Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem - Chapter 960: A Strange Group

Chapter 960: A Strange Group
A few hours after being rejected, Feng wandered aimlessly through the strange, sprawling territory that now served as Quinlan’s stronghold. Her arms were loose next to her sides, her feet kicked at loose stones, and her brows furrowed hard enough to rival mountain ranges.
Trailing behind her was Lyra, the mute shadow assigned to protect her.
“Stupid…” Feng mumbled under her breath, kicking another rock with more force than necessary. Her eyes shimmered.
But as she was busy cursing Quinlan out of this world, the girl’s steps slowed as suddenly she found herself standing near Rosie’s majestic fairytale-like tree.
That wasn’t what made her stop, however. Beneath the tree’s sprawling branches, sitting with her back against the trunk, was Iris.
That same cold-eyed, battle-worn woman Feng had briefly seen once before when she entered Quinlan’s Soul Realm alongside his lovers. She had her big, black blade resting against her shoulder, battle-ready even in her sleep.
Feng stiffened immediately.
’That’s… that scary woman!’
Her brows knit tighter. ’No… not his lover. At least… at least I don’t think so?’ Iris hadn’t joined in on the… uh… ’grand celebratory orgy’ going on right now.
With a quiet nod to herself, Feng spun on her heel. ’Best not to bother her.’
Or so she thought.
*Thud.*
Something soft and surprisingly heavy landed right on top of her head.
“W-what?!”
Her hands shot up, frantically patting at her head, looking to protect herself against whatever just jumped on her. But instead of some malicious monster, her fingers brushed soft, velvety fur.
Her gaze shot upward.
A cat.
A literal cat stared back at her.
Not just any cat, either: it was jet black, with fur darker than the midnight sky and eyes an unnaturally bright purple. Most strikingly, nine tails fanned behind it, shimmering brilliantly.
“What the hell is this?!”
The cat yawned, completely unbothered. “…My, my… Such a troubled little soul.”
…
It talked.
“Eh?”
Feng nearly toppled backward, hands flailing as she tried to get the creature off her head. “What do you want?! Get off!”
“Hmm…” the cat mused out loud before nestling further into her dark hair, showing it had no intentions of leaving. Its tails swayed lazily, but one of them moved to bonk her on the nose. “Tell me… Why is a child carrying so much in her heart?”
Feng wasn’t receptive to this conversation, evidenced by her screeching about the creature getting off of her again.
The cat let out the feline version of a sigh. “Noisy. As expected of the young.”
Without further ceremony, it flicked its tails and gestured toward the tree with all nine of them at once.
“Go,” it ordered.
“W-Why?”
“Don’t question your elders, rude brat.”
Feng’s brow twitched. She somehow couldn’t help but notice that the cat instantly started calling her a brat, just like Quinlan did after they met for the first time. The oriental teen couldn’t help but wonder if this female cat was his pet.
Also, based on the pet’s attitude, it was clear to the girl that she was ordered to chauffeur her to her desired location because she was too lazy to go on her own, which earned the cat a few more brow twitches.
She really, really didn’t want to obey some random cosmic cat, but her gut told her that ignoring this creature was a fast track to an existential crisis, or maybe just a literal smiting. Feng could tell by pure instinct that this being was way above her power level, even triumphing Quinlan’s or his white-haired wife’s might. Or so her senses told her.
“Fine…” Feng grumbled under her breath, dragging her feet toward the tree.
The cat, still comfortably nested atop her head, let out a pleased purr. “Good girl.”
“… Don’t call me that.”
As soon as she reached the base of the tree, the cat suddenly tensed.
Then *fwip!* it launched itself off Feng’s head, landing perfectly on one of the lower branches which just so happened to be right above Iris.
A shimmer of light enveloped it next. View the correct content at f.reewebn.ovel.co\m
Fur melted into skin. Tails folded inward. Midnight black fur transitioned into cascading waves of hair as silky as the night sky. Slender legs emerged, followed by pale skin. In a flash, the fox mistaken for a cat became a woman. She was tall, elegant, and mesmerizing. Her eyes, still the same vivid purple, shone like twin moons.
A pair of fangs poked past her lips as she yawned lazily.
Yoruha.
A being that radiated both casual mischief and terrifying might all at once.
Feng froze.
Utterly.
Completely.
Blank.
Her mouth opened slightly… then closed. Her brain offered nothing. No panic, no scream. Just… Error: Thought process not found.
Meanwhile, Yoruha perched cross-legged on the branch, absently twirling a lock of her hair. Her gaze dropped down to the motionless figure beneath her.
“Did we wake you?” she asked sweetly.
Iris didn’t even open her eyes. “Leave me alone.”
Yoruha chuckled, clearly delighted. “Oh dear… Maybe I should call you Grumpy.”
A strong sigh escaped the warrior. “Not in the mood, fox.”
“Of course you’re not.” Yoruha leaned her cheek into her palm, swinging her legs like a child might from a tree swing. “You never are.”
“I am armed,” Iris growled without moving.
“I’m aware,” Yoruha purred. “You’re always armed.”
Feng, meanwhile, still stood like a statue, lips parted. ’Did… did that cat just turn into another extraordinary bombshell? What… what even IS this place… Why are all the damned women around that man so hot?!’
Unbothered by Feng’s little crisis, Yoruha kept talking. “Honestly, young lady, your social skills are pure travesty. You should work on them.”
“Shut it.”
“I don’t think I will.” Yoruha chirped.
At that, Iris cracked one eye open and glared up with an extreme amount of scorn. “Just you wait. I’ll put you in your place soon.”
The foxkin didn’t flinch. Didn’t even blink. Yoruha simply tilted her head, flashing a grin so wide and vulpine it was practically illegal. “Oh? And how do you plan to do that, my dear?”
Suddenly, her eyes shot open, becoming wide, glowing, sparkling with unspeakable mischief. Her hands snapped up to her mouth in a dramatic gasp.
“Wait… don’t tell me…” Her voice dropped to a scandalized whisper. “You’re planning… to spread your legs… to welcome his Blessed Seed into your womb?! Well, I won’t judge… that XP boost must sound tantalizing to you youngsters…”
