Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 990: Taming Quest (4)

Chapter 990: Taming Quest (4)
[Cinderhorn Plains – Domain of the Silver Flame Minotaur Monarch]
“These are flame crystals,” Sylvara pointed at chunks of silvery crystals on the ground. “They are highly explosive when overloaded with flame energy.
It is one of the valuables the adventurers from your world chase after if they manage to enter the inner region of the Cinderhorn Plains.”
Kent nodded, “If only they had the heart to enter the Core domain, they would have had a bountiful harvest.”
Sylvara nodded, already aware of the danger people like Kent go through even in the inner regions. Entering the core region is suicide.
Kent and Sylvara had just arrived directly in the Core region of the Cinderborn Plains, a rather vast plain of burning earth where silver flames harden into jagged crystals.
The land looks like a battlefield littered with glowing silver spears rising from the soil. These silver spears, of course, are the sought-after Silver flame crystals buried in the ground.
Kent waved his hand, and a silver flame crystal flew into his hand.
“Dense flame essence. With this, a flame user can easily strengthen their flame resistance and even practice flame skills by channeling the flame qi inside it.”
Kent tapped into his cultivation technique, and within ten seconds, he absorbed everything from it, turning the crystal into a mere stone.
Sylvara saw this and smiled, “Wait until you reach where Orvath stays. He has a mountain of these crystals there. In fact, his house is made from these crystals.”
Just when Sylvara spoke, a presence not any weaker than her true monarch form appeared in the distance and began approaching them.
Kent held a calm expression as he looked at the flaming figure speaking toward them.
Using his enhanced eyesight, he was able to see a brutish man with black hair, whose body seemed to be lit on silver flames, flying toward them. As he moved, his hair flowed in the air like waves.
He had silver horns, and his body was wrapped in flame-forged armor. Kent can tell that the armor is pure flame condensed into a solid form.
“Sylvara, I don’t suppose we are that related for you to barge into my domain with a stranger, no less,” Orvath spoke, his tone much deeper than a normal human would sound.
“Oh, please, don’t insult my intelligence, or you think I wouldn’t know you sent one of your lackeys to come spy on me?” Sylvara smirked.
“I was only concerned about your well-being, but since you are here, then I suppose I was worried for nothing.”
Orvath spoke to Sylvara, but his eyes were on Kent, who, despite the pressure he was releasing, held a rather calm look on his face.
Orvath may be a bull, but he was no idiot.
He hadn’t lived this long by relying only on his brute strength.
So without much deduction, he knew Kent was no simple human.
Even a part of him felt like the danger he sensed a couple of days ago was now staring him in the eyes.
“I didn’t come to waste your time, Orvath. I am only here to introduce Lord Kent to you. He has a proposal for you.” Sylvara stepped back, indicating she was done with what she had come for.
However, using her energy, she gave Orvath one last remark.
“He is no simple person, so do well not to offend him… trust me, I learned it the hard way.”
And with this, Orvath knew his suspicion was right. This made him change his tone and demeanor instantly.
Kent smiled as he gave Orvath an appraising look, “A sage body cultivator, just a step away from attaining Nirvana body, 29 limits broken, and even showing signs of breaking the first seal on your bloodline.”
Kent laughed and turned to Sylvara, “You never told me there is someone with the lineage of the Ancient Demon Bull Emperor.”
“I didn’t know he had such a bloodline,” Sylvara smirked, but deep down, she truly had no idea.
As for Orvath, his expression changed when he heard all Kent had to say about him.
’He got all this from a mere look. Just who is this person?’
Kent’s enchanted eyes had captured more than he expected, allowing him to get into Orvath’s head before he could build defenses against him.
“You, Mr, you have some potential buried deep within you. But fear not, I will help you unlock them eventually. However, as to whether that will happen, it will depend on your answer for my visit today.”
Orvath looked at Sylvara, but the latter turned away almost as if telling him, ’don’t look at me for answers, use your brute mind to figure things out yourself.’
He sighed and then turned toward Kent and asked.
“I would like to know what it will cost for this senior to help me.”
Kent smiled and moved toward Orvath, placing his hand on his shoulder, “No need to call me senior. We are practically brothers.”
Sylvara’s eyes widened when Kent suddenly appeared friendly toward Orvath.
She flashed Kent a look that said, ’dude, what the hell. You killed dozens of my people and even nearly killed one of my best friends.’
However, Kent just smiled and maintained his focus on Orvath, “I don’t want to make things hard for you, so I will go straight to the point.
I want you to become my subordinate. In return, I will help you break the 30th Limit, awaken your innate Beast Body, awaken a few innate talent abilities, and send you to a powerful Immortal world safely.
There are other perks which you will learn about after the contract has been signed.”
“And what would be required of me?” Orvath asked. “I may be a bull, but I am no fool. I know things like this come at a cost.”
“Hahaha, no need to think too hard, brother Orvath.” Kent laughed. “All I want is for you to hold back or kill the subordinates of someone very powerful.
I want him dead, but I can’t kill him with his subordinates helping him.
I promise you wouldn’t be facing this person, since even I wouldn’t allow you to.”
“Who is this person?”
“They call him the Planet King, but in my eyes, he is a bug with some abilities in him.”
Orvath looked at Sylvara, who this time gave him a nod.
“How sure are you of defeating him?” Orvath asked, and Kent grinned.
“Let’s just say if I fight him today, I will have a 40% chance despite not knowing how strong he is. However, if I were to fight him 100 days from today, then well, he will wish he hadn’t met me.”
Many people, including Orvath, may think Kent is bragging, but Sylvara, who had seen what Kent could do, knew he meant every word.
Of course, she completely trusted Kent now, so there was nowhere she wouldn’t follow him.
“Of course, if you accept my offer, I will extend it to six more subordinates under you. I am nothing if not generous.”
Orvath spent a couple of minutes in deep thought before giving Kent his answer.
“I accept your offer. However, I have a request.”
“Name it.”
“You wouldn’t order my subordinates against their will. If you accept this, I, along with my two guards, three Rulers, and one more subordinate, as you requested, will become your tamed beast.”
“I don’t mind. As long as you promise to help me in my battle against the Planet King by blocking his subordinates, you will get to live your life like you’re not even connected to me.”
Orvath nodded.
“You can come to my house and stay the night. My subordinates will come around tomorrow.”
Kent nodded and left with Orvath and Sylvara.
Orvath’s house was also a cave made inside a mountain of silver flame crystal.
“Woo, this place is a haven for flame cultivators.” Kent sat down in lotus posture and started absorbing the flame qi in the air.
In no time, he formed over a thousand flame veins, surpassing 30,000 flame veins, though nowhere near the 500,000 estimated by Agni.
The next day, Orvath’s six subordinates arrived.
