Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family - Chapter 679: Iron Maiden church

Chapter 679: Iron Maiden church
Michael reluctantly followed Guillermo through the skies of the Nation of Reborn before the bat landed near a small little church made out of a metal that mimicked an old-style brick architecture.
They both landed near the doors, seeing all kinds of Iron Maiden symbols all over the church’s walls. Depictions of a benevolent metallic woman had her hands spread to the side, seemingly giving and gifting an automobile to the humans below her.
A metallic statue of the goddess was erected on top of the fountain on the front, which was spewing out water that entertained the kids watching from afar.
“Interesting,” Guillermo said as he transformed back into his Vampire form. “This church has a lot of devotion in it. I could feel the conviction of whoever built this on the very walls itself.”
“Uh huh, I’m sure they did,” Michael replied sarcastically.
They both entered the doors, finding themselves in an all metal room with rows of pews on the side, and a red pathway that led into an altar to the front.
There were a few Rebornians already kneeling on the pews, seemingly praying to the metallic deity depicted in the altar.
“This is quite a unique religion, this Iron Maiden. It seems… modern.”
“Modern. That’s right,” Michael nodded. “It’s definitely not the religion that you’re looking for…Have you satisfied your curiosity? Should we go now?” he asked Guillermo, but the Vampire shook his head and took a spot on the front pews.
Guillermo looked around him and copied the way that the people around him worshipped. With his hands touching the metallic pews and getting in contact with something intimate from the Iron Maiden, he closed his eyes.
Meanwhile, Michael just stood there on the side as the shadow underneath his feet morphed into a mochi-like shape.
“Master! Have you finally accepted yourself as the Chosen of the Iron Maiden?!” Fudge asked, excited. This was the first time Michael had visited one of the churches, or even acknowledged its existence.
“No. I’m just here accompanying a friend who was curious,” he replied. “And I still don’t fully accept the fact that the Iron Maiden is even a deity at all. She could have been just a very powerful cultivator from the ancient era.”
“Master, she had to be a deity! Or else how would she have known that attaching herself to you will become the single most greatest decision of her life? They must have been omniscient!”
Of course, MIchael wasn’t convinced. “Nope. I still stand by my words—”
Just then, his words trailed off as he saw something moving out of the corner of his eyes.
He turned to look at the pews and saw Guillermo’s body shaking. Not only that, but the exposed skin out of his long black coat started to sparkle as if he was exposed directly to the sun.
“What the?!”
Alarmed, he thought something had gone wrong. He immediately used his Supreme Skill to see if Guillermo’s life was in critical danger.
He was afraid that he would see Guillermo start to vaporize like in the movies, but using his Supreme Skill, he was able to see that the necrotic energy in Guillermo’s body wasn’t getting weaker. It was getting stronger instead!
Not only that, but he was starting to feel a sense of pressure around him as Guillermo started to emanate a strong Aubility Power coming directly from his Dao Heart. And using his Drone Vision proved that claim.
He saw the orange glow in Guillermo’s heart start to increase in luminosity!
He had seen this phenomenon before. He saw this exact same thing back when little Nixie first entered the rollercoaster, and her heart started to get stimulated enough to facilitate its growth.
Now somehow, just this little prayer allowed Guillermo to experience that same growth!
“Look, Master! Even that guy believes in the Iron Maiden more than you!” said Fudge.
Michael stayed silent for a moment, remembering that Vampires treated religion and belief as their way to stimulate their Dao Hearts. But he never really thought that it would work this way.
And judging from the look of surprise and utter shock from Guillermo’s face as he experienced this phenomenon, it was safe to say that this wasn’t something that happened regularly. This was new, even to him.
The only thing that he could think that would elicit that kind of reaction from Guillermo was if it was connected to the Deity that they’d been trying to find.
“There’s no way,” he muttered out loud.
And finally, Guillermo snapped out of his stupor, looking around and panting as he tried to catch his breath.
“Haa…ha… that was our DEITY!” Guillermo exclaimed.
“OH COME ON!”
…
…
…
After a few minutes, Guillermo was finally able to recover from the shock that he just experienced.
He looked at Michael with an incredulous look on his face. “This Iron Maiden is the one that we’ve been looking for!”
Michael looked at him and shook his head. “How could that be? You told me that your Goddess is one of creation and nature. But the Iron Maiden is the exact opposite of that. She’s the embodiment of metallurgy, something that is not natural and is made up by humanity? She’s a robot!”
Despite his words, Guillermo remained adamant. There was a crazed look on his face as he looked up at Michael.
“It has been said that the Deity has completely changed her entire appearance to survive the cataclysmic event. That’s what made her so much harder to track down for us Vampires. And it seemed that the appearance she chose to have was one that you now call the Iron Maiden!
She’s the Deity that we seek. I’m sure of it! It’s as it was written in the book that the Original Vampire left for us. If we worship the Deity that was lost in time, then our bodies would react in such a way that would bring elation in our very bodies!”
Guilllermo knew he was right, with every fiber of his being.
And Michael, after seeing physical proof of such a change in Guillermo’s body, could no longer deny that claim.
It seemed that the Iron Maiden truly was the Deity that they were looking for.
“Oh Great Gaia! We have finally found a trace of your Divinity!” praised Guillermo as he kneeled in front of the Iron Maiden’s statue in the altar.
So that’s the real name of the Iron Maiden? Gaia?
“Hehehehehe…”
Michael slowly turned his head and saw a wide grin on the little ninja slime’s face.
This was what he feared.
“Sir! Do you appreciate the Iron Maiden?” Fudge said, jumping towards Guillermo.
“Yes! Now that we have found Gaia, or the Iron Maiden, then it will become my life’s mission, no, the entirety of the Vampire race’s mission to restore this religion back into its rightful glory!”
“HEHEHEHE! Really?”
Guillermo nodded, his eyes full of conviction. “I shall report this to the other Vampires back in Metropolis. I have to inform them of this discovery! Michael, sir! Would you please transport me back?”
Although he didn’t like Fudge having more followers, and Vampire one at that, they still had a right to know the truth.
“Fine,” he reluctantly replied.
