Chapter 878: Kent vs The Wandering Demon Swordsman (3)
“Void Cleave”
Kent appeared to the left of the Wandering Demon Swordsman and unleashed the Void Cleave attack, sending a powerful sword arc out.
“Rapid Slash”
He appeared on his right again and unleashed a rapid sword slash, sending 450 sword arcs at the Wandering Demon Swordsman. But it didn’t stop there.
“Transcendent Heavenly Sword”
Ten swords appeared in the air and merged, forming one large sword that shot straight at the Wandering Demon Swordsman.
“Dragon Sword Strike”
Kent unleashed the fourth strike, manifesting a large flame dragon coated in sword aura.
All four attacks arrived at the same time.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman was snapped out of the shocked state he was caught in when Kent unleashed his Clone bodies.
He unleashed a powerful wave of sword intent and sword aura.
However, aside from cutting a few sword arcs from the Rapid Slash unleashed by Kent, the rest landed on his body, sending him flying back. Kent didn’t give him a moment of rest.
Two of his clone bodies jumped into the air.
Kent swapped places with the first clone and unleashed another Void Cleave, then he swapped with the second and unleashed ’Limitless Sword Arcs.’
The third clone body unleashed Rapid Slash again.
The attacks overwhelmed the Wandering Demon Swordsman, but Kent knew it was nowhere close to dying, so he intensified his assaults.
“You can’t kill what is not real.” The Wandering Demon Swordsman chopped off the head of one of the clones; however, the next second, another one appeared.
Kent laughed and then swapped with the next clone just in time for the sword of the Wandering Demon Swordsman to pierce the chest of the clone he swapped with.
If he were a moment slower, the attack would have landed on his main body.
However, it didn’t stop there. The moment the clone died, two more appeared.
This made the Wandering Demon Swordsman hesitate, unsure which one to attack. But before he could decide, a lightning bolt came from another clone Kent had swapped places with.
It landed on his body, burning the armor.
“Looks like my lightning grew stronger after forming a core.”
Kent swapped with another clone and used his hand to control three swords, each aimed at different parts of the Wandering Demon Swordsman’s body.
He managed to defend against all three, but a stabbing attack from the closest clone sent him flying back. Kent pressed on, not allowing the moment to pass by.
With the ’Soul Map,’ Kent was going for all the Intent Marks he could see on the Wandering Demon Swordsman’s body. They were like calling cards, calling him to strike those spots.
Kent wasted none of these marks since he knew, for now, the Wandering Demon Swordsman had nothing new to show him when it came to the path of the sword.
The only advantage he had as a Sword King was his ’Sword Realm.’ But since Kent rendered it useless for the next 24 hours using the Rule Breaker skill, he was back to nothing.
Kent was very good with his sword, and with his cheat-like Soul Map, he was having a field day with the Wandering Demon Swordsman.
’He may be faster and stronger than I, but I know all his moves before he makes them. Now, I just have to find a way to kill him.’
Kent already had a way to kill the Wandering Demon Swordsman; however, he wasn’t sure using it was the right thing to do.
He had already used the ’One Slash Kill’ twice, and the results were him passing out the first time and losing all his strength the second time.
So he wasn’t banking on it to win this battle.
In the event that his attack didn’t kill the bastard, he would become drained, or he might even pass out, meaning his life was over, thanks to his own skill.
So Kent wasn’t planning on using that.
He could only do his best to find another way.
’I need more clones.’
Kent said inwardly before ten clones appeared and spread out on the battlefield. They each emitted a faint killing intent. The moment the Wandering Demon Swordsman felt this, his instinct told him to run.
And he tried to run. However, Kent unleashed a flame attack that manifested a bone skull in the air. The skull slammed into his body, sending him flying down.
“Running is not an option, Mr.” Kent laughed because he knew this battle was his now, and he knew what must be done to kill the bastard.

[The Wandering Demon Swordsman POV]
From the start of the battle, the Wandering Demon Swordsman was having a field day with Kent. He had the upper hand, and no matter how hard Kent tried, his attacks kept pushing him back.
However, with the three rings around Kent’s body, most of his attacks were being blocked. Of course, as a Heavenly Ascension stage cultivator, he could sense it; the rings were draining Kent.
This gave him the idea to pressure Kent more. However, what he didn’t know was that the rings were merely eating away at the four Level 8 Spirit Lord Cores and not from Kent’s own core.
Kent was merely using an external energy source to power the rings, forcing him to reveal his sword moves and battle style. Since he didn’t know Kent was doing something like that, he was eager to wear away Kent’s energy.
Slowly, he started to see that the openings in Kent’s defense began to close.
First, it was his exposed neck. While he was at first pushing Kent to the corner with all attacks aimed at his neck, this time Kent used the rings to actively block him before he even had the chance to attack.
Then came his legs, shoulders, chest, and chest.
Slowly, Kent’s defenses were sealed.
That was when he saw the need to activate his Sword Realm.
However, the victory he was aiming for didn’t happen. Just when he was confident his most powerful attack would take care of Kent, the boy just snapped his fingers, and he lost access to his Sword Realm.
Then his nightmare began.
“He has clones.” The moment the clones appeared, and each started attacking, he knew he had to run.
However, he learned a long time ago that extensive use of clones tends to slow down a person. So he was holding on, aiming for when Kent would become tired.
However, he was shocked when an hour later, Kent kept going, and instead of Kent getting tired, he was the one becoming sluggish.
Then it happened.
“Ten clones. Just who is this kid? Is he perhaps a big shot from a Supreme High world who has suppressed his cultivation base just to mess with me?” The thought flashed through his mind, and like gaining enlightenment, he chose to run.
It was better to keep his life than his reputation. If he lived, he could hunt down Kent and end him for good.
—
However, Kent didn’t allow him to run. He spread out his clone bodies, putting them at points the Wandering Demon Swordsman could use to escape.
“Flame that ignites the heart, burns the soul, and turns the body to ash. Heed my call and grant me thy power.” Kent distanced himself and then spoke the last incantation.
“Flame Lord’s Dominion.”
A flame tattoo appeared on Kent’s forehead, and the sword in his hand ignited. Kent raised it over his head and then took one significant slash, sending a powerful sword arc at the Wandering Demon Swordsman.
The wandering demon swordsman swung his sword, sending a powerful sword arc at the approaching flame arc. The two attacks met, and a powerful explosion that blinded both Kent and the Wandering Demon Swordsman erupted.
“Death is the only way.”
Kent waved his hand, and ten flaming swords appeared behind him. With a wave of his hand, they moved.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman didn’t see them come, but like hot, piercing needles, the swords went through his chest 340 times in under five seconds, leaving a gaping hole in his chest.
