Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 842: Safe Zone

Capítulo 842: Safe Zone
Anyhow, Rael didn’t waste much of his time any longer and decided to just blitz the floors moving forward.
After all, if Nyx and Renoir could do it, then so could he. Surely…
And of course, he wasn’t mistaken, since the floors leading up to the fifth floor were simple as shit.
The second floor was just a basic capture the flag where he had to go inside a goblin base and get a literal flag. That took him less than a minute.
The third floor was a parkour test, so he just flew up. Also took less than a minute.
And lastly, just like Nyx had said, there was a maze. It took a little longer than the other floors, but only because the maze was very large. He already knew the path thanks to his eyes and Prophetic Realm.
Regardless of that, less than 10 minutes later, Rael stared at one particular pop-up while leaning against the frame of a door.
<Ding!>
<Ding!>
That’s crazy… Rael thought as he just stared at the pop-up blankly.
Then, he decided to glance over into his status screen and admire his very beautiful status.

How beautiful… I’m like a musclebrain now. Hehe. Though, I should probably start focusing on other stats, since even if this only gave me a few stats, I actually am feeling the difference. It feels like my muscles and general punching power increased by 2 times since I entered this tower, Rael thought.
Clearly, it wasn’t too good to be true.
And not only that, if his passives get upgraded, then that meant the passives of everyone else did as well. No wonder everyone was so powerful when all they’ve been doing was getting freebies over and over again.
Letting out a sigh, Rael finally clicked on the “Yes” button. In the very next instant, Rael’s body shifted as he was suddenly teleported.
The moment he reappeared, he found himself standing in the center of a medieval city. It was surprisingly… empty?
Rael tried sending out some of his mana to feel for some people, but only then did he realize that he couldn’t even control his mana to begin with. If anything, it was like he was a normal human again.
Just then, he felt a tap on his shoulder, and once he turned around, he spotted Nyx.
“It’s really empty,” Nyx said plainly, clearly having thought the same thing initially.
“Hmm… I mean, I’d assume it’d be a bit more full, no?” Rael replied, then glanced down. Since he stood on a sidewalk, he decided to just sit down on the very edge and stretch out his feet.
“If what I saw in the Eternal Dreams memories was the truth, then millions, if not billions, of demons and other people should’ve been transported here. If that’s the case, where is everyone?”
Nyx sat down beside him and said:
“I would assume they climbed higher. After all, most beings aren’t born with power. They all have their own motivations, so why would any one of them stop at this safe zone, especially when the first couple of floors were so easy?”
She was right.
Rael knew for a fact that he wouldn’t stop either, and obviously, he wasn’t planning on staying here either.
“You wouldn’t happen to have run into Renoir, have you?” Rael asked.
Nyx shook her head.
“I entered this floor as fast as I could after our talk. He wasn’t here. We could wait a bit, but I feel like if we did, then he’d just get further and further away from us.”
That’s true.
“Well then, listen up…”
***
Rael told her everything that the goblin king had mentioned, and when he was finished, she just nodded in understanding.
“I see. So that’s the speedrun you were talking about. Well, I guess we can try. How do we do it though?”
Rael shrugged. How would he know? All he knew was that there was some kind of option to do so.
And so with that in mind, Rael decided to just stand up, dust himself off, and walk across the city.
There were several dozen cafes, inns, and more food and clothes shops. However, all of them were empty, as one would expect. However, after walking a fair deal, Rael eventually arrived at the very center of the city, and to his surprise, there was a basic goddess statue in the very center.
When Rael focused on it, a pop-up appeared.
<Ding!>
Oh?
So the way to enter the next floor was just to simply go to the very center.
Rael decided to quickly look around, and after not finding anything else that would signify how to change floors, he decided to drop it, realizing that the thing the goblin king mentioned was either bullshit or hidden.
I guess at the very least, Renoir couldn’t have found it, Rael thought with a slightly relieved look.
Then, he told Nyx about it too, and when he did, the two quickly came up with a plan.
“I’ll look through the houses for something. You go scout out the edge of the city,” Nyx said.
Rael stared at her for a moment, then nodded.
“Will do, boss.”
