Chapter 812: Chapter 812: The Death of Gao Zhenzhen
Within the B-Base, Han Yue walked towards the interrogation room with a glowering expression.
“Are they still the same?”
Han Yue inquired.
“Yes, Young Master Han, they keep repeating the same few lines, even the hallucinogen has been used,”
Squad leader Wu Zhong responded.
He felt that the three healers didn’t possess much ability and he wondered what exactly Young Master Han suspected them of.
Inside the interrogation room, Gao Zhenzhen looked dazedly at the person who entered. Of the three, she was the one Wu Zhong had beaten the worst, and her right cheek was severely swollen, though it would be reduced by her own healing element ability in a few minutes.
“Do you know? My father still hasn’t woken up,”
Han Yue said from a position of authority, looking down at Gao Zhenzhen. Just the fact that Han Zhimin was injured was enough for him to wish he could personally kill Gao Zhenzhen.
However, Gao Zhenzhen, who had been begging for mercy days before, suddenly smiled, her speech unclear due to several missing teeth:
“He was already on borrowed time, having caused the death of so many healers, his death is hardly a pity,”
Smack!
Han Yue viciously slapped Gao Zhenzhen, sending her and the stool behind her toppling to the side.
Wu Zhong was somewhat surprised; although Young Master Han was an ordinary person, his strength was considerable.
Looking at Gao Zhenzhen lying motionless on the ground, Han Yue said to Wu Zhong, “Take her to the research facility, I want to see if she’s really a dual-element ability user!”
Gao Zhenzhen’s eyes widened in shock, her desire for a swift death surging strongly again. But as a healing element ability user, death wasn’t so easy to come by unless it was instantaneous.
Although Yi Pei and Gu Feng were not as badly off as Gao Zhenzhen, due to their involvement in Han Zhimin’s incident, the Han family had no intentions of letting them go either; all three were taken to the research facility.
Gu Feng shivered as she looked at Gao Zhenzhen next to her.
For some reason, the current Gao Zhenzhen seemed to have ignited a goal in her eyes again, staring determinedly ahead. They were able to walk now, but their hands were still bound behind them.
Gao Zhenzhen died nonetheless. She took advantage of the moment when the gates of the Han Family Courtyard opened, and as a small truck entered, she suddenly unleashed a burst of strength to break free from the grasp of the people behind her and swiftly ran towards the front of the truck!
Bang!
Blood splattered everywhere.
Gao Zhenzhen was thrown far onto the ground and after twitching a few times, stopped moving altogether.
The gate had not yet been closed, and many passersby saw the accident that occurred within the Han Family Courtyard.
“That’s not an accident, right? Her hands are tied behind her back,” one onlooker remarked.
“It doesn’t look like an accident to me; she ran into it herself, probably suicide,” another suggested.
“How terrible, look at her clothes, all torn and tattered. She must have been…”
For a young woman with her hands bound behind her back to collide with a vehicle – what kind of mistreatment and desperation must she have endured to choose suicide?!
“What are you standing there for, close the gate quickly!”
Wu Zhong shouted, never having expected the woman to commit suicide right before their eyes, especially in full view of outsiders.
The gatekeepers snapped to action, quickly closing the gates, isolating the outside speculations.
Both Yi Pei and Gu Feng were completely stunned. The vivid image of Gao Zhenzhen alive just moments ago was still before them, and now she lay on the ground with her eyes closed but with a smiling expression, as if she had succeeded in doing something…
“Zhenzhen…”
Tears began to well up in Gu Feng’s eyes, and she burst into tears.
Why? Why did they become like this?
Yi Pei couldn’t help crying out, and coupled with the three of them being held in the interrogation room, she now just wanted to cry aloud to vent her feelings.
Therefore, the expressions of the people passing by the Han Family Courtyard and those who had not yet had the chance to leave became even richer after hearing the crying. Some of them couldn’t help but go up and pat the door, saying:
“What on earth are you doing inside? Even now, you can’t just bully others!”
“Yes, what are you doing, you can’t just do whatever you want because you are powerful.”
Gu Feng and Yi Pei, hearing the shouting of the people outside, felt as if they saw a glimmer of hope and began to shout towards the outside:
“Help! Please save us!”
“We are healers, they want to dissect us alive!”
Wu Zhong immediately had his men cover the two women’s mouths, then quickly twisted them away to the research institute across the street…
Seeing that the Han Family’s gates remained immovable, the onlookers stuck around for a while before slowly dispersing, yet they did not miss the final cries for help from the two inside.
What on earth was going on inside the Han Family?
Although this incident was just a minor episode, it stirred up a wave of gossip within the B city base.
Although Han Yue intended to find someone to quell the rumors, the incident fermented, and whenever people looked at the Han Family’s Special Ability teams, their eyes were filled with scrutiny and suspicion, as if they were all involved in some demonic live dissection.
“This Wu Zhong really doesn’t know how to handle things. Why didn’t he take them through the basement!”
Han Jin couldn’t help cursing.
“It’s true our Han Family is short on talent. Now with so many gone, it’s like a leaky roof facing continuous nighttime rain,”
Zheng Chengsi sighed. He was one of the most trusted by Han Zhimin, and now that Han Zhimin was unconscious, he had much more to take care of.
“It seems like our Han Family is always at odds with the people from the S city base,”
Han Yue said.
These three healers were also recruited from the S city base by Zhang Mingxu.
“Hmph, we gave their base the title of an SS-level bounty team, and now they don’t know how to be grateful, how can they oppose us at every turn!”
Zheng Chengsi knew very little about the Heart Talk Team, in his view, the Heart Talk Team and the S city base should be looking up to their Han Family as their leader.
“Right, Uncle Zheng, my male cousin and his mother also died because of people from the S city base, they are simply too hateful!”
Han Jiajia said indignantly.
Han Yizhou died at the S city base, and Han Wan’s death was mostly due to the Heart Talk Team. Although they did not show up and the surveillance captured nothing, the cages in the Han Family’s basement were burned, which made Han Yue suspect Lu Hao.
Usually, a Fire Element Ability User cannot burn through those cages.
But this was just suspicion, as they had no evidence.
“I think… it’s time for the second bounty teams’ competition to start. This time, let’s start with the S city base,”
Han Yue said, looking at the intelligence received in his hands.
“Alright, I went the first time. This time I’ll take Zuo Sen and the others. I don’t believe they can still get the SS-level title,”
Han Jin said.
“No, this time I will go,”
Han Yue said with a smile.
