Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 433: A Little Too Strong

Chapter 433: A Little Too Strong
<Ding!>
Rael’s vision blurred slightly as his eyes began blinking on their own.
Yet with each blink, it seemed like the man got closer and closer until, eventually, he was right in front of Rael.
He wore no armor, just a leather jacket, yet his muscles were far more compact than Rael’s. It almost reminded him of those people who trained in calisthenics in his old world.
Rael tried his best to calm down and inspect the man, but he wasn’t able to.
The man tapped Rael on the shoulder, and in the next instant, Rael’s vision turned dark.
He lost all feeling in his body and he couldn’t even hear Burger’s usual, annoying groaning.
It was almost like he had been killed.
But he knew that whatever was happening wouldn’t be this painless if he were actually being killed.
Therefore, Rael waited for his vision to return, and after what felt like minutes, it finally did.
He found himself sitting in the center of the cathedral, in front of a massive table with dishes of all sorts scattered around.
Rael rubbed his temples swiftly, easing the headache as he glanced to the side.
He spotted Melina sitting beside him, looking even more wary than he was. Yet she didn’t even look back at Rael. Instead, her gaze was locked onto the figure on the other side of the table.
It was the scarlet-eyed man, and like before, he completely disregarded their presence as he rested his elbow on the table and, with his remaining hand, scooped up a spoonful of green liquid and then drank it.
—Sluuuurp
“…”
Rael was about to say something when, finally, he felt his mind clearing up.
That wasn’t very nice, Rael thought, still spooked by what just happened. Burger, you still with me?
[Sadly, my self-preservation instinct kicked in, so you’re on your own. May you survive so your Dragon Heart doesn’t go to waste. See ya~] Burger replied, and a moment later…
<Burger, Herald of Forgotten Kings, has returned to the Spirit Realm>
You fucking bastard, Rael complained inwardly, but in the end, there was nothing he could do.
So, like the mature person that Rael was, he was going to piss off Burger during training, and he would do so by nailing every single instruction on the first try.
But having put that aside, Rael had a more pressing matter at hand, and that was the man across the table who continued slurping on his soup, not uttering a word.
Now that Rael had calmed down, he decided it was time he inspected the man in front of him, and what he saw left him a bit startled.
—Adam, The Scarlet God [Grade 6 Tyrant Class | Level 249] – Vitality: Tier 22 [100% / 100% HP]
Grade 6… Rael gulped audibly.
A Grade 5 would be considered a Demi-God, and a Grade 6 was a literal God that was on the same level as Anubis.
In fact, he was even stronger than Anubis, since while she was King Class, he was Tyrant Class.
So, in short, Rael was in a bit of a situation at the moment, but for the sake of not being instantly killed, he remained quiet.
One by one, Adam finished the dishes, and yet, with every single dish that he finished, he scooted closer toward Rael and Melina.
In just a few short minutes, he had arrived in the seat to the right of Rael, and now, Adam was simply eating a chicken drumstick.
He pushed his black hair behind his ear, then pointed the drumstick at Rael before finally breaking the eerie silence.
“I heard your conversation with Claudius,” Adam remarked in a cold voice. “You seem to be under the impression that this is a regular dungeon, do you not?”
“Hmm… Not anymore,” Rael replied plainly. “The moment I remembered that this dungeon was locked up in Solenne’s vault is when I realized it was probably in there for a reason.”
He took a deep breath and met Adam’s gaze.
“So I assume you’re the reason, then?”
Adam smiled. “I am both the reason and the cause of that vault existing in the first place.”
Despite Adam seeming extremely intimidating, Rael could only partially take him seriously because he was waving the drumstick around like some newborn in a cradle.
Anyhow…
Fuck whoever wrote Grade 2~4 dungeon difficulty for starters, Rael thought. And what is up with this guy? He seems way too relaxed.
Of course, neither Rael nor Melina was a threat to him, so that was probably why.
Even so, Adam finished eating his drumstick, and then he tapped the bone on the table, causing all the plates to suddenly vanish.
And with that, Adam leaned back in his seat and kicked his feet up on the table before giving Rael a nod.
“What is your name?” Adam asked.
Rael’s brows twitched. “You can call me Rael.”
“Rael, huh? Can’t say I’ve heard of you before,” Adam replied with a chuckle. “You seem fairly strong for your Grade, but you don’t look like someone capable of invading the vault built to seal me.”
“You were on the front shelf,” Rael blurted out, then inwardly facepalmed. “But you did say the vault was built for you… So who are you exactly?”
“My identity is unimportant at the moment,” Adam said, narrowing his eyes. “Was the key to this cathedral truly on the front shelf?”
“…It was,” Rael replied truthfully. “I tossed it into my inventory because I was going to clear this dungeon eventually, and today just so happened to be the day.”
However, Adam didn’t seem to be listening, and instead, he began mumbling under his nose.
“Has Solenne forgotten about me…?”
