Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 1074 We are future

Chapter 1074 We are future
Whoever sold the most products would earn the most of Tri-star’s territory? That sounded like Michael’s cup of tea!
He wasn’t delusional. Even with his cultivation now in the 1st stage of the Nascent Spirit realm, he knew that he couldn’t yet contend with the Upper Echelons or the Conglomerates in any warring capacity.
They had numerous resources and even more powerful cultivators in their midst.
But when it comes to putting innovative products on the market? He believed that he was second to none. The automobile was just the first of many that he could sell to the market.
So, he was confident that Reborn could hold their own in a competition such as this.
“How can we join?”
Jimmy cocked his head side to side. “Well at first, anyone can join this festival. But the Upper Echelons rallied to have it be a closed event, reserved only for those in the top 50 of the Golden Ranking.”
Which meant that even if this was the perfect event for Reborn, they were not allowed to participate.
It made sense. At this point, the Upper Echelons were wary of them. No longer were they considered just a Lower Echelon company that they could simply disregard. They experienced first-hand how they were all entranced with the automobiles in less than a week.
So, in order to prevent Reborn from having the chance to advance even further, they made sure to cut off any way that could help them expand their business.
“Is there any way for us to enter?”
Jimmy shook his head. “I don’t know. They were able to finalize the rules with the help of the Montgomerys, so I don’t think we can circumvent it.”
Yuna perked up as soon as she heard that. “Do you have a copy of the rules?”
Jimmy immediately trudged through his rucksack, before eventually giving a sheath of paper towards Yuna.
It was a big stack, containing papers with rules from the top to bottom, with a font size that Michael could only think was meant for ants to read.
“They really buried this with technical jargon to make sure we have no chance of getting in,” Yuna said as she perused the rulebook.
Michael pursed his lips. “It’s fine. We don’t have to worry about this. As long as our Reborn road system continues on its progress, we’ll be fine.”
Yuna immediately looked at him with a smile on her face. “Underestimating me? Give me a few hours.”
…
…
…
Now that things have finally slowed down, Michael had the chance to take stock of everything that he obtained the past few days.
In terms of wealth, they have currently amassed a total of 660,232,900 Sand Dollars throughout this whole ordeal.
Truly, Michael didn’t think that he would be this rich. But even with this obscenely high number, he knew that it was just a small percentage of what the Upper Echelons and the Conglomerates had in their treasuries.
As CEO, Castelle was in charge of where to spend that money.
And right now, she was currently spending most of it increasing the quality and quantity of Maugnetics in Reborn.
Thanks to the new [System] now implemented in her head, she was given notice whenever someone in the company had the opportunity to advance. Basically, ChatJK6 made her the administrator.
One would think that this was a prestigious title and rank, but in truth, Castelle was made to be nothing more than a head for people to complain to.
“Miss Castelle! Why does he get the mission to defeat some Fuel Thieves, while I’m stuck only with stake-out duty!”
“Miss CEO! I’ve already done every mission possible! Please give me more!”
“Isn’t it kind of unfair that while we Shadow Orcs have to conquer entire marauder camps, the Engineers just have to continue creating the roads, all for the same reward of one skill point? We should be awarded at least two more! Bu to to!”
Michael did feel bad for Castelle. She wasn’t in charge of assigning the missions, ChatJK6 was. But she was still getting the full brunt of their complaints.
Despite that, Castelle didn’t seem bothered with everything. She found it nice to see the Rebornians so passionate. They became a lot more active in trying to earn merits for skill points or GodForge pieces.
Productivity was skyrocketing! Surely, there were no unintended consequences with such things, right?
Either way, Michael let the natural growth of the company go its own course. He wasn’t going to interfere with that.
Right now, he was more concerned with his own growth.
He had finally become a Nascent Spirit cultivator. But… he didn’t really feel any different from his previous self. Nothing had really changed, except for the absence of that second voice in his head.
Just focus on my core…
That was ChatJK6’s advice. But for the past few days, that’s all he’d been doing. And they were all to no avail.
He couldn’t summon the Nascent Armor that separated him from the Body Formation cultivators.
He tried to imagine that same armor that Harbinger used. That futuristic, nanoparticle-infused, silver and yellow mecha that seemed larger than life.
Still, he couldn’t make it manifest into reality.
But then, he remembered.
“[And this armor… It’s just one of our powers. We’re not just a mecha. We are everything. We are the future. We are the pinnacle.]”
Those were Harbinger’s words to him. At first, he didn’t understand. But now, he realized that it was a clue intended for him in this exact situation.
We are everything… we are the future…
He tried to remember everything that Harbinger told him. And one word came up.
Adaptation.
Essentially, that was the only path to the future. That was how humans evolved to become the pinnacle of the world.
So perhaps, that was how he was going to summon his Nascent Spirit armor as well.
He needed to adapt. Which meant… unlike most people who had one distinct Nascent Armor, he had one that was always evolving.
With that thought stuck in his mind, he looked at his hand, now with golden yellow nanoparticles forming around his wrists.
