“Well, I’ll be damned…” Rael muttered in awe.
His HP Tier didn’t change, but his MTP went up considerably.
Mana Trell Points (MTP): [250,048 Trillion / 250,048 Trillion] (+250.000 Trillion Excess) → [1.250 Quadrillion / 1.250 Quadrillion] (+1.250 Quadrillion Excess)
Rael held back the urge to jump up and down like an excited idiot and decided to do something more worthwhile instead.
“Since it seems like you’re going to hatch at a pretty shitty time, I won’t wait up on you,” Rael said and looked to the sky, as if he was staring at some god.
“You know, you answer my questions sometimes, but then you go on to ignore me. You’ve done that ever since the first Memory Record, so who are you exactly?” he asked, crossing his legs. “Before you reply with the usual ’insufficient authority to access that information’ bullshit, let me ask you something instead.”
It wasn’t a very deep question, but it was still something that had been on his mind for a while now.
And it was none other than the origin of this skill combination, and everything else, for that matter.
“Say… what I’m doing inside my heart is basically a simpler version of Premium Fusion, right?” Rael continued. “I know that whatever Burger taught me at the start, with me simply infusing skills into my fists, was still somewhat normal.”
He tilted his head. “But when I started combining multiple skills and then dissolving them for their mana inside my heart… that’s when it all changed. Even the Supreme Monsters said something was off about me, and if I recall, Vatyra mentioned something along the lines of ’unopened mana pathways.’”
It would make sense, or at least, that was the only logical conclusion he had come to after all these years.
I did think the Supreme Beast’s Bloodline had something to do with it, but it seems way too unlikely, Rael thought and narrowed his eyes at the sky.
“So correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m only able to do it this efficiently because these abilities are derived from Premium Fusion, right? It’s like an affinity, or a shortcut. It’s letting me do this because I already have some kind of connection… Am I on the right track?”
With those words, Rael fell silent, waiting for the answer that he wasn’t sure would come.
But thankfully, less than a few seconds later, it did.
<You are very curious about the true nature of your abilities. It’s good to be curious, but I am not a being who is inherently meant to answer your questions.>
<But I will make an exception this once because of the state you currently are in.>
After a brief pause, the system continued.
<Premium Perks are indeed tied to your very own existence. It is possible to utilize their properties if you figure out how to—>
<You have insufficient authority to request that information.>
“I see…” Rael sighed. “Thanks. Though, I really wish you could stop with this mysterious shit and tell me more. For starters, who are you, really?”
<You have insufficient authority to request that information.>
“Thought so…”
Even if he didn’t exactly understand what the system meant when it said ’the state he was in,’ he was still grateful. After all, one piece at a time, he would figure himself out. Probably.
When a minute finally passed of him continuously absorbing Time Mana, a single sharp blue crystal fragment appeared in front of him. It hovered less than a meter away from his body.
And to his surprise, it was extremely easy to control. All he needed to do was think of its movement, and it reacted without any delay.
Crystal Combat, huh?
Rael mused. I’m sure this skill is going to become even more overpowered when I reach the other levels.Yet the more Time Mana he absorbed, the more pressure he felt on his mind.
It was almost as if there was something trying to reach out to him. But soon enough, that certain something showed itself.
<Time is slowly stabilizing.>
<Blood of Gaia (Grade 10) has permitted full assimilation.>
<Would you like to assimilate Blood of Gaia (Grade 10) into your body? Yes / No>
<Notice: You don’t have much time before time returns to normal, so make your decision quickly, or else you won’t be able to find a time to assimilate again.>
The notice seemed like more of a warning, but despite that, Rael took a deep breath and pressed ’Yes.’
After all, who wouldn’t assimilate Grade 10 blood into their bodies?
<Ding!>
<Assimilation has commenced…>
Suddenly, a soothing sensation spread throughout his mind, and he couldn’t help but close his eyes and directly enter his Mind Realm.
The moment he did, he was met with a surprising sight.
The golden liquid glowed, sending a peaceful sensation down his spine. Just looking at it made him relax his muscles. Not only that, he also spotted the reflection of a clear blue sky above him, which made his eyes widen.
He admired the sky for a moment and then noticed there was now actual land inside his Mind Realm, allowing lush greenery to grow. In fact, it grew so fast that within seconds, entire forests, even a few small animals like squirrels, rabbits, and more were summoned.
The animals seemed to notice him, but instead of running away, they walked closer. The squirrels climbed on top of him and perched themselves on his shoulders. As for the rabbits, they circled around him as if he were their king.
Yet the most surprising part of this entire scene was the lone naked woman walking around the forest, touching trees and making leaves grow in abundance.
She had a curvy figure and extremely long dark green hair that seemed to trail behind her on the ground for several hundred meters. Her eyes were a captivating blue color, which perfectly matched the color of the Mind Realm’s sky.
But despite her beauty, he could sense that the pressure she emanated was nothing short of the one he had felt from the Supreme Monsters. If anything, this woman’s might be slightly stronger.
After a few short moments of her doing minor touch-ups on the trees, she turned toward him and flashed a soft smile.
“I hope you don’t mind… this realm needed a little touch-up, is all.”
