Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 670: Rebornian Maugnetics

Chapter 670: Rebornian Maugnetics
As soon as Zion’s hand got near the box, it seemed as if the floating piece of metal inside got triggered into a reaction. It vibrated, growing with intensity as he got closer, before finally shooting off towards his heart at near break-neck speed.
With the force of the GodForge piece hurling at his chest, Zion was thrown back, colliding against a few desks before crashing on the concrete wall.
The GodForge piece slowly seeped into Zion’s red scales, before eventually reaching into his inner system.
The metal travelled through his veins, instinctively finding its way through his organs and into his heart.
After crashing into the wall, Zion grabbed his chest and tried to feel for any entry wound but found none.
“Huh?” he asked out loud. “What happened? Where did it go?”
Meanwhile, Michael watched all of this with his Drone watching from every angle. With his Aubility Thermal Vision, he now saw the tiniest speck of orange light coming from Zion’s heart where there weren’t any from before.
This was proof that Zion was now a fully-fledged Maugnetic! The GodForge pieces didn’t reject him!
It worked, Michael rejoiced inwards. There was a part of him that thought that this wouldn’t work, especially since it was common knowledge that demi-humans couldn’t become Maugnetics.
But of course, he now figured out that the reason for that was because of their lack of talent. Without talent, there was no Diva.
However, the Dragonborns did have talent. In fact, every Rebornian all had talents, whether they were humans or demi-humans alike. With his Supreme Skill of Gift Bestowal, he was able to awaken the hidden talent within anyone.
“Congratulations, Zion. You are now a Maugnetic,” he said to the red-scaled Dragonborn.
“WOAH!… URGGHHHHHH!”
Zion balled up his fist and scrunched up his face as if he was trying to push out his bowel movements. After a while, he got tired.
“Haa… haa… why is it not working? Where’s my robot arms?!”
“You have to awaken your Diva first. And that can’t be forced. You have to naturally find the answer within yourself.”
This saddened Zion. “Really? But I want my robot arms now! Is there some secret to awakening it faster?”
Even though he’d gone through this before, Michael couldn’t give any concrete advice to Zion. After all, their Divas would be completely different from one another, meaning that their realizations and breakthroughs would not be applicable to one another.
If he tried to give advice to Zion, then it could push him into the wrong direction, further delaying his Diva awakening.
“You just have to look within yourself to learn about your Diva,” he said, hinting at the subconscious void within everyone. That was where Divas reside.
“Zion, be grateful that you even have a chance to become Maugnetic,” Sheina reprimanded him. “Lord Michael, may I have the honor of obtaining a box?”
He gestured for her to go ahead.
Sheina then carefully approached the box. She reached out with her hand, preparing herself for what’s about to happen.
The GodForge piece inside vibrated like crazy before shooting off towards her heart.
But unlike Zion, Sheina’s sharp eyes allowed her to follow through the GodForge piece’s fast trajectory as if it was her own arrow.
She was able to brace itself as it shot through her chest. But even with that, the force was still enough to throw her back a couple of meters as her foot skidded on the ground.
And just like Zion, a small ball of glowing orange light appeared on her chest, symbolizing the sliver of Aubility Power now in her body.
“Congratulations, Sheina.”
“Thank you, Lord Michael. I shall endeavor to awaken my Diva as fast as possible,” she said, bowing to him.
Now, there were two Dragonborns left.
“Go ahead, Umisu,” said Jaku, who was still lounging in a chair.
Umisu wanted to object, but was too shy to say anything with everyone else looking at her.
She slowly approached the boxes, with her eyes closed and her hand outstretched as far as possible.
Finally, she got close enough to trigger a reaction from the GodForge pieces. It sensed the presence of a Natural Maugnetic!
It vibrated and shot off towards her chest.
However, at the very last second, Umisu ducked out of pure nervousness, letting the GodForge piece fly off and directly into Jaku’s heart.
The sleepy Dragonborn was suddenly jolted awake as he felt the force of the GodForge piece push him out of the couch and into the air.
“Kughk! Kughk!” Jaku coughed. “Excuse me, I was trying to relax over here!”
“…so–sorry!” Umisu muttered, with her green scales blushing red.
But still, Jaku became a Maugnetic as well, so it was all good.
Eventually, Umisu worked up the courage to approach the boxes with her eyes open.
Then, a kilo of GodForge shot to her chest, integrating with her heart. But unlike everyone else, she stayed in place as she held her chest with both hands.
Now, all four Dragonborns had become Maugnetics. It would only be a matter of time until they awakened their Divas.
I wonder what their Divas would look like, he wondered. He wanted to know if there was a difference between a Diva from a human and a Diva from a demi-human.
“Now there’s just one left,” he announced.
“Me! Me! I want one!” Vivi said, buzzing around Michael’s face.
“You’re a Supreme Being. I don’t think you can,” he said to her.
“But I don’t want to get left out,” she complained. “Everyone’s getting GodForge pieces!”
He didn’t know why she was complaining. As a beastfolk, she could already use Aubility Power without GodForge pieces.
With Vivi out of the running, there was just one other person Michael wanted to have the GodForge pieces.
And that was Grieve.
It wasn’t out of favoritism, but because he was curious whether an Undead General Skeleton could become a Maugnetic.
His first thought was that it wasn’t possible. After all, he had no heart, which meant that the GodForge pieces had nothing to cling onto.
But it wouldn’t hurt to try.
Harbinger, do you think Grieve could become one?
[The skeleton? It would be interesting, but he doesn’t have a talent.]
To test this out, he had Grieve come close to the GodForge piece and do as the others did.
“You feel anything?”
“Oh no. I don’t feel anything!…oh, it’s because I don’t have any skin, hohohoho!”
Unfortunately, just as he suspected, Grieve couldn’t become a Maugnetic. It was a shame.
This just leaves one more GodForge piece to give someone.
Just then, in the corner of his eyes, he saw something violet jumping up and down.
He actively tried to ignore it.
“Is there someone else?” he asked himself, wracking his brains for an alternative.
“Master! I’m here, ready for duty!” Fudge saluted.
“Anybody? Is there anybody else?” he asked everyone.
But no matter where he looked, Fudge would always jump up and present himself to him.
“Sigh…”
If there was someone he didn’t want to give any more power to, then it would be Fudge. The things that this little mischievous devil could do with reality-bending Aubilities were terrifying to think about.
