Grimworld Tree was promptly interrupted by its master, Otis.

“Hold them for ten minutes! The next ten minutes are crucial. Whatever you have to do, hold them for ten minutes, but don’t invite doom from Grimverse.”

Grimworld Tree wanted to cry.

Half a minute later, it detected Almond and Lily entering the tower.

But now, all the rules were messed up, and the world was being destroyed, so all people were panicking.

Behind their backs, world-shattering battles were fought, and the result of those battles was a slow erosion of all functionality.

’Yeah, this is good.’ Levi’s voice rang in Almond and Lily’s minds.

’This tower is the central part, and also the best place to exit. Combine your powers and launch an ultimate attack.’

’An attack so powerful and infused with your will to break that it must resonate with Grimberse. If it doesn’t resonate, the final rules won’t break and we won’t be able to form an exit.’

Almond and Lily looked at each other and nodded.

’Squeeze every drop of your power, ignite and pour your entire will, and unleash an attack.’

’As long as we make an exit, we’ll be safe. Master John can instantly save us.’

“Well then, shall we start, darling?” Lily smiled as she conjured a long dagger in her left hand before positioning it to her left, beside Almond.

“Let’s do this.” Almond nodded and looked at both of his swords.

’The One Grim Blade.’ Almond’s eyes glinted.

Both swords floated from his hands and arrived in front of him before combining into a single sword, wide but thin, glowing with patterns intricately woven with black, white, and dark gold colors.

The One Grim Blade was Almond’s Grim Tree.

Using it, he could feel that it had some of its power, and it worked. He willed his Grim Weapon, which was a pair of swords, to turn into one with influence from his One Grim Blade, and it worked.

Almond grabbed his sword, resting it beside Lily’s Grim Weapon—Silent Edge of Corvalis, a long-curved dagger like a snake with moving black, silver, and crimson patterns like veins in clouds.

Both of them began channeling their powers while their souls were connected for faster communication.

They needed to create a combo technique that used both of their powers to unleash the greatest force ever.

Almond used his Grim Tree—The One Grim Blade.

He could create individual blades with unique effects. Like severing thoughts, severing speed, severing defense, and such.

Naturally, he created more complex blades by imbuing his understanding from various elements, concepts, powers, and experience he had gained to create six blades.

The power of all those blades was applied to his sword.

Lily also used her Grim Tree power—Dreadolon of Myriad Doom.

Mark of Doom was similar in that she could create up to marks that could be applied to targets upon contact with her attacks. Those marks applied powerful debuffs and status ailments that Lily had woven herself.

So far, she has created five marks based on all of her understandings of various powers and the experience she has gained so far.

Technically, they had not lost their Abilities tree’s conceptual powers and Intents. It’s just that they were simply too weak to be on the radar of Grimverse.

Those ability trees’ conceptual powers and their intents couldn’t affect their current techniques that much, but they still had an understanding of those powers, and they could use that to create powerful techniques.

As Almond and Lily were preparing, Grimworld Tree was panicking.

It sent monsters there, but both Almond and Lily were simply too powerful after they acquired two True Concepts.

Almond had Grim-Fated Cut and Oblivion.

He simply erased all monsters before they could even come within a kilometer of him with a thought.

Lily had Shadowed Chrono Lights and Achromatic.

She made it impossible for the monsters to even approach them anymore. All monsters within ten kilometers of her were struck by strange lights that slowed their movement, action, and even the flow of their energies while also sealing their senses shut.

So none of them had the slightest chance of surviving Almond’s Grim-Fated Blade.

Suddenly, all people in the Grimworld got a notification.

[ The world is ending because of Regalons. Everyone but them will die. ]

“What?!”

“No way. It’s not true, right?”

“WHAT’S GOING ON?!”

“Please save us!”

Most of the people were hiding in the Tower, but the tower was also starting to crumble as black spots of destructive chasm randomly appeared.

In the lower floors of the tower, a bunch of elves consisting of five different species and cyborg humans were gathered.

The cyborg humans were led by Haraven Elvergarde, who was Neo’s son, and Zanathriel Umbraaris Midnight, the dark elf king.

They had chased Regalons with their all, but now there was a road for their chase.

“Father…is he still with them?” Haraven looked up at the ceiling that was half eaten by a black rift.

Zanathriel suddenly stabbed his sword into the ground and roared. It was filled with helplessness, frustration, and despair.

The world was ending, and there was nothing they could do.

Their enemies, Regalons, were the ones responsible, and they were going to escape.

Zanathriel lived in fear because Regalons were powerful, and he always thought that Almond would come for him because of what happened in the third layer.

But now, they were leaving just like that.

In the eyes of Almond, he was too insignificant.

[ Do you all wish to become immortal and become one with me to help me stop the Regalons? The choice is up to you. Either let those two succeed and die, or help me stop them. ]

’I will not let you succeed.’ Grimworld Tree burned with fury and determination.

Technically, it could still not directly kill people and use them. That was one of the core rules. Once it was broken, Grimverse would instantly annihilate the Grimworld Tree.

But he could bypass that rule by giving the choice to the people.

Grimworld Tree wanted the power of people, turning them into pure energy and gathering their will, which would be filled with grievance and hate to fuel its power.

A harrowing visage appeared before Almond and Lily.
