Chapter 811: Elder Lance Troubles [Bonus]
“You all should do your best and get into the sect. It is the start of your journey, one that will take you to the peak,” Queen Jascia said, looking at the lineup of youngsters going to the sect.
Beside her were the other leaders, whose candidates were among those who trained under Uncle Drake. They all came to wish them farewell and encourage them one last time to do their best to join the sect.
After they said all they had to say, Queen Jascia opened a portal to the Flame Mountains, and everyone entered. Most stayed behind, but she went with Kent and the others.
Uncle Drake also went with them.
When they appeared on the Flame Mountain, there were others there. Of course, most were new faces, mostly royals who had received an invitation to enter the sect.
Of course, Kent could sense the stares from them, and judging by the ones he was receiving from the Crystal Dragon Prince and the Flame Dragon Princess, they weren’t happy he was taking all the spotlight from them.
But who could blame them? If they were to learn 12 Divine grade techniques, perhaps they would also gain the same spotlight.
Kent didn’t even bother with them, for he knew killing them would be as simple as waving his hand. Had it not been for his duel with the Pill Princess, he wouldn’t have wasted his time entering the sect.
Of course, he was now eager to see the strongest the medium world had to offer, and the only way to do that was to join a sect that could give him that platform.
These children, thinking they were the greatest under the heavens, were merely swimming in ponds while he had already dived into the surging seas.
They settled down and began to wait for the representatives from the supreme Immortal sect.
It took two hours, but eventually, Elder Lance arrived, this time alone. He appeared through the void since it was the fastest way to move.
‘That is odd. For a sect of renown, they sure don’t hold their potential disciples in esteem, sending only one person to come for them,” Kent said inwardly, looking at the elder appear through the void.
After the void closed, everyone started to wonder the same thing as Kent.
Of course, none had the guts to voice it out. Kent didn’t care. To him, reaching the sect was of utmost priority. He didn’t care who came for him or how many of them there were.
Elder Lance looked at everyone and sighed.
‘I can’t in good conscience send all his high-spirited kids to their death. I just can’t,’ he said inwardly, looking around until suddenly his eyes landed on someone who made him raise his brow.
‘What if he can help… what if I take away the slot of one person and give it to him so that he can escort them? I can justify this by saying they survived thanks to him.
Those bastards can’t do anything to me then, and I will be able to preserve the life of my people in the process.’
A plan formed, and so he moved toward Uncle Drake, who stood there, arms folded across his chest, ignoring all the heated stares from the dragons.
“Can I have words with this senior?” Elder Lance said, and Uncle Drake looked at him calmly for a few seconds before nodding.
Uncle Drake waved his hand, and the void cracked, pulling both him and the Elder in. The leaders of the various races raised their brows, seeing such an impeccable display of void mastery.
Kent just smirked because he couldn’t do it either.
⟦I can sense the master is jealous of what he saw, so I have added Void Mastery to your schedule. Once you have completely formed your core, you can begin learning it⟧
‘Tch. Who is jealous? I couldn’t care less what else he can do, and I can’t. But thank you for adding it to my itinerary.’ A smile appeared on his face.
⟦You are welcome, Master⟧
Kent was about to turn toward Princess Elowen to have a few conversations when his body was wrapped in void energy and pulled into Uncle Drake’s Void Space.

Elder Lance was taken aback when he appeared in a space filled with darkness, yet he could see clearly. He had been using the void to travel, but it was merely for movement. He had never stayed inside it for more than three seconds.
However, he was now standing in one, and that alone raised his expectation of Uncle Drake. ‘Not even Supreme Elder Jian can do that.’
The dragon looked at the elder for a few more seconds before speaking, “You look troubled. Is everything alright?”
Elder Lance sighed. “I will go straight to the point. The sect elders want me to kill this year’s batch of disciples while taking them to the sect. I don’t want to do it, but they are using the safety of my people to blackmail me.
I can’t say I will choose the side of these children over my own family, so I was hoping the senior could help me save them and also save my people in the process.
Even if they can’t make it to the sect, they also can’t die. I won’t be able to sleep at night knowing I brought their doom.
I already have a plan, and if the senior is willing to help me, everything will go well in the end. I genuinely believe that.”
Uncle Drake sighed. “You are a good person for telling me this. But you shouldn’t be talking to me, tell him everything instead. He will help you.”
“Who—”
Elder Lance wasn’t done with his question when Kent was pulled into the Void Space.
“Wow, that was disorienting,” Kent said when he appeared in the space. He looked around him like anyone would before turning to Uncle Drake and Elder Lance.
“Uhm, why am I here?” Kent asked.
“He needs help, and you can help him.” Uncle Drake spoke like he wasn’t concerned about the lives of everyone he had just heard were in danger.
Of course, he was rocking that dragon nonchalance like a flag. Kent turned to Elder Lance, who didn’t know, or more like wasn’t sure, what was happening here.
One minute, he was telling his troubles to Uncle Drake, and now, he was asked to say the same to a mere kid he could swipe away with the back of his hand.
This made him wonder if Uncle Drake was merely playing a prank on him.
“If you want to save your people, then you will talk to him. Because today, whether you come clean or not, every last kid going to the sect will reach the sect, for he alone is enough to ensure their safety.
I can save the kids, but I can’t help your people. He, on the other hand, can do both, so talk to him.”
Kent raised his brow and looked at the elder. “Let me guess, somebody wants you to kill us, and to ensure you do it, they are holding your people hostage.”
Elder Lance hesitated but nodded. “It’s the Outer Area Senior Elders. They want you all dead, for if you get to the sect, it will be revealed the corruption ring they’ve been running all these years.”
“Tell me more.”
