Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem - Chapter 1084: Above Valorian

Chapter 1084: Above Valorian
Above, the skies of Valorian were theirs.
Aurora’s crystalline barriers shimmered around them, forming a protective dome of light. Her enchantments wrapped each of them in a silken veil of protection, no gap left uncovered.
Beneath the shielding, Sylvaris’s silver pegasus constructs carried the women with grace, wings of gleaming argent light cutting through the night. They looked like a legion of angels circling high above the capital, except these beautiful angels were not here to bring any form of salvation.
At the front, Lyra and Kaelira rode like iron statues, unflinching as they scanned every shadow below. The pink-haired human’s eyes never stopped moving, searching for the slightest chance of danger. The blue-haired elf’s muscly frame was tense, coiled, ready to intercept anything that dared to try hurting her allies. Together, the two tankers formed a vanguard that would be hard to penetrate.
Meanwhile, in the back, not all was serene.
“You still haven’t apologized!” Ayame hissed darkly. Her sharp gaze cut toward Vex. “For saying I deserved to be sold into slavery by my own sister! Did you think you could hide behind Quinlan forever?!”
Yes, the oriental samurai was using their man’s absence to demand reparations.
However, the recipient of her words didn’t even glance her way. Vex’s hands had drifted up to her cheeks, which were flushed pink while her chest rose and fell faster and faster by the second. She stared at the ground far beneath them, where chaos was unfolding, lips trembling. Her eyes were sparkling, glowing with something unhinged.
“… Are you okay?” Ayame finally asked with a deadpan stare.
Vex’s head tilted to the side, and then it came. A girlish laugh, manic and breathless.
“Ahahaha!”
Ayame had to close her eyes for a moment to ascertain she was seeing reality. But even after she opened them again, Vex was still in the middle of having one of her unhinged, manic episodes. “You’re slipping even further toward insanity.”
But Vex’s arms spread wide, as though she wanted to embrace the entire capital beneath them. Her voice carried high, trembling with a thrill that shook her whole body.
“How could I not be exhilarated?! Look beneath us!” Her red eyes widened, gleaming with feverish ecstasy.
“This is Valorian! The gemstone of the most powerful human kingdom to have ever existed in the history of mankind! And we, just the few of us, are invading it! Not the long-standing syndicates, not the powerful enemy nations, no one has ever made it this far! But us, the Elysiar family! We are the first to have stormed the heart of the kingdom itself! We enslaved a royal guard, kidnapped the royal daughter, and we’ve got their king and queen running in circles! And we are still here, breathing and free, leading our armies into their sacred grounds!”
Her laughter rose again, wild, unrestrained, utterly mesmerizing in its madness. At least if one were to ask Quinlan for his opinion. If he were here to see her current expression, he’d be enthralled like there’s no tomorrow.
Vex’s hands found her heart where they rested as she shouted,
“This is my reality now! A life so fulfilling I couldn’t have even dreamed it!”
Her lovestruck eyes began to whirl, two orbs of bright red spiraling with mania.
Then her voice broke into a whisper, fragile yet bursting with love and devotion.
“And it’s all because of him…! Ahahaha!” With her hands above her heart, Vex’s entire body trembled. “I love him so much I can’t bear it!! It physically hurts!!!”
She ground her hips shamelessly against the silver construct she rode, shaking with her manic fervor from head to toe.
The women around the Hexwitch stared in a wave of deadpan looks that locked onto the display. For a moment, the only sound was the wind whistling past.
Then, one by one, muffled giggles started to slip through. Serika shook her head with a helpless smile while Lucille covered her lips to stifle a laugh, and even Ayame’s cheeks puffed as she fought to keep her composure.
Because no matter how insane Vex was, her words rang true. They were making history today.
And that truth painted every face with the same thing: contentment with what they already had, and excitement toward all that they would have in the future.
“Vexie will fall off her ride if she keeps… doing what she is doing…” Jasmine shook her head with a chuckle.
“Just let her be. She needs to let it all out,” Aurora sighed.
“Right…” Jasmine nodded and refocused. They couldn’t afford to waste time. Valorian wasn’t some defenseless city that had no counter measures for flying units. They were most likely already aware of their presence, their mounted knights must’ve been alerted by now if they weren’t on their way already.
However, one thing was clear: the defenders have become lax.
As Vex said, this city has never been besieged in the past, likely making its units overly relaxed. This was why no one gave chase to them yet, why no defensive artifact turrets have been activated. Their upkeep was enormous, and with the many scouts around the city, they would have ample time to activate them before any army reached here.
… Unless they mysteriously appeared inside the city’s wall from one moment to the next.
As for why the girls were even mounted high in the skies?
Mainly for Jasmine’s benefit.
The silver pegasus beneath the brown-haired woman steadied as she drew her attention downward. Her mercenary army was already in motion, marching with perfect synchronization through the capital’s cobblestone streets.
Unlike both monsters and humanoids, they bore no visible level. That was the first thing she noticed when they appeared. But based on their raw strength, their resilience, their speed… Serika and the others estimated them to be around level 40 each.
Still, that was misleading. They weren’t the same as humanoid fighters of the same level. These mercenaries had no classes, no spells, no flashy abilities. What they had instead was raw stat allocation, sturdy equipment, and something even rarer: flawless teamwork and utmost fearlessness. They fought like a single organism, every swing of a blade seamlessly backed by the shield of another. No gaps. No wasted movements. A perfect, brutal machine of war.
However, all of it had come at a price.
Ten thousand gold coins.
The cost gave her two hundred and fifty soldiers. And when they moved alongside Quinlan’s soul army, the total number at their command reached three hundred and fifty-two. Enough to blot out entire avenues of Valorian.
But unlike Quinlan’s forces, there was no hierarchy among her mercenaries. His elite souls acted as generals, commanding the lesser souls like seasoned officers. Her troops, on the other hand, were just a wall of disciplined infantry awaiting commands.
That didn’t mean they were mindless. They weren’t broken NPCs from some badly designed game, doomed to run headlong into walls. They could make decisions, reposition, and even adapt to threats. But without a leader, their discipline lacked focus.
So Jasmine took that role upon herself. From high above the capital skies, she issued commands. Her mental voice carried through the bond of summoning, instructing squads to hold intersections, form barricades, or tighten their formation.
Her class was still young, barely a week old since she’d begun leveling it up. As such, these were only the first soldiers it had given her. Just footmen, reliable but limited.
But classes grew. Classes evolved. If she kept leveling, it was only a matter of time before she could call forth captains, siege units, or perhaps even entire battalions at once.
Or so Jasmine hoped.
“I see a lot of enemy backs turned toward us…”
Serika’s voice sounded all of a sudden. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what she wanted.
“I agree.” Iris nodded in agreement.
“Is it time?” Lucille asked. She repeated the same question in the mental link, directly speaking to Quinlan’s mind.
<You can start, but don’t forget the risks.>
