Chapter 529: Rael, The Platinum World Conqueror
“Kyaaa! Look at that puppy! How did that guy get it? I swear I didn’t see any pets like that in the store. Unless…?”
“Did that bastard find a hidden dungeon? Tsk… Track his logout point. I’m going to beat his ass and steal that mutt.”
Rael raised a brow at the bickering of players. He was genuinely confused about how someone had the balls to speak like a big shot when their name was this:
—EgirlPixiePie (Player) [Level 128] [152,920/152,920 HP]
I pray for the people who are gonna get catfished by this dork. But aside from that…
“When are you going to get off my head?” Rael asked. “You got on the moment we entered the city. It’s almost like you’re trying to draw attention to us.”
“I’m drawing attention? Feast your eyes on her,” Burger shot back, pointing his paw at Vatyra, who was running around in circles with Uriel on her head.
“Uwaaaaa!”
I’m too anti-social for this shit, Rael thought with a sigh and finally reached the boutique. He gestured at Vatyra to come and then unlocked it.
He stepped inside, and upon seeing two brooms in the very middle of the boutique, he felt his chest tighten.
Dirt Vader and Dust Trooper… Rael narrowed his eyes, paying his respects as he locked the door after Vatyra entered.
“Chop-E, could you tidy up the brooms and place them on the windowsill?” Rael asked.
Chop-E tilted his head, then nodded. “Very well. What will you do now?”
“Me? Uhh… I’m not sure, to be honest,” Rael replied blankly. “I had all these plans, but after seeing the child and actually being in the very safe, lively Celestara… I’m feeling a little overwhelmed.”
“Why don’t you tell Zafira you’re back?” Chop-E said. “The more you put it off, the more it’ll hurt. You’ve already contacted her once. What makes you think she’s not thinking about you day in and day out?”
“Good point…” Rael sighed. “Thanks, Chop-E. I’ll do that. But first, I want to try my hand at that new perk I got.”
Chop-E bowed and then went on to do his thing. As for Vatyra, she had too much fun playing with Uriel to pay attention to Rael.
But just in case, Rael swiftly bought a simple table and then a few pieces of regular turkey. When he plopped both those things down on the ground, Vatyra froze, nearly salivating at the sight.
“My… Baby dragon, how kind of you,” Vatyra said. “I’m almost flattered. Do you want a gift?”
“Just eat up,” Rael replied flatly and walked toward his personal office.
The bathroom.
When he sat down on the shitter, Rael opened the interface. Since he wasn’t in the dungeon anymore, it actually worked.
<Ding!>
<Ding!>
<100 fights simulated!>
<100 wins, 0 losses.>
<Ding!>
“Huh…” Rael crossed his legs in interest. Does it only include people who are born here?
“Dunno, probably,” Burger chimed in, nearly making Rael’s heart jump out of his chest.
“Don’t you think it’s common sense to get off my head when I came here for some privacy?” Rael asked matter-of-factly.
“You’re acting as if I’ve not seen everything there is to see. But hey, if it makes you feel any better, I’ll flush the toilet for you,” Burger replied magnanimously.
At the same time, Rael grabbed Burger by the tail, opened the door, and chucked him at Vatyra and Uriel before slamming the door shut.
He sat back down on the toilet, his brows furrowed.
Anyways… If it only shows people who were born here, then I won’t have to worry about accidentally stumbling upon some powerhouses. As of right now, Linlin should still be weak. Zafira is… thankfully alive. Then the person who’s Grade 4 should be the chuuni edgelord claiming to be the Heavenly Demon.
There was an entire questline around this guy. In the end, he wasn’t actually that strong. He just ate some magic stones that greatly increased his strength at the cost of not gaining any more strength after that.
Basically steroids. But that’s that. I don’t have to worry about petty politics and some espionage anymore.
So with that in mind, Rael went ahead and pressed “Yes.”
In the next instant, an earthquake ensued, which lasted roughly five seconds. Once it passed, a glowing interface appeared in front of him, practically making his jaw drop at the sight.
[Ruler: Unnamed]
—Dungeons: 3,552
—Continents: 9
—Countries: 55
★ Daily Dungeon Income: 744 Premium Coins
★ Daily World Income: 5,248 Premium Coins
This is pretty straightforward, Rael thought, his heart beating faster. I can buy the Silver City in literally 8 days. Just what else can I do? Hey… It’s only one world. Fuck, this seems way too good to be true.
But clearly, it wasn’t.
He would get 5,992 Premium Coins a day, plus the 1% he would additionally get from Greed. Not only that, there was one thing that had caught his eye at the very bottom of the World Management interface.
“Gaia… I think it’s an emergency. Are you here?” Rael called out.
A moment later, he got a reply.
[I’m here, and I see… You want to become a constellation, right?] Gaia muttered. [There must first be a myth. What you’re doing now is planting the seed. By making a shop appear out of nowhere, you’re granting the people salvation. But this is only the start…]
He could practically hear the smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
[Give them a taste of what it’s like to have everything, and then take it all away. People will riot, thinking you, the guardian deity hidden in the shadows, were angered. They will seek out all sorts of ways to bring back your favor, and only then… Hehehehe…]
