Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 448: The Swap

Chapter 448: The Swap
The moment Melina heard those words, her eyes widened.
“You are…?” Melina mumbled, then turned toward Rael’s main body.
After doing a quick sweep with her mana, she realized he was unconscious, and only then did she turn back toward him with a flustered look.
“You can control minds? Or I guess, bodies? Just who are you exactly?” Melina asked warily.
But instead of replying, Rael only gave her a quick chuckle before glancing at his main body.
He wasn’t sure how to go about it, but he tried anyway.
Rael pointed at his main body and thought something stupid.
I want to transfer the Hollow Kingdom to that guy… Does that even make sense?
<Ding!>
<Are you sure you wish to transfer the management of the Hollow Kingdom over to: Unnamed>
<Yes / No>
Uhh… Rael stared at the pop-up, confused. Is it really that simple? What if someone mutters this while asleep?
He was pretty sure there were some failsafes in place, but since he hadn’t triggered them, Rael simply pressed “Yes.”
And in the next instant…
<Kingdom: Hollow Kingdom>
[Rulers: Unnamed Pay To Win Boss Monster]
★Trell Gained (Rulers’ Share) Monthly: 1,000,000,000,000 Trell Trell
—Population: 951,922
Taxpayers: 949,990
Army Size: 0
★Main Sources of Income: Obedience/Taxes
Average Monthly Income: 1,588,959,889,124 Trell
Monthly Expenditure: 588,959,889,124 Trell
★Actual Average Monthly Income: 1,000,000,000,000 Trell Trell
Fucking hell… Rael thought with a surprised look. 1 Trillion per month? Wait… I’ll share it 50/50 with Melina, but that’s still 500 Premium Coins per month. With the other territories combined, it’s likely going to be way over 1,000 Premium Coins.
And that was just from management alone.
He also had the Greed Premium Perk, which would basically give him several hundred million trell every day, and with this? Maybe even a few billion.
Then there’s my Dimensional Shop… My custom dungeon… I really need to up my game if I want to make more money.
Because, at most, Rael was likely going to generate 40–60 Premium Coins per day, which was nowhere near enough.
Even so, he put that aside as he began feeling some resistance in his mind, almost like Ignatiel was trying to retake control.
But to stop that, Rael did one simple thing, and that was to raise the greatsword above him and let it fall.
Rael closed his eyes as the greatsword fell down on him, and despite his unwillingness to feel the pain, he didn’t want to risk Ignatiel reacting in time after Rael canceled the skill.
Therefore, the crushing pain of his brain being sliced open, followed by the rest of his body, ensued.
But as expected, it didn’t last long, as just a moment later…
<You have died!>
<…>
<Synaptic Hijack has been finished…>
Soon enough, Rael regained control of his main body. The moment he did, he saw Ignatiel fall with his entire body cut in two.
A shocked expression was plastered on his face, but since he was already dead, Rael didn’t bother with him anymore, only watching as his blood dyed the marble floors red, seeping into the cracks.
Melina slowly turned her head toward him, her expression wary as she pointed her curved sword at him.
“Is this how you got Silas to agree?” Melina asked, narrowing her eyes. “Did you do something like that to me as well?”
“Are you trying to say I went inside your mind and convinced you to help me?” Rael replied, raising his brow. “Don’t you think that’s a little stupid?”
Before she could even reply, Rael continued.
“Also, thanks for nothing. I told you to trust me and kill that guy, but you didn’t even move,” he said. “If I didn’t do something, then we would’ve been screwed.”
Melina’s brows twitched. “His guard was up, and it seemed powerful. I don’t trust you enough to recklessly lunge at an opponent who’s not only stronger than me but is also on guard.”
“I’m too weak, sorry, Rael,” Chop-E chimed in with a curt bow. “I believe with my powers, I wouldn’t have been able to even pierce his body.”
“That’s fine,” Rael replied. “I don’t blame you, Chop-E, nor do I blame Melina. But Melina, you should know that I’ve been nothing but sincere with you ever since we met, so if you have any grievances, speak them now.”
With that, a moment of silence ensued, and it was for two different reasons.
For one, Melina didn’t trust him.
And second, Rael knew that killing Ignatiel was only the start of his problems, since there was an entire Hollow Throne selection ahead of him, as well as the warning Ignatiel gave in the Mind Realm about the Law Monsters.
Not only that, there was Lucien and he was someone Rael didn’t even know how to begin to fight against.
He could control minds and thoughts with only a few words, and that was something Rael couldn’t even come close to doing just yet.
But despite that, he quickly did a few things to solve some trust issues.
<Are you sure you wish to transfer partial management of: Hollow Kingdom, Aurenthia over to: Malinali Liesa>
<Yes / No>
<Confirmed…>
The moment he finished that, Melina lowered her guard but still stared at him skeptically.
“Hey… If you could do all of this by yourself, why even tell me to be here in the first place?” she asked.
Rael shrugged. “I didn’t know his mind was so weak. If I did know, however, then our first meeting would’ve been much different.”
Noticing that he had accidentally threatened her, Rael let out a sigh.
“It’s your turn now.”
“Before I do, I want you to promise me something,” Melina said. “Whatever happens… don’t ever go inside my mind. Understood?”
“Seems reasonable to me, sure,” Rael replied with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
After all, if she was affected by Lucien as much as Rael was expecting, then he would have no choice but to eventually take a tour around her mind.
But she didn’t have to know that.
So with that, she tapped the air several times, and less than a second later, an interface appeared in front of him.
<Kingdom: Unified Kingdom of Elmlot>
[Rulers: Unnamed Pay To Win Boss Monster, Malinali Liesa]
★Trell Gained (Rulers’ Share) Monthly: 2,398,124,478,049 Trell [2,398 Premium Coins] (1,199,062,239,024 Trell [1,199 Premium Coins] per ruler)

★Actual Average Monthly Income: 2,398,124,478,049 Trell [2,398 Premium Coins]
“…?”
“My kingdom is fairly wealthy,” Malinali said, scratching her cheek in embarrassment.
All the while, Rael was still trying to process how her kingdom was nearly three times richer than the Hollow Kingdom.
But despite that, silence descended upon the room as Rael glanced through all his controlled territories before finally calculating his monthly earnings.
<Total personal gain from all territories: 2,343,126,798,970 Trell [2,343 Premium Coins]>
In short, he might’ve scammed her a little.
After all, they were now making 2,343 Premium Coins each every month, whereas Melina used to make 2,398 Premium Coins on her own.
Still, Rael figured she’d use this chance to grow the kingdoms instead of dwelling on meager losses.
And it seemed like he was right, as when he turned toward her, he was met with a relieved smile.
She glanced around the room, ignoring Ignatiel’s corpse, and then she finally spoke.
“So what now? We became the rulers of—”
<Ding!>
<You are now ruling over the Sathmir Continent>
<All ### monsters of the Depths have been notified>
<Please prepare yourself…>
“Hmm…”
Well, shit.
