Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 747: The Three Friends

Chapter 747: The Three Friends
Rei’s brows twitched, but before she could speak, Nyx spoke instead.
“That’s right. The troublemaker who thought you were fake has arrived.”
Artemis raised a brow.
“I’m fake? Who decided that, Rei?”
She seemed a little intimidating for someone who was supposedly a kind goddess who guided virgins.
Maybe that’s just Rael’s perception of her because he wasn’t exactly the purest of souls.
Or maybe he was just being stupid.
Either way, his thoughts were like an open book because he had accidentally mistaken Artemis’s large chest for her eyes.
Allegedly.
“Is he also a friend of yours?”
Nyx let out a sigh.
“Despite how lecherous he might seem, he’s a snowflake when it comes to making moves on women. If you were to take off all your clothes and jump on him, there’s only a 10% chance he’s going to pounce on you back.”
“You’re overestimating me. Now just don’t mind that I’m here and have your cat fight,” Rael said, rolling his eyes.
Nyx shot him a glare and then turned back to Artemis.
“Aside from this jokester, Rei’s a little off as well. Talk to her, or even better… Show her all your memories.”
“Mmm… Okay.”
Surprisingly, Artemis didn’t disagree.
And so, she seemingly opened up her mind and waited patiently for Rei to approach.
But Rei didn’t approach.
She felt both frightened and unsure because whatever she would see would change her perception of the world.
She was afraid of that more than anything.
But seeing the expressions of her two friends, Rei eventually sucked up the courage and stepped forward.
Artemis immediately caught her in her tiny little bubble and began showing her all the memories she had, which obviously would take a while.
So Nyx stepped out and crossed her arms.
“You were staring pretty hard at her chest.”
“I wasn’t even thinking about her chest, if that makes you feel better,” Rael replied matter-of-factly. “I was just thinking that she acted pretty bitchy for someone who’s supposedly very pure.”
Hearing that, Nyx burst out laughing.
“Pffft… Hahaha. Yeah, she’s pure. She’s really pure, but also really pissed off. Since everyone sees her as an unattainable treasure, the only person who would ever dare to put hands on her is Zeus. But that fat old frog isn’t stupid enough to do so.”
“Makes sense, I guess,” Rael said. “I would be pretty pissed off too if women saw my balls as the holiest of jewels.”
Nyx rolled her eyes at him and slapped his back, knocking the naughty jokes right out of him.
“So what do you think?” Rael asked, rubbing his back. “Do you think Rei’s words hold some truth to them?”
“She’s right to think that, and I did too. After all, Artemis’s and the others’ souls were destroyed. The only reason they came back, though, was because the universe reset on a scale beyond even the Higher Gods’ jurisdiction. The Supreme Beast who was responsible pretty much rewound time while also making a multiverse.”
Yeah.
Rael heard this plenty of times already.
The Shattering happened and the multiverse appeared, something something.
“The amount of energy that it took to create the multiverse also was enough to reconstruct the souls of the Ancient Primordials alongside the Law of Time’s help. Anyhow, I already told you I overslept the damn thing, so don’t expect to hear anything more from me.”
“Yep. No worries,” Rael said, and with that, simply sat down on one of the comfy chairs and rested his eyes for a moment.
Though, during his rest, he accidentally fell asleep and then woke up when Nyx shook him awake.
“They’re back. Check her out…”
She pointed at Rei, and to Rael’s surprise, there were tears streaming down her cheeks as she suddenly ran up to Artemis and hugged her.
It seemed like all the doubt she had developed during the course of her many years of solitude had finally been broken, and with the flood of tears came all the feelings she had stored away for so long.
Seeing how Nyx was hesitant to approach, Rael gave her a little push, and so the three of them hugged it out, tears streaming from the faces of each one.
It was nice to see them happy.
It made him happy as well.
Though, since these three friends clearly had a lot to talk about, Rael decided not to be a nuisance, and after leaving a few bottles of alcohol on the floor, he made his way to another section of Olympus.
Passing by several sex-fiend sections, he arrived at yet another garden that looked oddly similar to the one Artemis had been taking care of.
The only difference was that instead of flowers, there were training dummies.
Was this some kind of public training yard?
Rael glanced around.
There were a bunch of people walking around, so maybe…?
Since he was kind of bored, he decided to test the dummies out.
Of course, he started with a light punch at first, which went nowhere, so he went up a level, then another, and another.
At one point, it seemed like Rael was punching at the strength of a Grade 6, then a Grade 7, and once he reached the power of a Grade 8, the wooden dummy finally cracked.
And so, with yet another punch, Rael managed to shatter the dummy entirely.
It was pretty interesting how the dummy could tank the attacks of a Grade 8, especially since he was actually putting some force behind his punches.
But alas, Olympians wouldn’t be called that if they had total shit lying around.
Though, right as Rael was about to move on to another dummy, he heard faint footsteps behind him.
The moment he turned around, Rael saw a burly black-haired man staring at him with his arms crossed, and once Rael inspected him, he froze.
