Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 1075 Golden particles

Chapter 1075 Golden particles
Michael watched as the golden nanoparticles swirl around his skin, forming clumps and nebulous clouds with such spontaneity and freedom that he thought they had a mind of their own.
He felt as if he could somehow control these nanoparticles to do his bidding. His thoughts created waves and spikes of activity amongst these sand-like particles. But the extent of his control wasn’t that big. The best he could do was make the nanoparticles form very vague shapes.
After playing around with it for a few hours, he was able to completely cover his hands and wrists with the nanoparticles like some kind of tight-fitting glove.
He tried to manifest more nanoparticles so that he could cover his entire body like armor, but it seemed that this was his limit for now.
For now, he would call these his Golden Gloves.
These nanoparticles weren’t just some normal material. They were both corporeal and incorporeal at the same time.
He could tell that even the strongest weapons, sharpest knives, or the most destructive explosions wouldn’t be able to make a single scratch in the gloves.
They weren’t fully embedded into reality. The best way Michael could describe it would be like those indestructible items in video games.
In those media, the player could destroy cars, windows, and doors anyway they liked. However, they could never destroy a thin wall made out of wood, even if the player used a bazooka to do so.
This was because those walls and buildings were never meant to be interacted with. They were not part of the destructible environment. They weren’t ‘coded’ to be destroyed.
The Nascent Armor was like that. They were above and beyond anything in this material world. They were not meant to be destroyed.
The only thing that could interact with them were other Nascent Spirit armors.
That was the main reason why Nascent Spirit cultivators were regarded with so much veneration. They were literally invincible with that armor!
Which meant that once Michael covered himself with these nanoparticles, he’d be impervious to all attacks under his own cultivation.
The problem now was… how?
For the Body Formation realm, one only had to gather enough GodForge pieces in their hearts to advance through the stages.
But for the Nascent Spirit realm, it seemed that it wouldn’t be that simple.
He still needed GodForge pieces to advance his Nascent Core. But according to ChatJK6, there was one thing more important for him to advance.
Spirits.
[Spirits are the lifeforce of Divas. They are the very substance that allows Divas to manifest themselves into the real world. Without it, they’ll disappear. With more, they’ll be able to assert their identity onto the world.]
Substance? So, they’re a tangible item?
[No, I was exaggerating to make a point.]
Oh.
[In order to gain spirits, one must embody the Diva and do as they do, thereby making a mark on the world. Once you are able to fully embody your Diva and make a significant change into the world, then your core will open up to the world and absorb the spirits made by your actions. This is the only way that a spirit can be gained.]
Even with ChatJK6’s description, this whole ‘spirit’ thing was still very vague.
If he were to interpret it as literally as possible, then this meant that he would have to basically ‘cosplay’ as Harbinger. Become the literal embodiment of the [Harbinger of the Future]. Then, and only then, would he be able to gain spirits for his advancement.
But what kind of action would constitute him ’embodying’ Harbinger? Could making some sassy remark like his alter ego did be enough of a criteria? Or would he have to literally usher the world into the ‘future’?
There were so many ways that someone could interpret these rules.
Now he was starting to understand why people spent a lot of time in the Body Formation realm simply trying to understand their Diva.
That first realm of cultivation was meant to be an exploration of their own talent, their own Diva.
If you simply fast-tracked your way through the Body Formation stages by putting a lot of GodForge pieces into your heart without any care in trying to understand your own Diva, then you’d be clueless in the Nascent Spirit stage. You’d be stuck in the 1st stage, never understanding how to gain spirits.
Even Michael, who felt as if he had gotten a solid understanding of his talent as the [Harbinger of the Future], was still a little bit unsure of what he was supposed to do.
[You need to gain 100 Spirits in order to ascend to the 2nd stage of the Nascent Spirit realm.]
Okay, thanks for that, ChatJK6.
That was really helpful… if he knew how much spirits he could earn!
This is hard… I’ll have to consult a fellow Nascent Spirit cultivator to learn more.
…
…
…
Michael met with a person who had been a tremendous help to Reborn these past few months. They had been keeping the peace in their ever growing territories in the Lower Queens region.
“Michael!”
It was none other than Alaric Goldstone, the leader of the Legacies.
The man had taken a step back in New Sparta, and chose to help Reborn consolidate and protect their territories instead. Michael only found out because the Shadows reported to him about a possible attack on Angora City intended to steal important machinery in one of their metal factories. But before the Orcs were able to do anything, Alaric had already solved the problem.
“Thanks for this, Alaric.”
“No worries. As long as you help us later in the All-Tournament at the end of the year, then it will all be for the best,” Alaric answered.
“I just have a few questions for you.”
“Is it about the Feast? Don’t.”
Michael raised his eyebrows. “Why?”
“I knew it. You’re planning on joining, aren’t you. But there’s a reason why lower echelon companies aren’t allowed to participate. The Conglomerates and the Upper Echelons won’t be holding back in the feast.”
