Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 427: Reaching Out

Chapter 427: Reaching Out
Alright… How do I use this thing? Rael thought, looking at the purple glass sphere in his right palm.
It didn’t look that special at first, but since it cost 10 billion Trell, it was definitely not a scam.
…Right?
“I think you have to press that button there,” Melina chimed in, pointing at the sphere.
He wasn’t sure what she was talking about, and even with Primordial Sight, he still couldn’t see anything.
But just then, Melina let out a sigh and proceeded to reach her hand out toward the Spatial Communication Bubble.
Then, as if she was some kind of magician, she tapped a small button on the side, one Rael hadn’t even noticed.
“…?” Rael tilted his head. Am I just blind?
[Nope, this is a Spatial Communication Bubble made for wives to check whether their spouses are cheating or not,] Burger said plainly. [Basically, men can’t open it unless a woman is around. It’s… a weird device.]
Rael wasn’t going to question how Burger knew about it, but even so, it was a blessing Melina was beside him.
Otherwise, he might’ve accidentally wasted 10 Billion Trell.
Anyhow…
“It says you have to hold it tightly and think about the person you care about,” Melina said, handing over the item to him.
Rael thanked her with a nod and held the sphere before closing his eyes.
He thought of the first time he had met Zafira, which was during her coronation where she proceeded to jail him shortly after.
But despite that, she came down into the jail and brought him back to the palace. She even gave him some food and had a surprising conversation where she offered to become friends.
And from then on came the marriage, their heart-to-heart date, even the moment they confessed to each other and spent their first night together.
Their relationship blossomed within a few months, but to Rael, it felt like he knew her longer than that, which, if he used his past life’s knowledge, was indeed the case.
But the current Zafira was much different from the Zafira he used to know, and because of that, the feelings he had for her were completely genuine.
He filled the sphere with his memories of Zafira. Her habits, her quirks, her funny remarks, and even a few goofy sides he had come to know about.
With each passing moment, the air around Rael seemed to contort, causing Melina to be pushed back slightly.
She spoke a few words, but Rael couldn’t hear her as he was too focused on channeling his thoughts into the sphere.
The sphere began to tremble, feeling as though it was about to shatter in his hands, and because of that, Rael was forced to reopen his eyes.
And to his surprise, the sphere in his palm had turned pitch black, and a moment later, a glowing hologram appeared right above the sphere, displaying a blurry sight.
But with each passing second, the blur began to fade, and in the end, he saw a white-haired woman effortlessly slaying monsters, and of course, it was none other than Zafira.
And… Lilith is beside her too, Rael thought with an amused look. I definitely didn’t expect those two to get along.
They continued fighting a monster, when all of a sudden, Zafira halted.
She was about to turn around, but the monster she had been fighting struck down on her, leaving her no choice but to return the strike.
Yet almost as if she was done playing games, Zafira slashed with all her strength, splitting the colossal monster in two, earning a pout from Lilith.
“Hey, why’d you kill it? It was a good punching bag,” Lilith complained. “Plus, big tits over by the side told us to spare the monsters of this land or someone will come down and beat us up.”
Zafira scoffed. “Couldn’t you tell she was joking? She just didn’t want to clean up after us.”
Lilith’s raised a brow. “Huh… Fair enough. Though why’d you stop? It’s unlike you to get distracted while in battle, even if the monster is weak.”
Zafira was about to reply, but that was when her gaze traveled to the side, and to her surprise, there was a small sphere hovering in the air, displaying the hologram of a handsome platinum-haired man.
“Hmm…” Zafira pointed at the hologram, then turned to Lilith. “Do you see this?”
“Aha… So it’s that time of the month where you start seeing things, then?” Lilith shook her head and clicked her tongue. “I’ll wait in the house, do what you gotta do and try not to speak with your imaginary friends… You’re embarrassing me in front of the rabbits.”
With those words Lilith vanished from sight, leaving Zafira all alone, staring at the hologram.
She walked up to the hologram and extended her hand, as if trying to touch it.
But that was when Rael finally cleared his throat and spoke, making her freeze on the spot.
“It’s been a very long time, Zafira,” Rael said calmly. “I’m sure you don’t remember me, but—”
“Rael?” Zafira cut him off, her eyes wide. “You’re Rael, right?”
“…?”
Rael’s heart beat out of his chest as he sat upright, his lips trembling.
“Yes, I’m Rael… Do you remember me?”
Her expression seemed to ease up significantly as she plopped down onto the ground, almost as if the weight of this realization had zapped all her strength away in an instant.
“Rael… Rael… I knew I was right,” Zafira mumbled, glancing back at the hologram. “When Lilith arrived, something strange happened…”
She rolled back her sleeve, revealing her wrist, which was riddled with hundreds of scars, with only three coherent letters being seen.
The letters ‘Rae.’
However, there were also dozens of letters carved into her skin, but one letter in particular, the letter ‘L,’ completed Rael’s name.
His heart ached at the sight, and the worst part was, it all could’ve been avoided if he’d just reached out sooner.
