Chapter 470: The Passage Of a Bit of Time
“Day uh… Shit,” Rael mumbled, brushing his long beard. “How long was I in here for again?”
He had begun to doodle on the ground out of boredom, but upon trying to add up all the sticks, he realized that he had messed up the calculations somewhere down the line.
So instead of showing that he was a few months older, it actually said years.
A lot of years…
“Haha… Imagine if I was that old,” Rael muttered with a chuckle and decided to check his status screen in hopes of seeing the actual number.
But instead, he was left a little shocked.

“Huuuh…?” Rael stared wide-eyed. “Fucking 386,118 years old? My ass I was in here for that long.”
He slept whenever he didn’t feel anything holding him back in his mind. Sure, he took Nyx’s advice and slept 100 years every week, but it seemed like he’d been doing it for 74 years straight, if that was the right number.
I doubt 93 would be there without a reason. Seriously… How did I not notice? Rael thought with a sigh. At least I didn’t lose my shit. Could it be the Grade 10 being’s blood Evelyn gave me? Or maybe my mind is that rock solid now?
Aside from that, it seemed like this insane stat gain was something he got in return for sleeping so long. It was to the point where he hit the limit for nearly each stat.
If there wasn’t a limit, I should be looking at around 30,000 stats per category, except for maybe Wisdom and Willpower. Not sure why those two are going up so slowly.
Still, while this wasn’t what he exactly expected, having this increase in stats basically prepared him for the next Grade. He would likely be at max attack power and spell power right away.
“If only these stats meant more.” Rael stood up and dusted himself off. “The real shit is in Law mastery and skill fusion.”
Stats were only part of the process and not something he needed to worry about too much.
Skill fusion seemed to be the most important, and by now, Rael could dissolve a skill and use its mana to create different variations of that spell in pretty much less than a heartbeat.
I do have a bit of trouble connecting opposite elements, but it’s whatever…
Still, he smiled and bit down on his finger. In the next instant, a large castle made out of blood appeared in front of him. Then, it swiftly turned into ice, and not even a moment later, the entire castle turned into sparkly bluish-white energy that radiated immense heat and power.
It was none other than Plasma. Nonetheless, he hummed in satisfaction and stopped the process, causing the Plasma to dissipate into thin air.
He basically got the gist of this interesting ability.
The mana refining process started at the heart, and then, he had a couple of conduits he had tested across the last few years. Of course, the conduits were organs.
His brain acted as a Domain that attuned him to a particular element in that area. Not only that, he realized that his Mind, Dream, and Fate-related abilities were all connected to the brain.
That’s why every time I use them, I enter some kind of domain.
Then there were the eyes. He could focus a compatible skill into his eyes, and it worked perfectly for fighting a single opponent. When facing several opponents, he would need to use both his brain and eyes.
And the way he figured that out was by using one of the Premium Perks he had nearly forgotten about.
Premium Simulation [Special-Unique]
—Store the memory of a complete battle. You may replay that battle whenever you wish.
Rael sighed. Fighting Solenne over and over again definitely wasn’t fun, but…
In an instant, Solenne manifested herself, looking just like she did the moment he activated Premium Trickery: Death. Her powers were the same too.
Before he could even finish his thoughts, Solenne dashed forward, and in the blink of an eye, she arrived in front of him.
Yet Rael didn’t panic in the slightest. Instead, he slightly narrowed his eyes and used Time Mana to freeze her in place.
He wasn’t sure if it was because his mana was infinite in his frozen realm, but he wasn’t feeling strained at all.
If anything, Rael hummed in amusement and approached Solenne, pacing all around her while she couldn’t do anything but stare straight ahead with her arrogant expression.
“Really…” Rael mumbled with a distant look and placed his hand on Solenne’s head.
“If only I had such abilities when we fought… But don’t worry, when the time comes, we’ll fight again.”
The moment he finished his words, Rael covered his fist in Plasma Mana. Then, without Solenne even being able to do anything, he crushed her head in his palm, causing the simulation to abruptly end.
“Heh…”
He was kind of glad he didn’t start these simulations in the real world, because as it turned out, the simulation opponent could actually kill him.
So the way they ended was with Rael’s head sent flying and Solenne vanishing.
Thank fuck for the infinite HP and MTP, Rael thought with relief, and really took a step back this once, taking in his progress.
If I can beat her while she’s a Grade 5, then I might actually be able to start beating Grade 6s. I really did get more powerful…
