Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 885: The Three True Puzzles

Chapter 885: The Three True Puzzles
The three Life Emperors didn’t even want to question Kent at the moment.
The puzzle they had received—and which they themselves had spent three weeks trying to solve but couldn’t—before putting it out to the entire world, was just solved by a junior.
If there was no reason to give Kent face, then this feat alone was enough to earn their respect and prevent them from questioning anything he says.
Thus, they allowed him to move toward the boxes.
Kent, meanwhile, held a puzzled look in his eyes as he walked toward the three boxes.
’So this was what the quest was referring to as the puzzles. The riddle was just the appetizer for the main dish.’
⟦All the master has to do is place his hand on the various boxes, and the puzzle to solve would be revealed. It will appear as if you’re learning a new skill or technique.⟧
Kent smiled and stood before the first box, placing his hand on it. The moment his hand touched it, his consciousness was pulled into the space where the puzzle was to be solved.
Kent’s senses sharpened as he was drawn deeper into the puzzle’s realm. It was as if his mind was focused intently on the puzzle, with nothing else on his mind.
The surroundings shifted into a serene forest clearing bathed in soft, golden light. Ancient trees towered overhead, their leaves whispering as a cold breeze blew past them.
In the center lay a circle of stones, each inscribed with unfamiliar runes glowing faintly.
“Looks like that is the puzzle to be solved,” Kent muttered as he walked closer to get a better view. He noticed his soul map and other abilities weren’t working in the puzzle realm.
However, in a strange way he couldn’t understand, his mind was brought to its full capacity by just appearing in this realm.
The moment Kent appeared before the stones, a voice echoed softly in his mind: “To unlock the truth, master the harmony of the elements. Align the stones in the order of creation’s birth, or be lost to the eternal forest.”
Kent’s pupils shrank for a moment before a smile appeared on his face.
Kent knelt, studying the runes carefully. He recognized symbols representing earth, water, fire, air, and spirit. The puzzle demanded not brute strength, but understanding.
He must gain an attunement to the natural flow.
“There was nothing, but then he created the heavens and the earth.”
Slowly, Kent reached out, touching the stone marked with earth. It pulsed warmly beneath his fingers.
He was asked to solve the puzzle by aligning the five elements in the order of Creation’s birth. Just so it happened, Kent is from Earth, where life and everything it contains were created.
Thus, he knew what had to come first.
“Water covered the surface of the entire earth.”
Next, he moved to water, feeling a cool ripple.
“Then the water was separated, making way for mountains and trees.” Kent smiled, “With trees, there can be Fire.”
The next stone he touched was Fire, which emitted a spark of energy.
He followed up with Air, which danced lightly, and finally, Spirit glowed softly.
As he placed the stones in sequence — earth, water, fire, air, spirit — a harmonious chime filled the clearing.
The runes flared brighter, and the circle of stones began to dissolve, revealing a glowing key hovering above the ground.
Kent took the key, and then he was back outside, now holding a glowing key. When the Life Emperors saw this, they were yet again struck with another shock, seeing Kent solve a puzzle they knew came with a realm within mere minutes.
They knew that puzzles that require one to enter a puzzle realm to solve are complex and, in most cases, require several months, some even years, to solve. However, Kent solved it in mere minutes.
Under their watchful gaze, Kent moved and touched the second box.
Just like what happened with the first box, he was pulled into the puzzle realm, appearing in front of three mirrors.
His reflection appeared inside each mirror, mirroring his posture and movements.
“One must know their true self and recognize their true reflection. The mirrors show what one wants to see, but can you spot who you are?”
The voice spoke again, revealing the purpose of the second puzzle.
“I must figure out which is my true self, and there is only one correct answer.” Kent sighed. “Who knows what will happen if I choose the wrong one?”
Kent paid close attention to the mirrors, looking intently at his reflections. A few minutes into the process, Kent noticed something that made him raise his brow.
“The mirrors show what one wants to see.” The sentence clearly said the mirror would show him what he wanted to see. So, it means that if he wills it, the mirror will show him what he wants to see.
“I want to see the real me.”
The mirrors flickered, and the reflections on them changed. They now stood still, staring at Kent with eyes that said so many things.
“Creepy.” The moment Kent met the gaze of the first reflection in the first mirror, he felt like a creep was staring at him. This made him smirk, then focus on the second reflection.
“My true self cannot be a creep.”
The second reflection, however, held a look of calm, peace, and tranquility.
“Tch, a goody two-shoes.” Kent laughed, unsure why something this bland was staring at him. He didn’t know why, but looking at the second reflection made him see the opposite of himself.
However, when he stared at the third reflection, he also felt that the evil and sadistic eyes looking at him could not be his.
“The mirrors show what one wants to see, yet I see not what I wanted.” Kent backed away and turned his back on the three mirrors.
“One is whole, one is unchanged, thus one cannot have a true reflection,” Kent spoke the words, then he turned and faced the mirrors. “None is my reflection because all is my reflection. I pick none.”
The mirrors hummed, then cracked, dispersing into specks of red, blue, and white light.
In their place, a shining golden key appeared.
Kent grabbed it, and then he was back outside, shocking everyone.
Everyone kept wondering just where this youngster came from, for the brilliance he was showing was one that nobody could understand.
However, while they were all wondering that, Kent walked to the third box and placed his hand on it. This time, he appeared before a river.
The water was blue, and there were small stones, jade white, lining the bank of the river.
Lying before him was a stone colored blue with runic markings all over it. He picked up the stone
“The stone of gods, the everlasting embrace of the light. The sea flows against the tide…” The voice paused, allowing Kent to continue the statement.
The last puzzle was about him completing the markings on the stone.
A smile appeared on Kent’s face, recalling a famous quote he once read from a humanitarian’s memoir back on Earth.
“And the wave comes to shore,” Kent ended the statement. The stone in his hand shone, and the third key appeared in his hand.
He appeared back outside. The moment he opened his eyes, the three keys flew from his hand and unlocked the three boxes, revealing three pieces of a scroll.
