“This is…” Vexthra’s sisters looked at the green leaf in her palm and couldn’t help but ask.
“It is… a leaf from the Tree of Life,” she answered, holding the leaf like a delicate egg. Not that it was far from that.
The leaf from the Tree of Life was something even a god like her was impressed and shocked by, to the point she couldn’t afford to put it in her mouth.
If another god saw her holding such a leaf, they would probably attack and try to take it from her. That’s how valuable the leaf from the tree of life is.
If Vexthra wanted, she could keep it and only use it when she truly needed it.
Too bad she had a worried husband.
Kent, who knew what the leaf was and what it did thanks to his enchanted eyes, picked it up and stuffed it into her mouth.
Unfortunately for Vexthra, the moment it entered her mouth, it dissolved into energy and entered her body. She immediately sat in lotus posture and started regulating the energy flowing through her body.
After a few minutes, she opened her eyes with a sigh and a smile.
“This is just too much… After millions of years since I became a True God, I have reached my first bottleneck, and it’s all thanks to Elaine, a mortal who is not even a Root Ascension expert yet.”
Vexthra’s eyes were filled with warmth as she stared at Elaine.
“Does this mean you will leave soon to handle your bottleneck?” Unity asked in a sad tone.
“Not yet. I still have some of the energy from the Leaf of Life yet to be absorbed. But aside from that, I need to choose a path I must walk to become a Supreme. So until then, I will be here with you all.”
The sisters smiled, hearing that. Of course, the ever-nerdy Voidling had to get curious, so she asked,
“Can you tell us the next phase after the True God stage?”
“I don’t mind.” Vexthra was actually happy to say something about being a god. She didn’t have any friends to talk to until now.
“Once you become a True God, your divinity will be recognized by the Daos… you call them the laws of the heavens.
But they are actually Dao. The Dao has to recognise you first before you can face the True Good Realm tribulation and become a true god.
This True God realm is where your future will be determined. You see, after becoming a True God, there are two paths you can choose to become a Supreme being.
The first is the Ancient Path, where you create a god body and make it undergo the four Divine Tribulations.
The first trial, if passed, will make you a God Lord. The second will make you a God King. The third is a God Emperor, and the last is a God Monarch.
After this, you will merge with your god body and undergo the Supreme Tribulation to become an Early Supreme. It’s a long process that can take millions of years.
The second is a path known as the Dao Path. Once one chooses this path, they will become what we call an Outer God. This path looks and sounds simple; however, it’s actually very hard.
You must study 1,000 Daos and understand them to some degree, where you will gain the Dao Mark. The moment you gain that, you move to the next until you gain a thousand Dao Marks.
Once you gain all that, you must form your own Dao and fully comprehend it. It’s your Dao, so you must understand it fully. If it succeeds, the Supreme Tribulation will come.”
“That sounds like a lot of work,” Val said, not wanting to consider it.
“Indeed, it’s a lot of work. But since the beginning of time, this has been the only path to supremacy.”
“Maybe someone should create a new path. I mean, undergoing four tribulations sounds like a suicide mission to me.” Velyra couldn’t help but smile.
The ladies smiled with her. However, they quickly noticed Kent wasn’t talking. He stood there blankly as if he was trying to recall something.
“Kent… Kent… Kent—” Vexthra called three times before he was startled awake.
“Kent, is everything alright?” Vexthra asked with a concerned look. Her sister wore the same expression.
Kent smiled and cupped her cheeks. “I am fine. I just feel like I have forgotten something very important when you started talking about the god paths.” His smile spread across her face.
“By the way, you should walk both paths. Walk both the path of the Dao and the Ancient Path.” Vexthra’s jaw dropped hearing that.
“Why say that?” Neomi asked, knowing Kent wouldn’t joke about something this important.
“If you want to stand at the pinnacle in the future, then walk the path no one has walked before.” His words made his ladies frown.
He just laughed and turned back to Elaine.
Meanwhile, the three Lolis appeared back inside the mountain garden holding the weak Dori, whose face was pale, like she had lost all the blood in her body.
Gaia and Akira wore concerned expressions.
⟪Dori, what happened? Why did you suddenly lose all your Cosmic energy? I can’t feel even a single strand of cosmic energy from you,⟫ Gaia asked.
⟪I also don’t know. Just now, when the beautiful goddess was talking, I felt the master’s mind split in two, and then, from the center, a memory that shouldn’t have existed—something I had no idea where it came from—started to surface.
If I hadn’t acted immediately and sealed it back, I am afraid things would have gone bad real quick. It’s a good thing I had enough energy to seal his mind back to its normal state,⟫ Dori explained, catching her breath.
⟪A forbidden memory. This is…⟫ Akira wasn’t even done when a voice entered their heads.
“Children, stop talking about it. And Gaia, cover for Doriana, I need to take her away to recover. Don’t worry, she will be back sooner than you think.”
⟪Okay, mother.⟫ Gaia and Akira responded.
⟪Get well soon, Dori.⟫ They said their farewells, and Dori’s body turned to cosmic energy and vanished.
The two sisters stood there for a few minutes before Gaia sighed and created a copy of herself that looked like Dori.
⟪I can copy her looks but not her mind.⟫ Gaia sighed.
⟪Let’s just tell master she is working on something important so she can’t be disturbed. Since she is already done with the weave for the Primordial Chamber, her absence won’t be felt much,⟫ Akira proposed, and Gaia nodded, dispersing her clone.
⟪Let’s get busy then. Time to continue building.⟫
Like nothing had happened, the two cosmic lolis went back to work.
Meanwhile, Dori’s body reassembled at the universe’s core, where a wave of cosmic energy started entering her cosmic core.
