Chapter 1010 Celebrations for advancement
Michael was actually very lucky that he had just about enough GodForge pieces to accommodate all the new Maugnetics.
Having more than a thousand Maugnetics was good and all, but this meant that he also had a thousand more mouths to feed.
If all of them were to advance to the second stage of Body Formation, he would need two thousand kilograms of GodForge pieces in total! That was a staggering amount that would seem very daunting for any company owner.
This was the very reason why most organizations simply choose to funnel all of their resources in a small group of talented people. For them, one 9th stage Maugnetic was a lot more valuable than 50 1st stage cultivators.
However, it was also true that a thousand 1st stage Maugnetics was more valuable than one 9th stage cultivator.
Of course, no one was crazy enough to spend their GodForge pieces that way.
The only way that the Ersatz could create a thousand 1st stage Maugnetics was because they used the fake version of a GodForge, the Artifice.
But thankfully, Michael and the Reborn company was one of the very few organizations with the resources to have both quality and quantity.
Perhaps the conglomerates and the upper echelons were the only ones with more Maugnetics than him right now.
Thankfully now, he could catch up. One of the main obstacles that people faced was the lack of GodForge pieces. But with his current relationship with the Thunderfoot clan, he had a solid way to obtain GodForge. He just needed the money.
But that was a conversation for another day. For now, he had to celebrate with the Rebornians.
With the Orcs experiencing a substantial boost in their capabilities, they were filled with a festive mood.
BU TO TO!
RAH TA TA! Narito and Sasuki led the charge, thumping their muscles and strumming their quills. With their 3rd stage Maugnetic cultivation, their reverberations created visible tremors in reality itself, as if the air was getting pumped the same as the Orcs.
The Elite Penumbra followed suit, their reverberations creating a subtle, but ever present rhythm to the chants.
The High Orcs, due to their sheer numbers, made up for the majority of the thumping and strumming. Most of the new Maugnetics were from the High Orcs but there were also some from the Mid Orcs and even the Low Orcs.
But since they were accepted by the GodForge pieces, they were immediately promoted to the High Penumbra group, making them even more numerous than before.
BU TO TO!
RAH TA TA!
Perhaps the one who were most excited among the Shadow Orcs were the three hundred Maugnetics who had just awakened their Divas.
Their voices soared with power as they unleashed their newly acquired powers.
Above them, black swirling lights shimmered to create tenebrous figures of a more monstrous depiction of the Orc species.
There were some slight differences between them, but the theme of the shadows remained the same. It truly did seem like the Orcs were born and molded by darkness.
Michael was floored to see this in real time. All three hundred Orcs, lined up like a battalion, all simultaneously awakening their Divas with incredible synchronicity. Somehow, their powers were conflating with each other, creating a much more powerful effect than if they were alone. It was multiplicative!
Just then, Michael felt a disturbance to the side.
He turned towards the crack in reality beyond the entrance of the Stronghold, seeing a singular woman entering into this Pocket Dimension.
Katarina stepped forwards, donning her Nascent Spirit diamond armor on her body.
Her face was serious and solemn. She looked the same as when they had first sieged the Stronghold trying to rescue Lyra.
But as she scanned the battlefield, her eyes began to morph from seriousness to confusion.
Instead of cold, abhorrent Ersatz soldiers, she was instead met with a literal sea of Shadow Orcs, some perching atop the battlements, some hiding and hugging the walls, and some fully in the midst of celebration in the open courts.
But perhaps that wasn’t as confounding as the aberration she was feeling in the fabric of reality.
Aubility Power was building up like a pulsing heart about to explode.
But… there wasn’t any Nascent Spirit cultivator here.
It was then that she noticed.
The presence of Divas. Multiple. No… hundreds of them.
Her Nascent Spirit eyes finally landed on the three hundred Shadow Orcs lined up on the open court.
Shadow Divas silently roared, black flames fluttering on their edges.
These were real Divas. Not those cheap replicas that the Artifice produces.
Katarina couldn’t believe her eyes.
Just the sheer amount of genuine Maugnetics would be enough of a shocker in and of itself. But seeing it on a group of demi-humans was nothing short of a dreamlike scenario. Did she enter the right place? She felt like she just entered into an alternate dimension where demi-humans could now somehow overcome the limitations of their species as a whole!
Then, she saw Michael. Of course he was going to be here. Why was she not surprised?
Only an anomaly like him could create demi-human Maugnetics like it was as easy as planting crops. He could make anyone wield Unity, so he might as well be able to do this, right?
Her vigilance lowered, her diamond armor disappearing into motes of light.
She stepped forward, disappearing, and reappeared right next to Michael.
“Katarina! It’s good that you’re here. What do you think we should do about this?”
“…”
Katarina looked around, noticing the pile of Ersatz soldiers on the ground.
A Stronghold was supposed to be just that. It was supposed to hold strong against a full frontal attack. But… Why did it seem like the Ersatz soldiers absolutely did no damage against this group of unlikely invaders?
Even the Consortium wouldn’t dare invade a Platinum-led Stronghold so easily. There would be months and months and months of preparation before they would actually decide whether they should actually invade or not.
