Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 466: The Single Punch

Chapter 466: The Single Punch
Shit… No, it’s fine, Rael thought to himself.
However, just as he began to gather his mana, the recently healed wound in his chest suddenly caught on fire.
It hurt even more than when she had shoved her hand into his chest, but despite that, Rael bore through it and focused on his heart.
Draconic Neuroweb’s Neural Collapse… Let’s try that one… Rael thought, casting the Neural Collapse skill on his heart.
He didn’t stop there and moved on to cast Blood Blade.
He mixed the two together, and right as they began to scramble out of control, Rael finally merged them, forming a completely new skill.
It was similar to Premium Fusion, but without the added money cost.
Even so, he wasn’t sure how he should go about casting the skill. In fact, he didn’t even know how the skill actually worked.
Though, if this is what I think it is, then I might have something…
He had an idea that just might work, although it was a tad bit reckless.
He sent the new skill straight into his right eye and gazed at Vatyra, whose entire body was covered in flames. Feathers began to sprout from the waist down, similar to a harpy.
When Rael finally gathered the entire skill into his eye, he released it, aiming for Vatyra’s own eyes.
The moment that skill left his body, Rael’s right eye exploded. The impact tore off nearly half of his face. The pain was excruciating, to the point where his breathing had stopped for a moment. However, just as quickly, that injury healed, not leaving behind even a single scar.
And in that very same instance, he heard a faint groan coming from in front of him.
The flames parted slightly, revealing Vatyra’s figure. To his surprise, her right eye had exploded as well, but unlike him, it didn’t blast away half her face.
Yet that moment of surprise and vulnerability was enough for Rael to kick off the ground with all his strength and arrive on her right side moments before her eye regenerated.
Using that vulnerability, Rael threw an extremely fast jab at the right side of her face.
Unsurprisingly, even without sight, she was able to react and raise her hand, as if trying to block his punch.
But this was what Rael had been waiting for since the start.
<[Phase] has been triggered!>
He teleported to her other side, and with all the speed he could muster, Rael sent a punch toward her cheek.
His foresight began spinning out of control, but for some reason, Vatyra wasn’t able to dodge the attack, even if she was fast enough to do so.
Because of that, the punch actually landed, sending a crisp sound throughout the makeshift arena. But she didn’t budge an inch. Instead, completely red flames began to cover her body, melting his skin.
Not only that, her body began to gradually enlarge as crimson feathers emerged from her skin and traveled up to her face.
Then, a third eye appeared on her forehead, yet unlike her fiery red eyes and hair, this eye was white.
The more Rael stared at it, the hotter he felt the flames in his chest burning him, almost as if that eye was amplifying the heat of her flames.
That didn’t seem to be all, as Rael began to feel dizzy. Even his mana drained rapidly as his blood began to surprisingly cool down.
But just as Vatyra’s feathers reached her neck, she halted, and so did Rael, as time suddenly wound back exactly to the moment where his fist was resting clean on her cheek.
Vatyra’s transformation came undone, and she flashed an annoyed look. It was clear she could continue, but because rules were rules, she couldn’t do anything.
After a brief moment of struggle, she escaped the time stop and glanced in one direction in particular, as it was the only one that suffered no damage from their battle.
Two figures emerged from the side, Chronos and Kareth, both sporting amused and surprised expressions.
“It’s over,” Kareth announced with a slight smile, then turned to Rael, who was still under Chronos’s time stop spell.
“Congratulations on your victory. It was well-earned.”
The time stop was lifted off Rael, allowing him to move again.
“Well-earned? I guess it was, wasn’t it?” Rael replied with a pained groan, then pointed at his burning chest. “Do you mind… You know… Putting this shit out?”
Kareth raised a brow and nodded at Vatyra.
She rolled her eyes and reluctantly snapped her fingers, dissipating the flames in his chest.
“Thanks for that,” Rael added with a sigh. “That was a good fight.”
“A fight you shouldn’t have won,” Vatyra chimed in with a scoff. “But because I was forced to lower my strength to match yours, you caught me off guard with that strange eye-destroying attack… Tsk… I don’t understand how no one has dissected someone like you yet.”
“Now now…” Kareth interjected. “No one’s dissecting anybody. His strength is his own because of hard work… and maybe a little luck. But! Luck is also a skill.”
He glanced toward the sitting Supreme Monsters, as if trying to get them to agree with him. But aside from Evelyn, who smirked and gave a thumbs up, the others kept quiet.
“I’m not a child,” Rael said plainly. “You don’t have to console me. As for my powers, your guess is as good as mine.”
He had realized something was odd back when Burger first told him to infuse his skills into his fist.
How could he do something like that without Premium Fusion? It was literally meant to fuse his skills through Trell or Premium Coins and make new skills.
In turn, the skills he used for the merger would be deleted. But this time, he was sure he made a new skill that was not only extremely overpowered, but also didn’t register in the system.
But… The fusion perk is still there. How strange…
Despite his curiosity about the origins of this strange ability, he had more pressing matters to attend to, so he dropped those thoughts for now.
Rael turned toward Vatyra, who was chatting with Chronos. Her wrist was slightly charred, but the moment he noticed, she healed it and shot him an annoyed look.
“What? Came to rub in your victory, filthy dragon?”
“Nope.” Rael shook his head.
“Just give me my rewards.”
not showing damage numbers, cuz Vatyra has 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 HP (minimum)
