Chapter 875: Chapter 875: The Origin of Wood Spirit Space
“May I ask if you are the creator of this space, the ancestor of the Lu family?”
Su Jin asked, having already guessed something from the conversation. As the master of this space, she had a premonition.
“Hmph, this girl does have some insight.”
Lu Changfeng felt a bit pleased with Su Jin’s respectful tone in her speech.
Nie Qing dared not be negligent any longer and waved to cancel the Confinement Formation. He knew that a master within the formation could forcibly break it, albeit causing an explosion, clearly showing the master had no hostile intent.
Lu Changfeng then walked out from the formation pompously, heading straight toward Li Xiuying and Lin Yunguo.
“Are this boy and girl my Lu family descendants? Do they have names?”
Li Xiuying and Lin Yunguo were too excited to speak, so Lu Hao answered for them: “Lu Xi and Lu Wang.”
“Immortal Lu, Immortal Lu, I am Lu Guanhai, also a Lu.”
Lu Guanhai hurried forward, excitedly introducing himself. He felt as if he were dreaming, actually seeing the Lu family ancestor.
“Hmm, occasionally, our Lu family produces some descendants of mediocre aptitude.”
Lu Changfeng glanced at Lu Guanhai and said.
Lu Guanhai, feeling dispirited, heard the Immortal Lu continue: “Yet you’ve given birth to such spirited children, truly heaven’s favor.”
“…They are my children.”
Lu Hao said with a frown.
An awkward silence fell for a moment, so Su Jin introduced everyone present to Lu Changfeng.
“Hmm, no wonder you built this place into such a form—one or two people couldn’t accomplish it alone. Outside, I suppose, is overrun with monsters now?”
As he spoke, Lu Changfeng was led to the courtyard of the Lu Residence by Su Jin, and Lin Yunguo hurriedly brought the finest tea.
Hearing Lu Changfeng’s remark, the tray Lin Yunguo brought nearly trembled out of his hands. This truly was a celestial being, knowing the state of the world outside this space.
“Immortal Lu is right; outside, it is indeed overrun with monsters. Without the protection of this space, we might have all…”
Su Jin cautiously said, concerned that the Immortal Lu might intend to reclaim this space.
Su Jin had already devised countless plans in her mind. If it came to the worst, she would relocate everyone to the base in S City for stringent protection.
“Hahaha! You guessed right; I indeed refined this place for my Lu family descendants. Little girl, being the master of this space, what is your name?”
Lu Changfeng finally regained some dignity and sense of accomplishment, though among them was a Lu family descendant of interest, alas, reminiscent of his younger self—dull and cold…
“Su Jin”
Upon hearing her name, Lu Changfeng paused for a moment before bursting into laughter again.
“What a fate indeed! I must speak with Old Su about this when I return.”
Lu Changfeng became lost in memories.
As it turned out, this Wood Spirit Space was initially opened by his friend Su Ling, but she ascended soon after opening it, leaving him to finish the refinement.
The reason for creating this place was a common prediction of a calamity set to occur a millennium later, wishing to do something for their descendants.
He didn’t expect the space’s master to be a descendant of the Su family, as for those two little ones…
“Why does this place always require spiritual power to upgrade?”
Lu Hao asked.
“You are perceptive; without upgrades, would you be able to see me? And without seeing me, could you find the vitality of this small world?”
Lu Changfeng squinted his eyes at Lu Hao.
Though they are his descendants, they no longer belong to this world. With varying aptitudes over generations, he and Su Ling had devised an upgrade mechanism here.
It requires both fate and ability to use, serving as a trial for those within, until the appearance of this high-level formation upon reaching the final level.
“So, is it at the final level now?!”
Su Jin asked excitedly, realizing Lu Hao had guessed correctly before!
“Yes, you are right; it is indeed at the final stage now.”
Lu Changfeng rose, nodding incessantly at the vast expanse of mustard seed space. The fields were all planted, making his effort and blood spent on refinement worthwhile.
“Great, Xiao Jin, now we won’t need to waste crystal cores on upgrades anymore.”
Huang Yunxiang whispered excitedly, realizing that even the smallest sound wouldn’t escape the Immortal Lu. She quickly covered her mouth, worriedly glancing at Lu Changfeng.
Seeing that Lu Changfeng said nothing, Huang Yunxiang finally felt relieved.
“May I ask, what do you mean by ’vitality’ just now?”
Lu Hao grasped the key point in Lu Changfeng’s words and was curious about the ’vitality’ he mentioned.
“You and the Su family girl, come with me.”
Lu Changfeng glanced at Lu Hao, gesturing for them to follow.
Seeing Lu Hao and Su Jin follow along, Lu Guanhai was also about to go, but Nie Qing stopped him.
Nie Qing shook his head and said, “We better wait here.”
Lu Changfeng not calling them meant certain words were not for too many ears.
“Phew, that scared me earlier; I thought this celestial being would take back the space.”
Lin Xiuyuan said, patting his chest in relief.
“Don’t speak out of turn; how could we mortals fathom the thoughts of a celestial being?”
Li Xiuying said seriously.
“Rest assured, everyone. This visit from the Lu Family’s Immortal is clearly to guide us.”
Nie Qing said with a smile.
The family waited anxiously yet excitedly in the Lu Residence for an unsure amount of time. Lu Xi and Lu Wang were fed milk by Huang Yunxiang and Lu Guanhai and had fallen asleep when Su Jin and Lu Hao finally returned, hand in hand.
“Xiao Jin, Xiao Hao, where’s the celestial being?”
Li Xiuying immediately ran up to ask.
“Grandmother, he has returned to his place; you don’t need to worry.”
Su Jin answered with a smile.
“So, what did you discuss for so long?”
Lin Xiuyuan couldn’t hold back his curiosity and asked.
“The severity of this Zombie Virus and the location of vitality.”
Lu Hao replied.
Lu Changfeng mentioned two types of vitality: an existing vitality found in the descendants of the Lu and Su families—possibly himself and Su Jin or even Lu Xi and Lu Wang. It could extend further…
The other ray of hope, Lu Changfeng only pointed out, lay in Huaxia’s far north. While he didn’t specify, based on Lu Hao’s deduction, it might be within Huaxia’s Y Autonomous Region now.
However, the family was already shocked by the first mention of vitality by Lu Hao.
Could Su Jin and Lu Hao possibly be the hope of this world?!
