Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 439: The Welcome

Chapter 439: The Welcome
“Hmm… I will hold back then,” Chop-E replied, stashing away the katana.
Rael let out a relieved sigh. “Great… But hey, does that sword have some sort of spatial cracking effect?”
“No, it doesn’t,” Melina chimed in with a slight frown. “I only gave the sword to this cute monster because it looked useless. It had no special stats except for its extremely high durability… Even my curved sword is better.”
“Seriously…?” Rael muttered. “So did he just give you a trash sword? No… Since even Claudius wielded it, and Adam used it as a key, there must be some special effects. Maybe you’re not worthy of it or something?”
Melina’s brows twitched. “I’ll have you know, despite my appearance, I’m a good swordswoman. I can tell when a sword is great, and not only is that katana dull, but it’s also not very comfortable to hold.”
She extended her hand, revealing faint pricks on her skin, clearly caused by the katana’s poor hilt.
“I see…” Rael sighed, turning to Chop-E, who was completely unfazed. “How about you? Do you like the sword?”
“…”
“I like it,” Chop-E replied.
At times like these, Rael really wished he couldn’t see past lies, because for the first time in forever, a construct had lied to him.
However…
I wouldn’t normally be happy about something like this, but this just means there’s a way to make them more real, Rael thought with a smirk and decided not to push that topic further.
Instead, it was about time they actually made their move into the Hollow Kingdom itself.
“Let’s not attack right away,” Rael said. “We’re going to enter the capital and request an audience with their ruler. If he refuses to hand the territory over peacefully, then we attack.”
“I really hope there’s more to this plan than what you’re telling me now,” Melina remarked, rubbing her temples.
Rael chuckled and raised a single finger. “Don’t worry, this plan doesn’t have to be layered. All we need to think about is how to attack, and how to escape. Naturally, you are stronger than me, so I will support you.”
“I have a way to make Ignatiel vulnerable for a bit, so don’t hesitate when I tell you to attack him,” he said and raised a second finger. “If the situation becomes uncontrollable and we’re forced to retreat, follow my lead.”
There was one giant-ass silver tree in the middle of the Hollow Kingdom, and while there was no information about it, Rael was sure that it was important.
So fighting near it would be akin to fighting while holding hostages, which in turn would give Rael and Melina… and Chop-E the advantage they needed.
“Straightforward plans are always best, though I can’t help but feel uneasy,” Melina replied. “But I guess if we don’t know the plan, there’s no way our enemy will know either, right?”
“…”
That’s one way of looking at it.
They discussed the plan for a few more moments, mostly how they were going to fight side by side.
As for Chop-E, he wasn’t very talkative, but his role was simple.
He would deal with the Grade 2 and Grade 3 fighters.
With his current stats, it would be extremely easy to do so, and Rael wouldn’t have to worry about Chop-E pulling his weight.
Therefore, with everything said and done, the three of them swiftly jumped off the mountain peak and began making their way toward the Hollow Kingdom’s capital, Indra.
.
.
.
It didn’t take them long to arrive, and now, they stood in front of the giant capital city that looked as extravagant as the first time Rael had seen it.
There were floating carriages, and they seemed to be moving in and out of the city.
Yet for some completely unforeseen reason, the carriages were floating toward a certain Dimensional Shop that just so happened to sell everything at a reasonable price, created by yours truly.
I can’t wait to see my profits tomorrow, Rael thought with a smirk.
At the same time, this burst of commerce gave Rael and the others an opportunity to enter the city unnoticed.
Or that was supposed to be the case…
“Halt,” a cold and detached voice rang out from a watchtower to the side, belonging to a white-armored soldier.
Rael couldn’t hear a heartbeat, nor could he sense any emotions or outer thoughts, which meant that this soldier, like many of the other soldiers of the Hollow Kingdom, was nothing but a puppet.
Even so, the soldier made his way down the watchtower and approached them.
“You three don’t seem to be a part of Indra. May I get your names?” the soldier asked politely.
“I don’t really want to share my name. Is there any other way we could get around this?” Rael replied.
Right as the soldier was about to turn him down, Melina stepped forward and parted her jacket, revealing the green hair and green-eyed symbol he had seen on the flags back in Elmlot.
“I am the ruler of the Unified Kingdom of Elmlot, Malinali Liesa, and I seek a direct audience with the ruler of the Hollow Kingdom, Ignatiel Vendros,” Melina stated with a noble look.
Yet the soldier only looked at the badge for a moment before shaking his head.
“I’m afraid forging a badge is very easy. Because of that, I must take you to jail. However, I will relay your message to the king directly, as you do share some similarities to Malinali Liesa,” the soldier said, then turned around.
“Follow me.”
With that, he began walking slowly toward the city, clearly expecting that Rael and the others would follow.
“May I suggest elimination?” Chop-E said flatly.
“I second that,” Melina chimed in.
“Uh… Maybe later,” Rael replied immediately. “Every time I end up in a jail cell, I come out with a lot of boons.”
Had he not been in a jail cell last time, he likely wouldn’t have become acquainted with Zafira.
So because of that…
“Let’s cooperate for the time being. If the ruler doesn’t show up within an hour, we can start with our plan.”
