Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 1077 Spirits

Chapter 1077 Spirits
Alpha had that overworldly strength that all Nascent Spirit Cultivators had. However, what tipped Alaric off was one distinct thing that she was lacking: her spirit.
This woman had no spirit at all. “She’s… she’s your clone?” Alaric asked, still having his guard up. Despite knowing she wasn’t a threat nor a true Nascent Spirit cultivator, he still felt a little bit threatened by the power that she was passively radiating.
“Yeah. It’s a long story, but I used clones like her to kill a Nascent Spirit cultivator,” Michael explained.
Alaric was still in complete disbelief, but he knew better than to rationalize anything that Michael did. The boy in front of him was infamous for doing things that were considered impossible.
If he had two or more of these clones at his disposal, then he could see how they could somehow defeat a Nascent Spirit cultivator.
“This is very impressive, but she or any other clone you have won’t be enough to shorten the distance between you and the Upper Echelons. Unless you have Nascent Spirit cultivators under your employ, then I suggest that you reconsider your plans in joining the Feast competition.”
“We do have one. Me,” Michael said nonchalantly.
“Huh?”
“Huh?”
They both asked at the same time.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait…”
Michael raised his hand as he focused on the golden nanoparticles to reappear around his wrists.
After some time, he’d gotten a lot better at controlling his Nascent Armor. Now, he could create basic shapes like cubes and spheres.
“WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!”
Alaric rubbed his eyes, making sure that he was seeing things correctly. Surely not, right? Surely he didn’t just see Michael manifesting his own Nascent Armor right in front of him.
“This is actually why I wanted to ask for your help in the first place. I wanted some advice on how to advance through the stages of the Nascent Spirit realm. How do I gather Spirits?”
Michael’s question sent Alaric into a complete spiral. All the things that he’d been thinking about were immediately thrown out of his brain and was replaced by one thing.
The boy, in his teens, right in front of him… had reached the Nascent Spirit realm.
This—this was not how things were supposed to go! This was an absurd level of progress!
Alaric was so surprised that his knees actually felt weak, and he stumbled down into the ground, almost losing his consciousness in the process.
In his defense, the last time he saw Michael was back in the auction. During that time, Michael was only in the 4th stage of the Body Formation realm. And then, just a few months later, he met Michael again, and now, he was in the same realm as he was.
He was in the 1st stage of the Nascent Spirit realm.
Those golden sand particles in his hand were undoubtedly a piece of Nascent Armor. His own Nascent Core told him that.
“But… but… lightning tribulations—”
Michael shrugged. “I don’t know about that either. My best guess was that my tribulation was replaced by that Starry Explosion in the sky.”
“… starry explosion… you did that…. Of course you did,” Alaric said, completely exhausted at this point. He grabbed his own head, as if trying to prevent his brain from exploding into a million pieces.
Michael’s casual revelations were enough to kill a man!
It took Alaric a few hours of laborious inhaling and exhaling before he was able to calm down and process everything Michael had told him.
“You just ascended to the Nascent Spirit realm, that’s why I couldn’t sense any Spirits from your core,” Alaric said, chugging a bottle of water Michael gave him.
“I heard it’s something about embodying your Diva, am I right?”
Alaric nodded. “I sincerely hope you didn’t rush your way through the Body Formation realm just to become a Nascent Spirit realm, because that was the only chance you’ll get to know your own Diva.
Yes. In the Nascent Spirit realm, cultivators must start embodying their Diva to advance through the stages.”
Then, he turned around and showed Michael his back.
A few seconds later, black, glossy wings unfurled out of his clothes as if it was part of the fabric from the very start.
Michael’s eyes widened. He intuitively knew that it was a Nascent Spirit armor. It was pinging like crazy in his senses like one of those metal detectors.
“In my Body Formation cultivation, I eventually found out that my talent is Chain Reaction. I have an instinct and talent in controlling the cause and effect of things around me.”
Michael remembered fighting Alaric. Any simple move of his would somehow cause a chain reaction that would be in his advantage. Like, striking a tree and causing a domino effect that would cause his opponent to get struck by the last tree.
“For me to earn Spirits, I have to take control of my talent. I have to completely become it.
If I want something to happen, then I must make sure that I know the cause and effects of my action that could lead to that event happening.
For example, if I want it to rain today, I cannot simply conjure magic to make the cloud precipitate. I have to control the cause of the rain. I have to increase the temperature of the earth, thereby causing water to evaporate into the clouds, making it heavy and eventually causing it to rain.
Once I do that, I will earn an appropriate amount of Spirits from the world. For simple actions like that, I would earn about 1 to 5 Spirits. But for bigger events that could change the world itself, I would earn a lot more.”
Alaric’s explanation helped Michael start to understand Spirits.
He had to do the things that a [Harbinger of the Future] would do. The more this action caused a change in the world, the more he would gain Spirits.
That was how a Diva would assert their identity onto the world!
