the painting, allowing them to enter an illusory realm where the longer one stays inside, the stronger their mind becomes.
Basically, it strengthens the mind against illusions.
The third is the Seven Pattern Butterfly. This painting was something he witnessed during his life as Jest. It was when he was travelling through the Sword Valley.
On one fateful evening, he met a spirit beast called the Seven Pattern Jade Butterfly. It was a beast he spent three days running from.
At first, he thought he would be able to escape from it, but after three days, the sly beasts were still after him. It took some time, but he eventually noticed the patterns on the butterfly were not there for decoration.
They each have unique flight patterns and abilities that, when mastered, can allow anyone who specializes in aerial combat to become nearly invincible.
Jest spent one month studying all seven patterns before he managed to escape. Afterwards, he spent five months mastering them before he finally gained the upper hand and killed the vile beast.
Later, he discovered it was one of the Overlords of the Sword Valley. Killing it was an achievement he never expected to achieve that easily.
He brought it back to life through painting. Those who wish to master the seven patterns will have to send their consciousness into the painting, where they will meet the Seven Pattern Jade Butterfly and learn from it.
This time, however, instead of running for their dear lives like many did billions of years back, they would have the liberty to control what happens while inside the painting.
Kent knew these three paintings would cause chaos soon, so he wanted to rest and recover his strength first before calling Fallon over to take the paintings to Lady Annette.
“I am hungry again. Let’s grab a bite before heading to the hotel.”
