After making his appearance in Manelaus, Kent didn’t immediately return to the sect.

Using the chaos caused by him, he reverted to his Jest persona and went to Farrah City, where he, in a not-so-subtle and inviting way, brought out his ladies to spend some time away from their missions.

They had been working really hard the past few months, so he wanted them to have some fun.

Kent made sure each of them arrived at different times, and when they had all arrived, he spent seven days going around the various places his ladies wanted to visit.

After accompanying them, he returned to the sect.

Old Sword would be ascending soon, and he planned to send him to Manelaus, from where he could then easily get to Planet Earia, which, according to what Kent had found out, was a hub for swordsmen and those looking to join powerful sects.

Kent made all the arrangements for him and was only waiting for him to be ready before handing everything over.

Naturally, he spent a couple of days talking to Lady Enzi and Liora, who was still thankful to Kent for setting her disciple straight.

Two weeks later, the time for Old Sword to ascend to a high world arrived.

Kent was cultivating on the abandoned mountain when Old Sword came to see him. Today was a big day for him, after all.

“You seem ready,” Kent said the moment his eyes landed on Old Sword.

“I am ready. I have tied up all loose ends and am now ready to ascend,” he said, walking over and sitting down beside Kent.

Kent sensed his aura and knew the man was indeed ready to get back out there. The medium worlds can’t contain him anymore.

“The sword manual I gave you is something you should pay very close attention to. It contains a method to re-comprehend your sword realm. But even before doing that, it will allow you to further strengthen your sword foundation.”

Kent threw a pouch at him.

“Inside is a key to a cultivation room in a city called Farrah. I have paid for 30 years. It has a powerful formation that will allow you to easily absorb the spiritual energy in the air to break through.

Use it to break through to the Spirit Ascension stage.

Once that is done, you can leave for Planet Earia. However, before then, learn at least one of the sword techniques I gave you, and please, strengthen your sword realm before going to that world.

You have 30 years paid for, so use the cultivation room well.

As for your final destination, which is Planet Earia, it is the strongest world in that alliance and the only place where you will get the best training as a swordsman.

Join a sect or wander around and sharpen your swordsmanship.

There are enough high-level spirit stones in there to keep you going for at least 100 years. The rest, you can handle on your own.”

Kent smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it. After all, we are sworn brothers, and it is only natural for brothers to help each other.”

Old Sword smiled faintly, knowing he was in no way wealthy enough to repay Kent in money, so he resolved in his belief, “Even still, one of these days, I will be sure to pay you back.”

“Then become strong. In fact, become so strong that long before you become an immortal, you will have the power to kill them.”

Old Sword could only smile and nod.

“Also, there are a couple of spirit fruits in there. Use them to strengthen your foundation and sell some if you need urgent money. After all, the place you are going is a Great High world—one mistake and your head will come rolling.”

After their talk, Kent gave Old Sword the method he had prepared for him to get to Planet Manelaus.

“This is a Tier 12 Array talisman. It contains a transfer array that will override the transfer channel of the ascension platform you will be using.

This means you can leave in the grand way you had planned. However, instead of taking you to the Legacy High World you had in mind, you will appear in a city called Farrah City on Planet Manelaus.

And before I forget, whatever you hear about Kent Madson, pretend you don’t know me. It is for your own good.”

Old Sword seemed surprised to hear that. However, he nodded and placed the warning at the center of his mind.

A couple of hours later, Old Sword was ready to go.

The sect Elders, from the Outer sect up to the Core sect, were all gathered to send him off, as they always do whenever a disciple or elder is ascending.

Also, some swordsmen from the Celestial Conclave alliance, of which Sonox is part, were there to send their friend off. It had already been in their plans that one day, when they were ready, they wouldn’t hesitate to ascend.

Their aim was, of course, a Great High world. However, most end up ascending to a Legacy High world and even stay there for as long as they can.

However, they knew Old Sword wasn’t going to a Legacy High world because they knew the kind of person he was.

Though he was ascending to a Legacy High World, they knew his main destination would be a Great High World, for that is where the best treasures and training can be found.

They all came to bid him farewell, as friends or even rivals. However, at the moment, they all are happy for Old Sword, for he had proven the path is not close for any of them.

“I am not going to give any grand speech before I leave, so don’t expect one. However, to all of you who have received my care package, study it well and practice, because, believe it or not, the path forward is what I have given you.

You have time, and with time, you have opportunities. Use this time to improve, and trust me, soon, you will be the one ascending.

I know you will all miss me, but don’t worry; by the time you catch up, I will become an immortal and take you all in as my disciples.”

Laughter burst out as everyone laughed at Old Sword’s joke.

“Old Sword, just so you know, I only lost the last duel because I had a backlash in that one skill I used. The next time we meet, I will be sure to defeat you,” the Bleeding Sword Emperor, one of Old Sword’s rivals, said with a faint smile.

Old Sword smiled and nodded.

“Old Sword, when you break through to the Spirit Ascension stage and restore your youth, be sure not to look as handsome as you did in your youth. As you already know, when it comes to who is the handsome one, I hold that title,” the Serene Wind Sword Emperor also spoke, making everyone shake their heads at his shamelessness.

Soon, more and more people said what they had to say.

“I will be sure to look forward to when you all appear in the worlds out there. Until then, I will be on my way.”

The elder in charge of the formation ascension platform activated the formation, causing a green light to illuminate the entire platform.

Old Sword smiled and began walking toward the formation. After taking a few steps, he paused and turned back, facing Kent, who stood somewhere at the back.

He nodded calmly at Kent, and Kent nodded back.

“Until next time…” With that, Old Sword stepped into the formation, and the next second, his body vanished.
