Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class - Chapter 587: Rich

Chapter 587: Rich
Both got 100,000 Anchor Points and 1 x Mystery Treasure Chest.
After arriving back at their home, the Celestial Garden Estate, the first thing the duo did was to open the treasure chest.
Almond opened his first.
[Congratulations. You have acquired a 7-star neutral card—Crystal Formation]
“Crystal Formation?” Lily blinked.
[Crystal Formation]
Card Quality: 8-star
Cost: 10 to ?? Pulse, depending on the amount of energy formed into crystals.
Effect:
—> Turn energies into crystallized form.
“So, like this?” Almond released some Pulse and used the card, turning the pulse into a Pulse Crystal.
“Interesting. This way, it basically stores the energy.” Lily raised her eyebrows.
“Yeah, this is good. We won’t need to worry about Pulse recovery. And it can be used to store different types of energies.”
“Alright, let’s see what I get.”
Lily opened her mystery treasure chest next.
[Congratulations. You have acquired a 5-star card—Inverted Mirror]
[Inverted Mirror]
Card Quality: 5-star
Cost: 100 Pulse.
Effect:
—> Absorbs projectiles to a certain threshold depending on your Will stat, converts them into opposite attributes, and releases them back.
—> If the absorbed projectiles cross a threshold, the mirror will break.
“Well, the treasure chest rewards aren’t that impressive.” Lily blinked. “Though the card will fetch a good price if I sell it.”
“Yep. Let’s go to the market and sort our resources as well.” Almond nodded. “We’ll keep stuff that will increase our stats and help us break through, and Tier-10 resources for our arsenal of power,s and sell the rest of the stuff.”
…
Almond and Lily went to the market.
The total resources they managed to earn in the S-rank game were no small amount.
78 x Tier-5 resources.
64 x Tier-6 resources.
67 x Tier-7 resources.
73 x Tier-8 resources.
59 x Tier-9 resources.
27 x Tier-10 resources.
The price of Tier-5 resources ranged from 1000 to 10,000, depending on their.
Tier-6 resources cost from 5000 to 15,000.
Tier-7 resources cost from 10,000 to 30,000.
Tier-8 resources cost from 20,000 to 50,000.
Tier-9 resources cost from 30,000 to 80,000.
And Tier-10 resources cost from 50,000 to 100,000.
This was the official price from the layer itself.
If one wanted to sell their stuff quickly instead of waiting for actual customers, they could just go to the city market handled by the NPCs.
They may be living people souls, but they were not players and were likely created to handle non-player places that this world established.
First, Lily put up a temporary stall in the players’ market, costing her 1000 Anchor Points per day, and put up the neutral card she got for sale.
In just a minute, the stall was overcrowded with people wanting to buy the card, making bids on their own.
The card was indeed powerful, after all. It’s just that Almond and Lily had way better powers in their arsenal than that measly reflective mirror.
They managed to get into an S-rank game without obstacles, but that wasn’t the case for everyone.
There being only one winner per game made it such that the majority of the players constantly failed to win the games.
Rombe and Tofen hadn’t seen SSS-rank and X-rank potential people forever. Almond and others were the first ones.
So it was clear that people with utterly powerful decks like Almond and others were rare.
At least, rare in this Layer 2.
…
In the end, Lily sold the card for 120,000 Anchor Points. A group of four split the cost to buy it, even though only one could use it.
But for them, it could be a game-changer since they played in multiplayer games like Almond and Ainen, so winning a game together would reward all of them.
Afterward, Almond and Lily went to sell the resources in the NPC market.
They kept Tier-10 resources for now, not selling a single one of them.
Almond mainly wanted to use them as a catalyst to resurrect the rest of his Spirit Lords.
Lily could also use some to evolve her Dreadlings.
They also kept some resources of each Tier that could increase their stats, like the ones they had acquired in layer 1.
The Anchor Points they earned amounted to a total of 6,326,500.
They were at Tier-3, but didn’t have Tier-3 or Tier-4 resources to increase the stats, so they bought those and went back.
Ainen and others had yet to return as they were still in their S-rank game.
Almond and Lily began absorbing resources.
In ten minutes, they reached the peak Tier-3 and broke through to Tier-4.
The requirement to break through to Tier-4 was having one’s body refined using Pulse to awaken the Geneline pulse dormant within one.
Almond and Lily had Regalon Geneline, but it was gone once they arrived in this otherside.
Naturally, it wasn’t removed. After all, their race was based on the geneline. But it basically became dormant due to not being able to express its powers in this otherside where the laws and everything were dictated by something completely different.
To make the Geneline adapt to this world, one first had to die when breaking through to Tier-2 to reform their body, then form Pulse Core when breaking through to Tier-3, and then refine the body to awaken the dormant geneline when breaking through to Tier-4.
As such, the duo began refining their body in the garden while sitting on the soft cotton mattresses of the plants.
…
The other Regalons were also getting stronger at different places.
Aside from Almond and Lily, a few other groups had arrived in Layer 2, settling in different cities without being able to contact each other.
All of them were in pairs like Almond and Lily, and were participating in games to earn Anchor Points.
Rudra was with Aryan, his son, and both of them were currently participating in their 3rd A-rank game.
Rudra had X-rank potential, while his son had SSS-rank potential, and given their True Concepts, there was no surprise about the potential of their decks.
Aside from these two, the others who had arrived in Layer 2’s different cities were Silvester, Hiroshi, Viktor, Bianca, Liang, Theo, Paloma, Zauna, and Christina.
The rest of the five old monsters—James, Aarav, Rafael, Aamir, and Annika were still in layer 1.
Natalia and other young generations, as well as Liam, Ruyi, and other guild master generations were also on layer 1.
Unlike Almond and Lily, who went up right after reaching Tier-2, the others took their time breaking through more before ascending.
Everyone was moving at their own pace.
